Autumn and Elijah are thrown (quite literally) into doing life together. Autumn is a concert pianist with chronic pain from a previous accident that she survived and Elijah is a well-off game designer that needs a big investor. His investor gives him the money under one condition- he moves into the downstairs room of the house Autumn rents from him. This sets up the perfect enemies to lovers trope while they navigate coexisting in the same home. They both have a few secrets from their past that come to haunt them and test the relationship they are building.
This book was a classic enemies to lovers romcom with a little bit of a mystery twist. I thought the author did a wonderful job with the build up of their relationship while not getting overly cheesy/cringey. The light mystery element kept me hooked (without it, I’m not sure I would have given this book four stars). Overall a good light and easy romcom book that will have you smiling but also at the edge of your seat to see the mystery element unfold. I will also note I think the author did a wonderful job describing chronic pain and brining to light what so many people go through just to live a “normal” life. You truly never know what people are going through and their personal battles.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

First of all i would like to thank NetGalley &Kate Callaghan for letting me read this eARC, this was my first Arc experience ♡
My overall rating for this book would be ☆☆☆☆/☆☆☆☆☆
Cover; 9/10 --> the faces got minus 1..
Title; 8/10 --> too long but loved the way it matched the story
maps or playlist or dedication; 1000/10 -->so cute ♡♡
the story; 8/10
|--> I had no trouble getting into the story, i just think some stuff should be improved. Like instead of just explaining the story, we could´ve seen it straight from their eyes. If not so, why bother with povs under the number of the chapter or writing their inner thoughts with italic? That just didn´t seem relistic. Oh and i also think the ending was a little rushed. The book contains and we got to hear that it was Nina all along in chapter 33 or something. So it felt like just wrapping the book up fast.
Anyway, thanks again, and hope to read more from Kate Callaghan♡

This was a cute book. I'm not usually one for suspense books, but the romance element intrigued me. Ultimately, I felt like the book dragged on a bit, and I didn't vibe with the writing style.
Autumn is a pianist who is still healing physically and emotionally from an accident that happened on stage many years ago. Her carefully planned routines are disrupted when her landlord rents out the first floor of her house to Elijah. Elijah is the head of his own video game making company and needs a place to finish his game. They both are hesitant to live together but eventually put aside their differences once feelings arise. Some troubling gifts start appearing for Autumn as her first solo performance is coming up.

*Thank you to the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) and Netgalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review! *

Thanks, Netgalley. I received this book in exchange for a review.
And a review I shall give.
First, the plot had potential. You have a pianist who has a tragic accident and finally feels comfortable to go back on stage 6 years later. Her landlord rents out the front half of her home to this game developer. While she sorts out her feelings for him, she also has to figure out who keeps leaving her roses at her door. As her feelings for her new roommate grow, so does the frequency of the roses and the escalation of her stalker starts to turn dark. Is our heroin safe? Will she have the comeback so many are waiting for, or will she crumble from the stress of it all? Can she learn to let this new guy into her home? How about her heart?
The plot is all there. This sounds like it should be exciting. Unfortunately, it reads like a really bad wattpad. It is clear that this author did not use an editor, I almost wanted to contact the author and say I would edit this book for free to spare anyone else from having to deal with it. Besides the obvious (there were spelling errors and grammar errors), the dialogue read forced and confusing with a spalsh of immature. For people in their thirties, their vocabulary should include words other than "the dirty" to express intercourse unless it is being said as a joke. And when the main characters are in the middle of doing "the dirty" (I can't and I shan't let this go), it feels like two virgins who have watched many hours of porn and romance movies but didn't learn a thing from them.
The entire book focuses on their relationship, and then the last 6 chapters are spent rushing the subplot of the roses. In the end, it would appear that the author decided to slap together a stereotypical thriller ending that even Helen Keller saw coming. I would have liked more of the subplot throughout the book, I feel like there was so much that could have been done. Also, I think maybe the author forgot some of the random details sprinkled in at the beginning. For instance, Aiden was working on a case where a flower shop was broken into, and only a few flowers were taken. What happened to that? It's not the only plot hole, but it's one that is plaguing me.
Other plot holes include but are not limited to:
Elijah's mom and step dad, does Elijah ever get to know Frank more? Did he ever call his mom back after he promised he would?
Elijah's bio dad. Do they ever make true amends. Did Tim follow through on his end and come out to the public about his illegitimate son?
Autumn's mom and Mollie's mom. Do they reconnect? Do they become friends again?
Lena's dad. Bro, where is he???? Did he die??? Da heck???
Why did baby Todd go to the hospital? Is he okay??? HOW DOES HE HAVE AIDEN'S EYES AND FRACIS' HAIR???? THEY'RE TWO MEN??? THIS IS SCIENTIFICLY IMPOSSIBLE???????
There's more, but I'm not going to list every single one out.
The relationship between Autumn and Nina is awful. I would not consider Autumn a friend to anyone. She's completely self obsessed. Nina breaks up with her boyfriend, and instead of sitting on this and talking about it, Autumn instead decides to tell her how happy she is starting a relationship with Elijah and asks for advice. Nina is constantly fighting with her boyfriend, and Autumn never asks questions. I get respecting privacy, but maybe ask if your best friend is okay???
There's so much more I want to talk about this book, but I feel like the point has been given. Would I recommend this? Only if the author sends it to an editor and makes changes first. The idea is there. It just needs a LOT of editing.

