It took me a long while to get into this book. I just couldn’t connect with the characters nor the story.
This was only my second book by the author, the first time being Josh and Gemma make a baby. It was an okay read.
I’m starting to wonder if this author maybe isn’t for me.
I can’t really put a finger on why I didn’t completely like the space between, but it was just slow and awkward, and I felt the dialogue was forced and the characters had no personality.

Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to listen to the audiobook early.

Really enjoyed the audio book of the space between. The narratior keeps the story interesting and I found myself becoming lost in this beautiful story. If you like music and human connections pick this up.

I loved this book so much and it took me through so many emotions. When a book can make you cry you know you were invested into the characters!

I loved this book! What a great story! True love wins again.
I enjoyed the journey of seeing Andrea and Jace as young to adults. The saga of finding yourself before you can be with the one.

My first read by Sarah Ready but not my last! Thank you for the opportunity!

Sarah Ready has only gone and done it again. This novel send me on a rollercoaster of emotions. Be prepared to get your heart broken not just once. Yet it is so heartwarming and sweet. Perfect read if you want something light but not too light.

The characters are so well developed. I could not help but love all of them and feel for all of them. The twists in this sometimes catch you by surprise sometimes they are a tiny bit predictable but I did not mind that.
This book definitely will be in my favourites of the year. And a little bit of instalove although not my favourite trope but when it’s done so well - never hurt.

As I was physically reading it and in between switching to the audiobook I would also like to mention how amazing the narration of this was. I usually am not massively into audiobooks and struggle listening to them and keeping my attention on the book and not just have it on as background noise but I must say this was narrated so well that I could easily jump between ebook and audiobook.

This is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and definitely one of my favourite books this year.

The absolute BEST BOOK I HAVE READ THIS YEAR! It has everything a best seller needs. Romance, conflict, tragedy, Love, adventure!
I do not want to say too much to give it away. Quickly! Get this book! Preorder, reserve, whatever you need to do! Don’t miss out!
The audiobook was a solid performance. Captivating and well spoken the narrator did an amazing job. Great choice of voice to bring this story to life.

Omg my heart can't take it 😭
This was my first book by Sarah and what a book it was. Jace and Andi's story was so beautifully heartbreaking. Full of twists I didn't expect that had my jaw hitting the floor along with some really sweet and tender moments that made me smile. I've been on such a rollercoaster with this story. The story is dual narration and split into 3 sections. I really enjoyed how this story was set out. It flowed really well and I liked that we got small sections from each character along with big chunks from them too. It really got me invested in the story. A great cast of characters which felt real and authentic. The story was a beautiful love story and after finishing I wanted to immediately pick it back up and go again.
I listened to the audio along side reading and I loved the narration. I have not listened to anything by these 2 narrators before and they did a great job with the characterisation of Jace and Andi. I won't hesitate to pick up an audio with these 2 in the future.
The Space Between is a great read/listen and I really can't wait to read more by this author.

This YA story is a tale of two very different people falling in love and supporting each other. However, fate and circumstances do separate them.
The story is narrated from Andreas and Jace viewpoint and the two narrators have pleasant voices.
However, the plot did not come together for me and I had a hard time finishing the book.

For Jace it was love at first sight when he spotted Andy across the park while playing with his band. Andy immediately falls for Jace too, but her family will never be willing to accept their relationship. When she leaves behind her life of luxury and wealth to go on tour with Jaces band, things are perfect…until they aren’t, and Andy leaves Jace behind. What happens in the space between when he was there and when he wasn’t?

Wow! This book was so much more than I was expecting! This book broke my heart just to put it back together just to do it all over again. I loved Andi, Jace and Reid so much. The audiobook was long, but I honestly enjoyed every second. I’ve already bought my next Sarah Ready book!

Both narrators were very enjoyable to listen to!

Thank you @sarahreadyauthor, @netgalley and @wwcrownpublishing for the opportunity to read this lovely book!

The Space Between is on my shortlist for my favorite book this year. This will make you feel every emotion during your journey.

