Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Deep Tide by Laura Griffin. in return for my honest review.
I am a real fan of Laura Griffins books and this one does not disappoint this is a great romantic thriller. Although this is the 4th book in this series it can easily be read as a standalone. Once I started reading it was very hard to put down it has the perfect balance of romance and crime and in true Laura Griffin fashion really likeable lead characters, I Would defiantly recommend reading Deep Tide and also the other books in the series.

Deep tide by Laura Griffin.
The texas murder files book 4.
Leyla finds one of her employees murdered in the alley behind her coffee shop. Sean Moran is on an undercover The seaside community of Lost Beach may look like a picturesque postcard, but his team suspects it's a point of intersection for several crime syndicates that the FBI has been investigating for years.
This was a really good read. I did enjoy it. Although book 4 I was able to read this as a standalone. I did like Leyla and Sean. I liked how they hit it of straight away. I'm looking forward to the next book. I will get the First 3 books to read. Great series. 4*.

This is the 4th book in the series but all of the books can be read as stand alones as they all feature a different set of main characters set in the same town. The balance of romance and crime is perfect and is such a nice easy read. There are some great recurring characters and both Leyla and Sean are so lovable. Their romance is adorable. There’s not so much mystery behind the crime but you get the tension from the risk to Leyla and how/if they will be able to catch the bad guys.

I received a copy of the ebook via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

Back to Lost Beach, Tx we go!

This time around we're rooting for Leyla, sister of two LBPD cops, and Sean, friend of her brother and FBI agent "on holiday".

Leyla's café is doing well and she's expanded into catering. But when there is a snag with her brothers wedding cake, she returns to the café to pick it up. But next morning she finds one of her employees dead.

Sean came for a wedding but may have to stay to help tie in the newest murder to his FBI case. He doesn't want to take over and he definitely doesn't want Leyla involved. However, Leyla wants to know who killed her employee and is messing with her town!

Sean and Leyla have sparks flying all over the place. Neither wants to start something may have to abandon when Sean returns to DC but the chemistry is strong between these two. I loved the way Sean worked with LBPD, especially Nicole. He's trying to help without spilling the beans about his federal case and I think he and Nicole worked well together. Joel and Owen just can't stop being Leyla's big brothers and are interfering all over the place!

Lots of action, a tight storyline, engaging characters and a great mystery to solve. Characters that make you smile, laugh and want to throw things occasionally! Hoping for another visit soon!

This book ticked all the boxes! It’s a mystery thriller with romance thrown in. What’s not to like?
When attending her brother, Joel’s wedding, caterer and cafe owner, Leyla Breda, meets Sean who claims to be a friend of Joel. Her brother is a police detective and it seems Sean is in law enforcement too. He is investigating a tech villain in Leyla’s supposedly sleepy seaside town.
When a young woman is murdered, Leyla is shocked and when this crime starts to connect to Sean’s case she tries to help him work out what’s going on.
Despite her resolve not to get involved with out of towers or tourists, Layla is strongly attracted to Sean and he feels the same way.
However, danger is everywhere and as Nicole, the detective assigned to the murder case, investigates it becomes clear that that the crime and Sean’s job are connected.
I enjoyed the romantic side of the book as well as the crime element. There wasn’t really a lot of mystery as to what was happening, it was more the interaction of the characters, particularly Sean and Leyla .There was also a lot of tension when Layla decides to help Sean despite him wanting her to keep out of it and not put herself in danger.
This was an easy read and I skipped through it in a couple of days! If you like romance, crime and an exciting and fast paced read you will definitely enjoy this book.
Thanks to NetGalley and Headline for my advance copy.

I started this ' just while I had a coffee ' but my plans for the day changed. The kids were out, it was so peaceful and I just didn't want to stop reading it. The characters were easy to like and felt real, the romance not over the top and the plot kept me guessing. A highly enjoyable read for me.
