Another installment of Billy Carson who is trying to find the killer of a good friend.
As usual, she's wreckless, fearless and determined to find the killer.
Absolutely love Billy Carson!

WoW and Bang I didn't want this book to finish and looking forward to book three!

I do recommend you read the first book in the Billie Carlson series called "Until I Find You" which was another 5 star book. This book gives you a good introduction into the Billie life being a Private investigator and a retired police officer..

I’d like to thank Quercus Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘If I Should Die’, the second in the Billie Carlson series written by Anna Smith, in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Private Investigator Billie Carlson has a phone call from an old friend living in Sweden, Lars Eriksson, whose sister Astrid has been found dead in woods in Thurso where she’d been studying. The police say it’s suicide so she promises Lars that she’ll investigate but soon finds herself caught up with drug smuggling and corruption. Meanwhile, Billie continues to search in Cleveland USA for her three-year-old son Lucas who was taken away by her ex-husband.

I didn’t believe ‘If I Should Die’ could be any better than the first book in the series but how wrong can I be? This is an exceptionally gripping thriller with tense nail-biting action, suspense, drama and twists and turns, and with so many fantastic characters that I was completely caught up in them and their parts in the story. Billie is amazing, feisty, hard-working and caring, who throws herself into situations regardless of how she’s endangering her life, and there’s Millie her ‘front-of-house’ lady who manages the office, who’s just perfect. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading this book that’s been written by an extremely talented author and when I reached the final chapter I couldn’t believe it was ending. There’s such a dramatic cliff-hanger on the final pages that I wanted more and am waiting for the next instalment with great anticipation. I can wholeheartedly recommend this thriller and would willingly give it ten stars if I could.

If I should Die.
Another superb read from an amazing Author. Anna Smith has been a favorite author for many many years. I love each and everyone of her books that I have read. This authors work is never disappointing.
A gripping and tense story line that keeps you gripped from page one.
Billie Carlson is a PI. asked to aid in a suspicious death. The death of a friend.
While also battling her own demons Carlson throws everything she can at this case.
I can highly recommend this authors work. I have no issues in giving the full 5 stars it deserves.

Having read most, of not all, Anna Smith’s books, there was no hesitation in grabbing this one and sitting down to turn its pages.
However, the blurb sounded familiar and indeed the book, as I began to read it became equally familiar, so looking back through titles I had given feedback on, it turned out that I had indeed read it before.
Anyway, it was put down and I went on to other titles.

This second book in the Billie Carson series was thoroughly gripping. With some progress being made in the search for her missing son, the book really does pull you in, making you feel personally invested.
The case Billie is working doesn’t turn out to be straightforward, and she finds herself needing the help of old colleagues and her best friend.
This truly is amazing. And I can’t wait for the next one!
