I have mixed feelings about this one. I did enjoy it, but it just wasn't a favorite. I believe it's marketed as romantic suspense, but it fell sort of flat for me. I wasn't really invested in the romance, although their meet cute in the first couple of chapters was absolutely hysterical. And I figured out who the stalker was pretty quickly. I'll probably stear clear of this genre in the future. If you're a cozy mystery fan, this might be more to your liking than mine.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley and CallaghanWriter for the Advanced Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review. As someone who deals with frequent chronic headaches I was interested in seeing a chronic pain representation in a book because I had never seen that before. I thought that Ms. Perfectly Fine captured the frustration and struggle of living life in pain perfectly.
As far as the storyline, It took me a little bit to get into it, but once I did I couldn’t put the book down. This cute romance with a side of suspense was a great read that had my smiling one minute and puzzled the next. I absolutely loved the ending from both the romance and suspense point of view.

2,5/5 stars
Many thanks to Netgalley for the ARC!!
This book was such a ride for me. Even though 2,5 is not bad, is not great either and I think it is portrayed in the book as a whole. The writing is not bad, is actually quite easy to read and it makes a quick and casual read. One thing I would be careful of would be unnecessary descriptions. Sometimes, the bedsheets were described and I was there reading it like "Why would I want to know this if it doesn't provide anything to the plot?". Other times, the personality traits or quirks of the chacarters were rather told and not shown, which can take the reader out of the book while reading it.
Not only that, the plot sometimes lacks a bit of reality. This is, the two main characters end up living together in the most annoying way possible: via a misunderstanding. I understand that for it to be a forced proximity there has to be some type of obligation in the middle, but the situation just made me mad instead of making me want them to be together. My first annotations in my Kindle are literally all in capital letters screaming to the male protagonist.
What's more, the characters are supposed to be in their late twenties, I think Elijah was the oldest one and he was in the middle of his thirties (correct me if I'm wrong), and they both acted like 15 year old teenagers at the beginning of the book. Him stealing her food as if he didn't just enter her home without permission and take all her things away and the jokes sometimes felt too juvenile.
However, the romance was not bad, it was a tad too cringey at times, but I think the main problem is that this all happens in like 3 weeks time and I felt like they were rushing too much into things. Hell, they were already living together they were like step 8/10 in the relationship. They both have character development tho and I ended up hoping the best for both of them at the end of the book. One thing I will say, the sex was way too quick, in like 3 paragraphs they were done and dusted, and it surely was not the best scenes of the book. Just wanted some more description there, not only just sexual but like the romantic touches and the physical connection between the two,
The mystery is quite foreseeable in a specific point in the book, like the interactions and dialogues do not leave any room for other options or doubts. However, it is quite beautifully presented at the beginning, with details that we know wouldn't be part of a typical romance book and make us want to keep reading to know where they came from. The outcome is the one I already expected, but I will not comment on that as I am not one to read enough mysteries to critique it objectively.
Overall, not a bad book but there is a lot of room for betterment, maybe it was not the best book for me but it could perfectly be for another person so I invite you to give the story of Autumn and Elijah a go!

Story kept me wanting to read more. A bit different than what I am use to but the characters drew me in. Good story and will read more from the author.

⭐️⭐️.5
Ms Perfectly Fine was just...fine. The book's premise was interesting, and I enjoyed the characters, but in the end, it just fell flat for me. That, and this book took me forever to get through since I kept losing interest and putting the book down.
I felt like there was no real tension between the two MCs, and while I would normally love a reverse grumpy sunshine story, I just found the FMC to be a bit annoying and frustrating I'm how stubborn she was.
The writing was not bad, but I think the author had a habit of telling rather than showing, which I think also played into the "just fine" vibes I was getting from the book.
I'd say if you like good sise characters, reverse grumpy sunshine, strong chronic pain representation, and super cute dogs, then this would be a good book for you. Just know that it might pack the same punch that most romances would bring.

Really excited about this book. It was an Absolutely phenomenal read. High will recommend to others to pick up as soon as it is released.

****SPOILERS AHEAD****
I like that the prologue starts off strong and immediately you’re aware of Autumn’s background. It is straight o the point without window dressing.
The book could do without the pop culture references.
Some mistakes all over such as mistaking a quote from Nina that Elijah actually said, and in the bathroom scene Autumn was wearing a t-shirt but then she says dress??
I love the banter and back-and-forth between Autumn and Elijah. If I was Autumn, I would be more upset if someone took my food without permission.
I loved Elijah’s character growth throughout the story, like when he felt guilty for betraying his dad.
I did not expect the suspense but I was really into it. Trying to figure out who was harassing Autumn made the story really interesting to me, although it was kind of obvious. Nonetheless, I was still interested in how the culprit was going to get caught.
I think the two main characters fell in love too easily but the chemistry was definitely there. Tasteful spice scenes, not too much spice but not too little.
Overall, I really enjoyed the writing style and the story. I rate it 4 stars.

