The pen is mightier than the sword, so it’s said. In Unhackable Soul, Maureen Sharphouse attempts to help those who suffer from chronic pain, mainly with words and thoughts, inviting the reader to change their thoughts to change their feelings, some would call it positive thinking or visualisation or indeed the Universal law of attraction.

Maureen herself suffers from an incurable progressive neurological illness and knows only too well the true meaning of pain, but still she manages to look at the brighter side of life using her own methods, which include all of the above, and she is keen to share them with the reader to enable them to also live a good and happy life regardless of their chronic pain.

Personally I am not good with visualisation, but I can imagine that it really helps those who can manage it. There are a lot of inspirational quotes within the book, that are very helpful , and as it is Maureen’s wish to inspire others it’s a case of job done!

Great book by Maureen. I don’t like with a chronic illness but it was eye opening to learn about what someone with a chronic illness goes through. I really enjoyed learning about the spiritual strategies. I’ve learned something’s that can help me with the anxiety I struggle with.

One of my favorite quote from the book was “keep things simple: Do nothing now, nothing much changes. Crafting a brighter future comes down to you”.

10/10 would recommend this book!

Thank you Maureen, Unhackable press and NetGalley for the ARC!