Heartwarming, entertaining and jealousy evoking romantic comedy... where's my Elijah?! Perfection in a book.

Ms Perfectly Fine had a great story line and character depth. I enjoyed reading about Ethan and Autumn. Kate did a great job conveying what it might be like to live with chronic pain. Autumn is a child piano prodigy and after an accident if left with chronic pain and walls she has built to protect herself from the pity others feel when they find out about her accident. Here comes Ethan...he knows there's more to Autumn then being an amazing pianist and beautiful. He makes it his goal to earn her trust, and he does just that. He draws Autumn out of her comfort zone. While Ethan and Autumns relationship progresses, there's danger jeopardizing Autumn's upcoming return solo. Ethan and Autumn's relationship is fun and progresses well throughout the story. This is a slow burn with no real fireworks before 50%. A good quick suspense/romance.

This book overall was an easy read , both characters backs stories were interesting . A good book for a quick read.

Love this book!received an e-book arc from the publishers and netgalley, however I am writing this willingly! :)
Holy fucking shit. This was everything, excuse me??? I loved this book and how absolutely whipped the main male character was. I think the chronic pain rep was written extremely well. This is the 2nd book I have read with chronic pain in it and I loved how it was depicted in the book. Even though I myself don't have chronic pain, I felt like I got a huge understanding of what people go through and how it can really take a toll on someone's life. The banter and humor in this was spectacular. BRINKLEY. My favorite dog ever. She's my favorite. <3 Also, the suspenseful side of this story?? LOVED ITT. I did guess one of the plot twists but the other ones? My jaw physically dropped, like no joke. I was crying lmfaoooo. Anyways, this was overall a great book and I think that Kate Callaghan should write more romantic suspense novels!! Here's one of my fave lines from this book!!

This was a super good book. At first I thought it was just a romance, but as I was reading I realized that it was a romantic suspense novel which, in my opinion, made it so much better.
I loved seeing the representation for chronic pain, I don’t see that very often to begin with and it’s never in romance books that I’ve seen. I feel like some of the parts were rushed, especially towards the end, but the romance itself was a very good forced proximity romance.
Thank you to NetGalley and CallaghanWriter for an eARC of this book.

Not sure if this book was perfectly fine but it was fine.
Autumn is a pianist working on her big comeback to the stage after a tragic accident ten years earlier. She is very private and she likes her routines but one day she wakes up to a noise as some dude is putting her stuff into a storage and moving in.
So uhm if someone moved in to my place without asking, started stealing my food from the fridge and then brought in a dog, there would be no chance in hell for us to become friends. I don’t care about your abs, it’s my space and my stuff, go away!
However as we know, romance novels are not about real life. They are fairy tales for big girls and we don’t care about plot holes, ridiculous details or unreasonable behavior because the hea will follow no matter what.
The mystery was a bit of an overkill but I prefer that over third act breakup, so it’s okay.
I didn’t have high hopes since everyone rated this book three stars, and I have to say I agree with the crowd this time; this book was cute but I will probably forget about it tomorrow.
Thank you Kate Callaghan and NetGalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Autumn is a piano prodigy set to make her big come back following a tragic accident in her youth. She's focussed on her routines, resilient and private, living alone with chronic pain.
Elijah is the secret son of Tim, Autumn's landlord, who moves into her home while he works on developing a much anticipated video game, which he hopes will land him his biggest business deal to date.
Autumn immediately clashes with Elijah as her need to maintain her privacy runs deeper than hiding her pain and sticking to her rigid routines...
Elijah however takes an instant liking to Autumn's fiery temperament and finds himself working hard to gain her trust and get closer to the woman he's sharing a roof with.
However, for the last 3 years Autumn has been receiving roses from a mystery sender and the harassment only increases and becomes more dangerous once Elijah moves in.

