I really liked this book because it was different from what I usually read. Most of the books I read are serious, but this one was light and enjoyable. I loved the story because it's set in a beautiful seaside town, and I could imagine everything so clearly. The best part was when the main character fell in love with her neighbor's grandson. There was some drama because she used to like someone else who didn't treat her well, but now she likes the neighbor's son, which seems better. I enjoyed learning about the town's activities and felt like I was there with the characters. The author did a great job making the story come alive. I'm excited to read more books by them. Thank you Georgina Troy, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for the ARC and the opportunity to share my thoughts about it.

"Sunny Days on the Boardwalk" follows Jools Jones in her island town, managing daily life and a long-distance relationship with Finn. The picturesque setting and charming elderly characters add to the appeal, while Jools' likable nature earns readers' support. However, the novel falls short in character depth, with love interests feeling flat and lacking tension. The delayed introduction of conflict and its low stakes disappoint, resolving too easily. Despite these drawbacks, the book provides a pleasant afternoon read with a satisfying happy ending for the main characters. While not leaving a lasting impression, "Sunny Days on the Boardwalk" offers a feel-good escape into an idyllic seaside setting.

Another lovely visit to golden sands bay and the broadwalk series. It's spring and we get to know the story of Jools. Who is living with her fabulous grandmother and trying to find her confidence with pop ups from her friends Lexi, Bella and Sacha. There are also some new characters and it's nice easy read.

Another wonderful visit to the Boardwalk series - this time it’s Spring and we get to know and appreciate more about Jools, the artist. Living with her fabulous grandmother, Jools is learning to have confidence in herself and her own abilities whilst still being the ever supportive friend to Lexi, Bella and Sacha. It was lovely meeting up with the old friends again, and the introduction of Marius and Alan was a great addition to the cast. A heartwarming story to wrap you up in a hug.

This is a sweet and cozy romance read. The characters are very likeable and the story takes place in a beautiful setting. An entertaining light summer read. The book is part of the Boardwalk by the Sea series, but can be read as a stand alone.

I got this arc in exchange for an honest review.

This time on the boardwalk the main character is Jools who is an artist but also helps to run the bookshop with her gran.
Jools is at the start of a relationship with Finn when he takes off on a pre arranged trip leaving Jools pretty miffed and wondering if they are meant to be together when she meets a fellow artist Marius who works with glass. As they become closer Jools starts to want more so has to decide who does she want to be with ?
Another nice easy trip to the boardwalk

What a beautiful story! Set on the Boardwalk, this story is a great feel-good and easy read. It follows the life of Jools and it’s lovely to see her character develop. Set around her Gran’s bookshop and the rest of the local community, we see relationships and friendships blossom.

I would highly recommend this book!

Jools is keeping busy with her art and helping her grandmother in the bookshop while her boyfriend is off traveling. A beautiful setting and some great characters make for a light summer read.

Having read all of the previous books in the series, I found this one to be the one I connected with the least. Sunny Days on the Boardwalk, like the others is a very lighthearted, easy to read small seaside village romance novel. I think you could read it independently but it would definitely make much more sense to understand the characters relationships if you read the full series. I found Jools and Marius a little wooden and lacked a sense of any real spark with no moments of strong emotional connection.

Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.

Another beautiful book by Georgina Troy in a gorgeous set in a seaside town.

Jools is a very a talented artist, but she finds herself unsure of what to do. She’s in a long-distance relationship with Finn, and another glass artist Marius, who’s arrived in town..

Jools, tries to find a book for a member of the community Alan, and thinks about what she wants to do, she has to make a decision, one that could change her life.

The story was about romance, new beginnings and finding yourself.

I recommend this book.

This is an enjoyable and cosy read with some good characters and a nice story. Easy to read and not too long I Ioved the setting but the story was a bit disjointed fro me.

Jools I liked and Finn I liked but together I didn't like them. The story overall was good, the relationship I wasn't sure about but I thought Jools' grandmother was adorable. So all in all a good book, fun to read and easy and flowing which I liked. And it did take me away on a little holiday by the seaside too.

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.

Sunny Days at the Boardwalk

An ok read…….

Jools Jones is an artist who fills her days painting, helping her grandma run their secondhand bookstore, and spending time with her friends.

Her budding relationship with Finn is put on hold when he leaves for several months to travel. She’s ok with waiting for him to come back until she meets Marius, and he leaves her questioning who is the better choice.

When I requested this title on Net Galley to review, I didn’t realize that it was a stand alone in a series. While I enjoyed the plot of the story, I don’t think I’ll be reading the others.

I enjoyed the plot of the story. It flowed well and there were a few unexpected surprises along the way. I love Jools’ grandmother, she was my favorite character, she’s sassy and outspoken.

I had a difficult time with the dialogue, it was often too formal and not very conversational. There were many times that I thought to myself, “no one would ever say this.”

As I read and tried to get a feel for Jools, the pieces didn’t fit well for me, there seemed to be a lot of contradictions in her personality. They weren’t so bad that they made me dislike her, she just fell flat for me. I felt like Jools never genuinely cared enough about the things that were happening around her.

The choice between Marius and Finn is clear from the beginning of the story, there isn’t ever any doubt who Jools should choose.

Sunny Days at the Boardwalk was a fast read that left me underwhelmed, but my 89-year-old grandma would probably love it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
