This was a lovely easy read and I absolutely flew through it. It was so nice to be back in Jess and River’s world from The Soulmate Equation again.

I loved the element of fangirls and fandoms especially when they went to the concert together. For someone who has been a part of fandoms my whole life and for whom live music is so much a part of me, I really appreciated this inclusion. I also really liked the defence of society’s opinions on romance books. I think it’s necessary to address since Fizzy is a romance author. I liked the points it was mentioned without it being a main theme.

I did somewhat predict the ending but I mean, it’s a romance book, there’s only so many ways it can go, so I was fine with that. I also loved the archetypes additions for the show & Connor being very confused at the start.

I wish I hadn’t waited so long to read this but I’m glad I’ve read it now. A great read.

Like the other works of this duo, it's filled with classic rom-com humour but there was nothing happening... it doesn’t quite reach the same of their standout works. A read for the beach, it's easy doesn't require too much concentration but not my top pick from this pair.

True Love Experiment should work as a concept but it doesn't. I think it's because the two main characters are equally unlikeable.

Cuuuuuute. You really don't need to know too much about this except you need to read it. I loved the True Love Experiment. It has levity thanks to a mix of sweet, hilarious, heartwarming, and heartbreaking moments that put you right in the shoes of these characters. Is it predictable? Yes. But it's also a feel-good read that will have you grinning like crazy. One to add to the TBR for when you need something light.

Such a good holiday read. Light and fairly low stakes. Enjoyable characters, and a fun reality tv back drop. I really liked this one!

I dont know why it took me so long to pick up this books. It was absolutely fantastic! I haven't read the first one but you don't have too, and still enjoyed it a lot. I went in blind not really knowing much about the plot and I think that made it even better.

A love story to love stories! I loved the Soulmate Equation so was so excited for Fizzy's story. I'll read anything Christina Lauren put out - such a strong writing duo!

I absolutely loved book one but this one really didn't hit the mark for me. I couldn't warm to Fizzy which unfortunately meant the story didn't hold my interest

The True Love Experiment is kind of a sequel to The Soulmate Experiment focusing on Jess’s best friend and romance author Fizzy. Fizzy has been in a bit of a mental block with her writing and also her love life. When Connor, a tv producer, approaches her asking to be the star in a new reality show, Fizzy thinks this could be what breaks her dry spell. But when Connor and Fizzy get a bit too close, it could ruin the whole show.

I really enjoyed this one! With Christina Lauren books I can always rely on them to give me a cute and fun romance novel especially if I’m not feeling 100% myself. I do think at times that Fizzy’s character came across a little young but nevertheless I really enjoyed this! I liked the dynamic between Fizzy and the side characters and her and Connor’s relationship/friendship was a given as soon as the two met.

Can’t wait to read the author duo’s next novel releasing later this year

Really enjoyed this book. It was really easy to read and the storyline was simple enough to always remember what’s happening if life gets busy and the book is put down for a few days. I did find it got a bit boring during the middle but I pushed through and loved it.

This was such a heart warming story. Kept me hooked from start to finish. Both the male and female leads were lovable and so well written. I had a smile on my face for the majority of the story and would recommend it to everyone looking for some joy!

It is impossible for me to rate a Christina Lauren book lower than 5 stars, they write only masterpieces and I am kicking my feet and giggling at this book

This is a cute little book.

Fizzy and Connor are just swoony, they are just meant to be. It was a joy to watch them all fall in love.

I really enjoyed reading until the end as it felt a bit abrupt. It was really a happily ever after but if we had got to the point where they were together and happy before the last few pages that would have been more enjoyable.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this one✨✨

I really enjoyed this one and love Fizzy as a main character! I'm so glad she got her time to shine in this one!

The tension, chemistry and just banter between fizzy and Connor was perfect and even had me swooning!

Christina Lauren write such amazing, fun and heart-warming romances that I cannot help but escape to.

I definitely recommend this one!
Whilst this is a standalone I do recommend reading The Soulmate Equation as it's referenced throughout!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this, I loved seeing more of Fizzy from The Soulmate Equation and I loved the whole dating reality show concept for the story too.

Any book that does a reality show BTS type storyline, I’m all in! Especially when it’s the contestant falls for the production person, I just love that and wonder how often that must happen IRL. Remember that happened to Whitney Port filming The City?

Fizzy and Conner were super cute and I absolutely flew through the story!

For me The Soulmate Equation was definitely my favourite out of these 2 companion books but this was so sweet too and I really recommend it if your looking for some more Christina Lauren in your life, they have never failed me yet in any of their books I’ve read!

From the blurb -

Felicity 'Fizzy' Chen is lost. Sure, she has an incredible career as a beloved romance novelist with numerous bestsellers to her name, but when she's asked to give a commencement address, it hits her: she hasn't been practising what she's preached.

She hasn't been in love. In lust? Sure. But that swoon-worthy, can't-stop-thinking-about-him, all-encompassing feeling? Nope. And suddenly the optimism she's encouraged in her readers starts to feel like a lie.

Connor Prince, documentary filmmaker and single father, loves that his work allows him to live near his daughter. Then his profit-minded boss orders him to create a reality TV show, putting it all in jeopardy. Desperate to find his romantic lead, a chance run-in with an exasperated Fizzy offers Connor the perfect solution. What if he could show the queen of romance herself falling head-over-heels? But when production on The True Love Experiment begins, Connor wonders if that perfect match will ever be in the cue cards for him too.

A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.

I loved Fizzy in The Soulmate Equation, so I was absolutely delighted when Christina Lauren replied to my Tweet that we were getting her very own book. She was a fantastic main character, just as vibrant as in TSE. Maybe even moreso. as we spent more time with her.

I also really liked Connor as a hero, he was a great father to Stevie and the chemistry between Connor and Fizzy was electric. However, the third act break up is this time, one I can get behind. Infidelity is not something I enjoy reading in books, and I thought Fizzy's reaction was appropriate.

I also loved seeing some of Fizzy's culture, in the form of a family wedding. I always enjoy seeing Asian culture and traditions in books.

I really enjoyed this overall. It was definitely a return to form for CLo for me.

Great that this features characters from the authors other works (you don’t need to have read these)! Another brilliant feel good romance! Christina Lauren is a brilliant author!

Loved the relationship and banter! Didn't realise this tied into one of Christina Lauren's other books, so would be interested to go read that after this one!
