Being from an Irish catholic family this book was like slipping into a warm bath. It's a story of forgiveness, faith, living your best life and trying to find the best in everyone and every situation - and speaking to God as your constant companion. I'm sure it could also be read as a gentle feel-good book without delving too deeply into the religious aspects and I'm equally sure that it will give a huge amount of enjoyment to an awful lot of people.

The Sisters of Saint Philomena are back to tell another lovely, feel-good story. If you’re looking for a dynamic, on the edge of your seat read, this is not it. What you will find if you pick up this book however is a very cosy, comforting story. I predicted the end to each sub plot - as I’m sure you will - but this doesn’t matter. It’s a tale of kindness and community and a gentle, thoughtful read.

The second book in this series about the Sisters of St Philomena and it was lovely to meet the sisters again - Bridget, Margaret and Cecilia - and their supporting cast.
This time the action centres around the Christmas festivities and the unexpected arrival of JJ and Peter - their arrival and events back home in Ireland make Bridget reassess past events and look to make amends for past decisions.
All about love, forgiveness and acceptance this was a lovely read - heartwarming, gently amusing and charming.
The series is to be recommended.

What an absolute blessing to reunite with the sisters of St Philomenas. Funny and heartwarming read and great t9 catch up in the lives of the sisters and their families.
Very well written funny and very heartwarming in places just the book to curl up with with a cuppa a no a few hours to lose yourself.
Hope there will be further installments from the sisters, looking forward to a return visit.