So I really wanted to like this. It has good rep for chronic pain and it does focus on that a lot but everything else just slacked.
I figured out the plot twist 10% in. It was way too obvious. They couple went from enemies to lovers within three weeks and he was even like “the woman I love” like dude??
I feel like they’re “revenge plans” was just petty and childish. Like I’m sorry but if someone was stealing my food, I would put either too much salt in it or something to make them stop. And just waking up early to play music loudly just didn’t seem efficient enough.
They had no development to their relationship. They went from “get out my house” to awkward situations to “oh we’re in love, by the way, I bought us a house” 3 WEEKS INTO KNOWING EACH OTHER. Like I get she loves the house but bloody hell…
It really dragged and I just did not enjoy this book which is a shame because I was looking forward to it. I skimmed the end of the book as I was just bored and wanting to dnf
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for allowing me to read this arc in exchange of my honest review

I enjoyed this book. I realized the twist early on, but I still finished! The main character reminds me of myself with her stubbornness so she was totally relatable in that regard. Overall, not a bad read!

This book was such an easy read for me. I loved the description and was excited to read it.
I really enjoyed the romance portion of the book but I would have liked more suspense throughout the book rather than focusing on the end.
I will admit that I wished I could have seen more about how the characters went from enemies to lovers as the transition was quite quick.
I would recommend reading the book but only if you really vibe with the tropes and description.
Thanks to NetGalley and Kate Callaghan for the ARC.

Autumn was a child prodigy and is on track to being a headlining act, but she hasn't performed in the spotlight for 10 years. Not since a tragic accident that gave her horrendous injuries and killed her best friend. Autumn is working her way back to the spotlight and she has a strict routine that may be able to get her there. When her landlord forgets to tell her that she was getting a housemate, everything is thrown up in the air.
Elija just wants to finish making his epic computer game and sell it so that he and his best friend can launch their business. If it means he needs to take an investment from his estranged father and move into one of his investment houses, he will do it. He did not count on his dad forgetting to tell Autumn he was moving in and the war that it starts.
Will they be able to get past this rough start? Will Autumn make it to her comeback show? Will Elija sell his game and get out from under his father's thumb? And who is sending Autumn flowers?
This was a fun light read but I felt the enemies to lovers aspect could have been better utilised to create more angst but overall it was a good book. I loved the added tension from the roses and the spice was delicious.
Big thanks to Netgalley and Kate Callaghan for an ARC of this book for my review.

This is one of those books you read when you are on holiday or if it is cold and wet out and you want to relax with a good book. It is not my usual style or genre but I did enjoy it for what it was.
It is cute definitely, a chic-lit style and the characters are quite sweet (and grumpy) too. I can't say it was a book I loved but it was a bit of fun with a bit of romance and mystery as well. All in all an okay read. 2 1/2 stars from me.
Thank you NetGalley and CallaghanWriter for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

This book was a good combination of thriller and romance with the romance being the main plot. I liked the enemies to lovers, forced proximity and grumpy-sunshine aspects of Autumn and Elijah’s relationship, but I think Autumn wasn’t very likeable, sometimes she wasn’t grumpy, she was straight up rude with Elijah but she was a sweetheart with everyone else… which didn’t make much sense. But the representation of PTSD and chronic pain was very accurate and well done, I loved that aspect of the book.
I also think that the timeline was off and didn’t work with the story, that everything happened in 3 weeks was too rushed, it would’ve been better that it happened over at least a couple of months to make it smoother.
But overall it was an enjoyable read and it made me interested in the author’s other works.
And last thing, my favorite part: Brinkley… I love a fur baby in a story 🥰

What a treat! Ms. Perfectly Fine was such a sweet and fun read! With an enemies-to-lovers vibe between a grump (her) and sunshine (him), I was sure it would be a cute read! Especially when you force these two into sharing a home! Throw in a bit of mystery and suspense and it was a book that kept me turning the pages!
Autumn Adler is a concert pianist, once hailed as a prodigy, making her come back after a traumatic accident caused irreparable damage to her both mentally and physically. Living with chronic pain from an accident that drastically changed her life, Autumn uses routine and control to stay within her comfort zone. Elijah is a game developer who has moved closer to home in order to help his gaming company make it big. How do these two even collide? Well, unbeknownst to Autum, her landlord has just given the bottom half of her rental to Elijah and they are now housemates! Elijah is immediately smitten with Autumn, who wants nothing to do with him and thus ensues our enemies-to friends-to lovers! But, wait, there is more...as Autumn's comeback draws closer, unforeseen incidents continue to threaten her big night, and even threatening her safety...turning our sweet golden retriever, Elijah, into a swoony protective hero.
I adored Autumn and Elijah's relationship. It was a bit of insta-love on his part but, he did back off and really dig into the friendship before showing his cards! Their banter was spot-on and the things they did to get under each other's skin had me giggling throughout the book! There were a lot of connected subplot details that could be construed as confusing but, I had no problem seeing how each part had its place is making the story better. Kate's ability to realistically depict Autumn's chronic pain without making it her identity was impressive and enhanced her character without overwhelming the plot. I will be the first to admit I am not the best sleuth, but I felt Kate did a good job of convoluting the "Who Done It?" aspect of the story until close to the end, which kept me guessing and invested in the story. And, this review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Elijah's pup, Brinkley, who absolutely stole moments in this show! Overall, this was a good read for fans of romantic suspense with swoon, plot, and mild details in the spice department!
I voluntarily read & reviewed an ARC of this book from NetGalley and Kate Callaghan. All thoughts & opinions are my own.