Andrea and Jace are from completely opposite sides of the social spectrum. Jace is from the South Bronx and Andrea is from a rich elite part of Manhattan. Both of them had a rough life in their own way and they brought out the best in each other.

This is not only a love story, it's a story about life and how every action has a reaction. Both Andrea and Jace would not be where they are if a certain event did not push them in that direction. I'm not ashamed to say I cried more than once during this story.

This book will hit all of your emotions hard. You will smile, laugh, and cry. You also will love every minute of it. This is a book you won’t want to miss.

It’s been a while since I found a romance novel that I swear made me fall in love right along with the characters. This book is that book! My heart is so full right now! I am literally that emoji with hearts coming out of its eyes.

I loved everything about this book and the narrators did an amazing job! This book is a romance reader’s dream!

I absolutely LOVED this book. The narrator's were great but this story. The twist. My word. I was in a chokehold.

It makes me feel good when true love wins.

Thank you for the opportunity!

Definitely needs trigger warnings. There are so many triggering events in this book. I felt the cover & description were deceiving. I did stick with it and was glad on how it ended. It felt like this could have been two completely different novels though. It was a bit much.

This is my second book by Sarah Ready (French Holiday) and I didn't even realize it until I came here to write this review. I shouldn't be surprised that I would love this book because the other was amazing, I'm pretty sure I gave that one 5 stars as well.

The Space Between had me all in my emotions, I'm not crying you are, the book description tells you that it's a roller coaster and it truly is. We have a love story here that is meant to last a lifetime. These two kids from completely different socioeconomic worlds meet on happenstance as Jace is getting the stuffing beat out of him. He was saved by a girl who he knew he was instantly meant to be with. Was there insta-love....kind of yes, but don't be turned off by that because this isn't that kind of story. You have Jace and Andrea, Jace a poor kid who's parents died tragically and raised by his brother and Andrea, the wealthy socialite that is expected to act and present herself in a certain way to maintain her father's image.

The intro of this book goes into all the houses and what they represent and all that fun stuff. That just went straight over my head, and none of that really stuck. There were so, so many characters in this story that it was almost hard to keep track of it all. My brain was trying to figure out the whole who'd the bad guy in the story angle. I kept coming back to the same person and I was right! The story does not make it obvious at all but that was what made the most sense to me. Though the exact extent I would never have figured out. So, we have Gideon who is basically the muscle of Harrow (the necromancer) in this trial to become immortal. Everyone that enters this trial can theoretically become immortal if they can pass the trials. So you have all the houses together with one necromancer and one cavalier (the muscle). I loved Gideon and how much sass she throws around. She is so full of spunk that you can't help but love her. I loved that this story started off with a fight, which gives you an idea of what is to come. There are plenty of pretty gory elements along side all the fighting and death. I mean it is a book surrounding necromancers so that is to be expected. I can't really go into much of this plot because I don't want to spoil it and it is not in the description. Basically it is these two kids over the span of...15-20 years (I lost count) and how their love is connected through all the obstacles that life throws at you. There were very hard choices for the characters to make and I was mentally yelling at Andrea to not give in at one point because.....let us say some obstacles are temporary. There were characters I hated, then didn't hate and empathized with, some that never grew out of the hate box, and a lot of redemptions. There is just so much packed into this story it is so heart wrenching, beautiful, and sweet. I will cross out any previous mentions of a favorite romance of the year and put this at the top of the bracket. It is hands down just *sigh* perfection.

Let us talk audio books. When this review posts, the book will be published, but as of now I can't find a pre-sale of the audiobook, but I'm sure it is out there. You know that I absolutely love when we have narrators for the different POVs. I am thrilled to say that this one has a narrator for both Jace and Andrea. I have not listened to either of their works previously, but they were both very fantastic. They were able to bring the characters to life, and really give that extra element to keep you engaged in an audio book. They gave it even more life.

This is a great romance novel written by an absolutely amazing romance author who has yet to disappoint me. This story will take you all over the place in your emotions, pull on your heart strings, make you angry, happy, sad, and swoon with all the love these character feel for one another. In other words please grab this book, it is worth every minute of your read.