The premise of this story was really great, I enjoyed the characters and the concept immensely but it didn't quite hit the mark for me.
Autumn was exactly who I would expect someone who had experienced her trauma to be but she was probably the only perfectly curated part of this story.
Elijah fell for Autumn in what seemed like a matter of days, her physio blabbed personal information about Autumn moments after asserting it was confidential, her landlord literally rented half her house out without telling her and her best friend turned out to be a career obsessed psycho. Just a handful of things I couldn't quite get behind unfortunately.
I loved the idea of having this stalking situation going on along side the budding romance but I needed more from it. It seemed to be quite low-key until the last 20% of the book when it rather suddenly came to a head and felt a bit rushed.
It was difficult to believe Nina would throw away everything she had worked towards the way that she did or waste years of her life pretending to be Autumn's best friend.
I only wish Heather's character was utilized more, while it was obvious who she really was pretty early on (from a few comments she made) it would have been great to have explored some darkness from her past resulting from what happened to her sister. But instead we got Nina and it fell a little flat for me.
Buying someone a house after 5 weeks also felt like a bit of a red flag rather than sweet romantic gesture! I'd have liked certain aspects of Elijah and Autumn's relationship dialed back a little...
I will say this book has definitely given me more of an interest in romance/suspense, the combination reminding me of Tessa Bailey's My Killer Vacation but it was a middle of the road 3 stars from me.

Tying everything together nicely, Ms Perfectly Fine by Kate Callaghan shows readers the strength needed to push through a life filled with grief and pain after a traumatic life-changing event.
Summary: Autumn Adler is a child prodigy who was met with an accident on stage 10 years ago, causing her to lose her best friend and to have scars and chronic pain for the years following that. Elijah Wells moves to her house (a little more like invading it), and they get off on the wrong footing (mainly on Autumn's side). But his personality shone, and they started getting along.
Tropes/Genres:
• strangers to enemies to lovers
• forced proximity
• housemates
• musical setting
• contemporary romance
Review: This is so good! Everything tied together nicely. The foreshadowing is great, and the red herring is even better. The characters are awesome. Autumn Adler and Elijah Wells had such great chemistry! I loved their banter. They're so wild. Elijah just has so many green flags. You can't help but love that guy for Autumn. He also always says the right things that just make you SWOON.
I really admire Autumn’s bravery and courage to keep going and strive to achieve what she wants – what’s meant for her. She worked hard to prove herself to be able to get on stage and perform for the people and fans who believed in her. For 10 years, she had to experience pain and constantly visit a therapist for her physical and mental well-being. It's tough losing her closest friend, but she pulled through. I admire her for that.
As I said earlier, the foreshadowing and red herring were done well. It got me suspecting one person, and then OH! There’s another suspect too! I really liked how it’s done. It was so well thought out. The little clues dropped in the book, making me raise eyebrows – those were good.
I recommend this book to readers who love a good enemies-to-lovers love story between housemates that were forced under one roof, starring a strong female lead who may be a bit stubborn but has every good reason for that. If you like a musical setting, here’s the book for you too!

Whether you have emotional scars, physical ones, or both, You are Worthy of being Loved.
~Book dedication🖤
What will you do when a handsome and sexy guy with a charming smile 😍💕🔥 intruded on your house without any information, that's what happened with Autumn. She wanted to live alone and hide the demons that hunt her for years but Elijah had other plans for them💕😍😍🔥.
Tropes🤌🏻:
📍Force proximity
📍sexual tension
📍suspense
📍risqué banter
📍enemies to lovers
Autumn had a very rough past she just wanted to be left alone and play the piano but on the other hand, Elijhah the CEO of a gaming company and a charmer just wanted her🔥🤌🏻😍.
And He has a dog 😍😍 that cute thing has my heart💘.
And I like the way they address each other to her (mom and dad )😍🤌🏻.
And there is this famous line if you know you know LYHFM 🥵🤌🏻😍 (I was literally screaming silent screaming though😂).
But in the end, the suspense was really, I wasn't expecting I literally loved that turning point!