Autumn Adler is a concert pianist who is making her solo comeback after a tragic accident ten years ago. Left coping with chronic pain, Autumn needs to remain focused if she plans on a successful showcase and the three month tour that follows. Enter Elijah Wells, an unwanted distraction who barges into Autumn's home and has no plans of leaving, especially since her landlord rented him the ground floor. When Autumn beings receiving veiled threats, can she and Elijah put aside their shenanigans to stop a sinister stalker before someone gets hurt?
Ms. Perfectly Fine was fine. In my opinion, this novel had pacing issues for what it was trying to accomplish. One scene would be played out between Autum and Elijah, only to have it retold between Autumn and her friend. I wanted an enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine romance and what I got was brief bantering before heavy flirting commenced. With the added element of the stalker, I wish we could have gotten a faster moving plot, but the speed stayed the same.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

Honestly this book is such a cute read. I love the reverse grumpy x sunshine as I rarely see the girl as the grumpy one. One of the main reasons I was tempted to read this was because of that and it did not disappoint. I love how it shows chronic pain. One that is hard to explain but explained just right throughout the story without flat out saying it. Forced proximity.. check! Hates everyone but you.. check! I love how they are both equally independent people but can show small little things they depend on each other for. If you're looking for a cute romance with a little bit of suspense then this is definitely the book for you!

Thanks to Netgalley and Kate Callaghan for providing me with an eARC in exchange for a honest review 💜
The story is about Autumn and Elijah. Autumn is a famous concert pianist. After a tragic accident, she’s aiming towards a comeback on the stage. She decides to rent a house from Tim, who is basically a father figure for her. The only issue is that Elijah has rented the ground floor of the same house. Elijah is a game designer, that is trying to build his own company. They’re both equally stubborn, and Autumn really doesn’t want a roommate when she has lived in that house alone for some time. Since neither of them want to move out, they’re forced to live with each other. Autumn tries to push him away, but that’s when Elijah wants her even more. Besides Elijah, Autumn has a bigger problem. Someone is sending her roses with threatening notes…
This book is actually a reverse grumpy/sunshine, where Autumn is the grumpy one and Elijah is the sunshine. I’ve never read a book where the roles are switched, so I really enjoyed it. The biggest issue I had with this book was the writing style. It was written in third person, and I’m not a fan of that. I love to read about how the characters feel and what they think, but that’s almost impossible in third person storylines. Because of that, I felt less connected to the characters.
If you enjoy enemies to lovers and forced proximity with a suspense subplot, I think you should definitely give it a try. Overall it was a quick and easy read, and I loved that the book had a musical setting. I also really adored Brinkley, the cutest little fur baby!
𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀: illness, accident, death, stalking, chronic pain. Please do your own research 🖤

What drew me to this was one, the cover and two, the description. I don't remember the last time I read a book where any of the main characters dealt with chronic pain and I love that little representation. This also had two of my favorite tropes enemies to lovers and grumpy x sunshine, bonus point for it being a the reserve kind too. The little suspense subplot was also a nice touch. There was a little bit of everything in this book but it wasn't overwhelming, and I found it still easy to read through. One thing that I wasn't a fan of is the third person point of view. I'm personally not a fan of those as I found it hard to get into. It took me a while maybe, around the 20-25% before I got used to it. Once I hit that point, the rest of the book went by smoothly.
I would recommend this book, though if the third person POV is not your thing this might not be your cup of tea.
Thank you NetGalley and IBPA for giving me this eARC in exchange for a honest review.

This was okay. I thought the premise, title, and cover are so cute. The characters lacked a certain depth and just a bit more maturity that I look for. The writing also read a bit young for my personal liking. I can see myself possibly recommending this but I personally needed more to really engage with the characters and stay interested.

Let's talk about the book that has warm up my heart in these past few weeks!
🩵SYNOPSIS:
Autumn a young girl who slowly gains her confidence, after a tragic accident, then she sees her home "invaded" by Elijah who will be her housemate from now on. Focused on herself and her recovery Autumn tries her best to distance herself from emotions towards Elijah, but Elijah has found his world in her.
🩵 OPINION
I requested this book from NetGalley when I read the synopsis that promised a romance with a little bit of mystery! And what a well-dosed book with romantic scenes, spicy and mystery: touché!
I loved the construction of Autumn as a character with an intense and traumatic background that brought her with chronic physical pain. And then Elijah with a dysfunctional family, but his heart is intact with kindness.
And yes, you will get some tropes here like enemies to lovers and reverse grumpy x sunshine, which I confess to you they are my favorite!
It made me feel really good to read this book, because of its ability to show us that despite many storms in life, we have to be the ones to bring a little sunshine into the sky... sometimes love can help that process. After all, the cure for pain is love!
I recommend it 100% for romance lovers and mystery lovers!
Once again, thank you so much @netgalley for this ARC and @callaghanwriter as well! What an amazing job you done 🫶🏻
