The book was okay and had a fair share of twist but unfortunately The story wasn't for me. I just thought it was all a little far fetched. How would Kate think it's okay to follow another couple and interject herself into their life when she would have plenty to sort out in her own life. Kate was a victim of domestic abuse with her partner, but she was also sneaky, conniving and dishonest.

I have read the book within 24 hours. The chapters are short and Daniel's style of writing is easy flowing. I will try other books of him.

Not only is Kate’s wedding right around the corner, she hasn’t chosen her dress yet. She’s about to attend a hen party with her friends but there’s a much bigger problem than the fact that she hasn’t found the dress of her dreams. What is going on? Kate is in an abusive relationship with her partner, Mark. The emotional damage Kate experiences with Mark grows exponentially.

While shopping for her wedding dress one day Kate spots what she feels is the perfect couple. A beautiful bride to be and a dropdead gorgeous groom to be. To say that Kate becomes obsessed would be an understatement. She is quite crafty and discovers the names of the couple, with the man being named Tristan. Kate will go to any lengths possible to get close to Tristan, and that is where the story really takes off.

Kate is not happy in her relationship, and if things go the way that she wants, just maybe things might not be so happy for that perfect couple she ran into at the bridal shop. Kate is now on a mission, and this means that she just might upset any future plans.

Every now and again, you read books that have characters that you love to hate, and that’s how things are with Kate. Yes, she was a victim of domestic abuse with her partner, but she was also sneaky, conniving and dishonest. The question is, what about those two impending marriages? Would either of them take place? For an unputdownable domestic thriller, don’t miss this latest book by Daniel Hurst.

There wasn’t a single thing I enjoyed about this storyline. The story was silly and not believable and not engaging. And there is no plot twist that makes reading it worth it. It took me 3 weeks to finish because I was dreading picking up my kindle every time.

Don’t recommend this one.

Another enjoyable read by Daniel Hurst. The Bride To Be is fast paced and you're drawn in from the first line. It's not the best that Daniel has written nor is it the most shocking but I did enjoy it. He has a great way of creating these really unlikeable characters. I did feel a little bit disappointed with the ending but overall it is a decent read and I'll always pick up one of Daniel's books.

Yet another gripping read from Daniel Hurst. Kate is looking for a wedding dress for her upcoming wedding to Mark. While looking she spots another couple looking for a wedding dress. From this point the book really gets underway. I'm not sure I liked Kate, certainly didn't like her husband to be, Mark. Yet that didn't spoil the story , I fact Mark certainly added to the tension and intrigue.

Kate is getting married! Good news, right? Well, not so fast. She's not 100 percent sure if her groom to be is the one for her. After all, Mark can be kind of condescencing, resulting in a lot of hurt feelings. She loves Mark but feels that something is missing. It's just not the fairy tale she expected when she dreamed of getting married.

One day, while in the bridal store, Kate sees another couple and is instantly taken with the man. He seems ideal in the way he treats HIS wife to be. She's convinced that this couple has the perfect life, the one she always dreamed of.

What follows is a woman's desperate attempt to feel loved and appreciated. WIthout giving anything away, things unravel quickly. So many things happen to the point where it really starts spiraling out of control to where Kate can't even recognize her own life.

I thought the book had great premise. For the most part, I coudn't wait to get back to it. But, I think the author attempted a "twist" at the end and it just fell flat for me. Maybe, if I hadn't been expecting something crazy to happen at the end, I would have liked it better, so that may be on me. Overall though, I would say it was entertaining. I loved the idea of this story just didn’t really like the storyline. I am not sure where I saw this going honestly. I definitely saw Kate being more extreme than she was as a character. I feel Tristan’s character could have been more cocky or arrogant as well. Overall it’s a good thriller just didn’t like the twist.

I really wanted to enjoy this book based on the description and prologue but unfortunately this book fell flat for me. The plot was a little unrealistic and it took me a while to get into. I just could not get past her still wanting to marry a person who is abusing her. I also was not a fan of the other characters. I felt that they could have been a little more developed in the beginning. Unfortunately, I am unable to give a rating as I did not finish this book. I enjoyed other Daniel Hurts books and I still hope to read more of them in the future.

Kate is getting married to Mark, even though she has doubts as Mark is quite controlling, as she is trying on a wedding dress she spots a happy couple and becomes obsessed with the pair.

Another amazing book by Daniel Hurst, I was so intrigued and couldn't put my kindle down, I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen and what did happen didn't disappoint, I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

The Bride To Be by Daniel Hurst was a very good read and hard to put down, especially as it was well written throughout and Daniel had a way of drawing you to his latest book. All the characters were excellent and so believable.........

I highly recommend The Bride To Be by Daniel Hurst it's a good grab for holiday read laying by the pool etc.

Really enjoyable read. Very twisty. I did like Kate but I wasn't sure about Tristan or Mark or Molly. Definitely worth a read. 5*.

This was my first book by him but it will definitely not be my last I know he has a lot of published books so I better get reading

This book is very well written and hard to put down!! Very believable feelings for all characters. What would you do if the person you want to spend the rest of your life with shows his true colors right before the wedding? I could feel the character's responses and actions,also her guilt.

Daniel Hurst has a way with words that will keep you hooked on reading his books. In The Bride To Be you don’t know who to trust. This is the story of two wedding that are weeks away but as the reader finds out not everyone is excited about the upcoming weddings. I loved this book and read it in one afternoon. It is a single POV story so you don’t really know what the other characters are thinking. If you love thrillers that keep you guessing you will love this book!