This one was perfectly fine. The characters were fine, nothing special, and I didn't find myself connecting with them a ton. The conflict was also very predictable and I guessed what was going to happen as soon as we met that character. Overall it was ok, just nothing I connected with or will remember.

I thought this was a very enjoyable read - glancing at the other reviews, I can see and understand why some gave this 3 stars and others gave it 4 stars. The idea is great and I enjoyed the characters and their backstories.
There was a little more tell-not-show than I would have preferred, but overall enjoyed how the characters slowly transitioned from hatred to tolerance/friendly (?) to attraction. I did feel like they skipped straight into "love", it came a little quickly and I wondered if I missed something, but it was cute enough.
I gave this book 4 stars because it was interesting enough to read in a day, and I enjoyed the chronic pain rep/Autumn's journey.
thank you Netgalley for the free ARC

This book was exactly as the title says, perfectly fine, but it was not much more than that.
Ms Perfectly Fine by Kata Callaghan is a split-POV, romantic suspense novel following Autumn, a concert pianist returning to the spotlight following a tragic accident, and Elijah, a video game designer with daddy issues. The book starts out with Elijah moving into the house Autumn rents without her knowledge and things kind of progress from there. The first part of the book is pretty much your typical forced-proximity romance, but things kind of take a turn once the stalker element kicks into gear.
One of the things I tend to dislike about romances is that often the climax of a romance centers around some play on the miscommunication trope; however, in this book, that was definitely not the case, which I did appreciate. There is so much that happens in this book, and though the plot line itself is relatively solid, I thought the characters and writing were lacking something.

Thank you to Netgalley and Kate Callaghan for the gifted ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I received an early ARC of Ms Perfectly Fine by Kate Callaghan! This version I read was not the ultimate final version and so my review will reflect the version I read.
Piano prodigy, Autumn is surprised one morning by a random man moving into the front room of her rented house. Elijah, this random man, is a game developer who is temporarily moving in while he wraps up some business deals.
Immediately, Autumn and Elijah don’t get along. Autumn is unhappy that her space has been invaded and Elijah meets her frustrations with his own negative energy. As they learn to live with each other though, they tentatively form a truce, and more? While they figure out what could be next for their relationship they also must deal with a stalker that Autumn has and that may strike before her solo performance coming up.
I really enjoyed this. Ms Perfectly Fine is described as a story that Callaghan has wanted to write for a while and I think that love shows in the story. Some of the transitions between scenes and moments felt really abrupt or just didn’t work well but I thought the plot line worked and provided the suspense I was looking for! I’m a sucker for an enemies-to-lovers trope and Elijah and Autumn’s journey reflected a good portrayal of that!
I haven’t read anything else by Callaghan but I think the story was ultimately a good one even though it had its weak points. If you enjoy romantic suspense I highly recommend!

My Review:
I have to admit, I found this book a bit hard to get into at first, but in the end I did enjoy it. I loved that it was a combination of love, mystery, comedy, passion, suspense, while also highlighting serious topics like: the struggle to work through trauma and the challenges of dealing with chronic pain. I loved the banter between Autumn and Elijah. As a fan or romance and thrillers, this book was a pleasant surprise by combining two of my favorite genres. I do my best not to spoil but the end was not what I expected.
Thank you netgalley and Kate Callaghan for allowing me to read this ARC.

This was adorable. I loved the banter between the main characters. I do wish the thriller/mystery elements were q bit twistier and stringer, but overall I enjoyed it.

We're introduced to the cause of the main character's physical and mental pain from the very first chapter. Autumn is strong but guarded, especially against strangers, so it makes sense that her first interaction with Elijah does not go well. We can see that Elijah finds her interesting from the very beginning though.
I liked the banter and teasing between the two of them in the beginning. It was funny and it brought out their personalities, and it also showed the physical attraction that both felt early on. Elijah comes off as playful but patient, willing to take things at her own pace.
The whole "I love her." part threw me off; he's known her for less than a month, and most of that time was spent apart from each other. When exactly did he find the time to fall in love? It went from insta-attraction to love so fast I got whiplash.
The stalker situation was hinted at throughout the book, but we don't get anything solid until about a third of the way through. It's not too obvious who the stalker is, but there are parts that are meant to distract you from finding out too soon who it is.
All in all, it was a nice enough read. It kept my attention until the end, if only to see what would happen with the stalker situation. It had interesting characters, insta-love, some suspense, and great representation for chronic pain. If you like reading about any of those subjects, then this would be the perfect book for you.
