I read this novel a few years ago and had loved it. When I saw it on NetGalley though, I couldn't resist requesting it. And again I was completely immersed in the families' lives of Kingsbridge. Some had gone abroad, some came back.... I enjoy Ken Follett's novels because their characters are though not complicated, are still relatable and accurately reflect what it was like to live in a town at these historical times. Even though the novel is long (over 900 pages), I never was bored either with the characters ' lives nor with the many details as regards history. It remains entertaining up to the end. Highly recommend!
I received a complimentary copy of this novel from NetGalley and I am leaving voluntarily an honest review.