Definitely my favorite book by Sarah Ready! She really dove deep with this one. While I've enjoyed the romcoms I've read this was a superstar! This book made me feel loads of emotions. I was so mad but then I realized I didn't stay mad. It made me feel happy too. The characters were just so well written. It was just a great book! I switched between the kindle version and the audio and just loved both. The narration was my favorite. All of Sarah's audiobooks have been winners in this area! This book comes out July 25th and I can't recommend it enough.

Good story but struggled with the narration. Got into it eventually but probably would prefer ebook.

Well written though

The Space Between
by Sarah Ready
Narrated by James Fouhey & Rachel F. Hirsch

I give The Space Between by Sarah Ready a wholehearted 5 out of 5 Stars. While the story starts off a little slow, it really picks up and you won't be able to put it down. This is a heart wrenching tale of true love, misunderstandings, and all of the other things that pull at your heart. This reminds me of one of my favorite authors, Brittiany Cherry, in terms of The Space Between being an angsty love story that tears at your heart. While Ms. Cherry is definitely for adults, I think that this book is perfectly categorized as a New Adult novel. There isn't any explicitly adult scenes and the writing isn't quite a mature (not saying it's bad, just saying that it isn't written for a mature audience). Overall, I really enjoyed the story and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a New Adult gut-punching, hopeless romance with a HEA.

I thought the that narration was excellent and well-suited to the characters. I really, really enjoyed this one. I don't give many 5 star ratings.

Thank you so much to NetGalley, WW Crown, and Ms. Ready for the chance to listen to and review this ARC!

The Space Between tells an epic story of love, heartbreak and forgiveness spanning years and long distances.

Andi and Jace, from completely opposite backgrounds, meet and fall in love almost instantly. But their path to happiness is far from straight. We get to see them grow and live their lives together and apart.

It’s rare that a book elicits so many emotions out of me. I cried, I almost threw my kindle at the wall, but then I was so happy to see them finally together for good!

There’s so much betrayal in this book that I was honestly impressed by the capacity for forgiveness our characters possessed. My heart could never be this big. The plot twists are jaw dropping and will leave you frustrated, but it’s all worth it.

As much as there is grief and anger, there is so much more love and hope in this story! Love comes in different shapes and forms, and we should welcome it into our lives, because it only makes us richer. Andi and Jace realise that there is so much place for love in their hearts that it doesn’t leave any space for hate or anger, only forgiveness.

MAYBE SPOILER?

I have only one complaint. I would have liked a bit more agency from the MCs at times. It felt a little bit serendipity-ish, and while I don’t expect my romance to be realistic, it still seems implausible that they’d meet like that accidentally again. I wished it was an active decision from at least one of them.

MAYBE SPOILER END

The audiobook was a great listen, the narrators conveyed every emotion perfectly and made the experience so much better!

I received an advance copy from NetGalley, and this is my honest review.

First things first, I cried at work listening to this. I read French Holiday by Sarah Ready earlier in the year and it was silly, lighthearted, and funny. This was none of those things and I freaking love it for it.

Andrea is NYC elite and hates how shallow and cruel everything is. She meets Jace in the park after he's been jumped by rich kids from school. He's an extremely talented musician who is just getting by and she's charmed by the genuine connection they have. They fall into love over the next few months and it was nice to see how hard they were trying. After some machinations against them, they spend the next 8 years without word from the other. She goes back to NYC society and he makes it big as a musician.

*Now, this part is complete spoilers so proceed with caution*

But holy crap I was not expecting Reid to be my favorite part of this book. He's arrogant and smarmy in the beginning but the growth he goes through in the book was stunning. Their wedding night cracked me up and I was grinning at their friendship as they moved through life together. The gentle love he showed her with absolutely no expectation of getting love in return hurt me deeply. I cried as his storyline was wrapping up.

*spoilers over*

After all of that, she finds Jace again exactly when she's supposed to and it was lovely. There wasn't any bitterness for the time that passed or their circumstances, just gratitude. And I'm grateful I got to read it.

The narration was excellent but I wish very much that Reid had his own voice.

Thank you to Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.