The Bride to Be was my first Daniel Hurst book; a fast paced, psychological thriller, with short chapters, which I personally love, and a few twists.

The Bride to be is told from a single POV, Kate, a slightly bananas MC, with stalkerish behavior. Kate reminded me of Ali Larter’s character, Lisa, in the movie Obsessed, a 2009 thriller/drama. While her antics kept me on the edge of my seat, I do wish we would have had another perspective, perhaps Tristian, Tess, or her partner Mark. (Maybe even Chrissy from the dress shop)

While I was entertained, I found myself wanting more; a little more thrill in my thriller! I felt like the epilogue attempted to give us more, but it also felt a little random/ a tad unnecessary.

Overall, I found The Bride to Be a “popcorn”thriller 🍿 , or what I like to refer to as a beach read or airplane read. (It’s just intriguing enough, and can keep you entertained on a short flight) I will, however, try Daniel Hurst again, as he has received a lot of hype on his books, and everyone deserves a second chance!

This is the 3rd book by Daniel Hurst I have read. Usually, I'm entertained from beginning to end. Unfortunately, The Bride to Be left me a little disappointed and wanting more. It didn't have the same level of character development and the normal twists and turns that I've grown to expect from Hurst. It's definitely still a good thriller that I will recommend, just not my favorite.

"What if saying yes was only the first mistake?"

I am a huge fan of Daniel Hurst and know that anything of his will keep me entertained and riveted until the very last page. THE BRIDE TO BE was no different. It is, however, one book that makes you think twice about tying the knot! How can one come through such an experience and not be affected, you have to ask? And for much of the story it does make for some uncomfortable reading as the reader can feel the claustrophobia, of being trapped and the see-saw of emotions that always come from a situation such as this.

A wedding day is meant to be a happy occasion. The prospect of said wedding equally joyful. But for Kate, it is anything but. Approaching forty with all her friends now long since married and raising families of their own, Kate feared that she might be left on the shelf. That is, until she met Mark who swept her off her feet, romanced her and now here they are...planning their upcoming wedding. Kate should be excited by this prospect and yet still three weeks out from the big day she still hasn't found a wedding gown. So it's not unusual that she would find herself in a bridal shop trying on a variety of dresses that on the surface look good but when she gets them on, they don't feel right.

Until she sees the perfect dress. Only problem is, it is one another customer is wearing for her fitting with her husband-to-be in tow. The man smiles appreciatively and appears to love the dress his fiance is wearing and Kate knows in that moment she wants that dress and she wants that man.

She may be engaged to marry Mark in just three weeks' time but, let's face it, she's not happy with him. And who would be with the way he speaks to her and treats her? It's only a matter of time before his psychological abuse becomes physical. So why wouldn't she be looking for a way out? And for some reason, she sees Tristan as her escape route, deciding that he is her ideal man and devises a plan to get closer to him. But as she does, she discovers that his seemingly perfect life is far from rosy. Unfortunately, things are not all that they seem to be on that front either.

So as their wedding draw nearer, Kate knows she has some big decisions to make. Should she leave Mark? And what about Tristan and his upcoming nuptials? How can Kate help him without making things worse for them both? And when she discovers a dark secret about the man she's to marry, how will that affect the outcome?

THE BRIDE TO BE is a fast paced page turner typical of Hurst's standards. As stated previously, it does make for some uncomfortable reading at times...particularly when I've been in the same situation and know exactly what it feels like and to hope for that chink of light that offers some hope of something better. I could really feel myself in Kate's shoes in that respect...her stalking of Tristan? Not so much. I did find her decisions in that regard a little out there but then she was desperate. And how can she not be? Mark is controlling and abusive. He spends most of his time moody and belittling every small thing only to love bomb her afterwards to keep her second guessing herself...and to stop her from leaving him. He is clever, manipulative and dangerous. He gaslights her at every turn. Is it any wonder she's confused?

So Kate must devise a plan of escape. But can she go through with it?

An entertaining and addictive read, THE BRIDE TO BE is actually quite a terrifying tale of manipulation and duplicity that will keep everyone second guessing themselves. The tension is taut, the plot addictive with several twists that will leave you shocked and awed. While the epilogue leaves readers (and Kate) with something to consider, I can't help but feel it was superfluous and I felt I could have done without it. Having said that, someone always knows the truth. But to what end?

Enjoyable, entertaining and fast paced, THE BRIDE TO BE is everything I expect from this brilliant and witty author. It is the type of thriller that just begs to be read in one sitting...

Daniel Hurst is another grab-everything-he-has author. Psychological thrillers are my fave and he delivers!

Daniel Hurst seems to be all over social media at the moment, I had not read one of his books before and was amazed at just how many books he he written considering he has only been a full time author for just a few years, he really is a prolific author! I was delighted to be given the opportunity to read a copy of The Bride To Be, I devoured it in one sitting, desperate to know how it ended, I was not disappointed!
This will certainly not be my last Daniel Hurst book.

Ah! The feeling of finding a comfort author!
I have read a few by this author this year and they just get better each time!

Pre warning that ‘The Bride To Be’ is based on abusive and toxic relationships.

With a unique and original plot line, this story was super fast paced and gripped me from the start. The first chapter was *chefs kiss* and I knew that I would enjoy it.

This book had an amazing ending with plenty of shocking twists along the way. I also feel like some of the best thrillers are ones that make you feel something and oh boy did I feel HATRED towards Mark. Easily my most hated character I have ever read!!

I highly recommend this to thriller readers who enjoy thrillers with:

- Secrets
- Deception
- Intense story
