The second book in a series, Bob has the ability to time travel - but his science project falls short of his rival Emo's amazing trousers. Bob can't control his time travelling or his science experiments - but when he finds out in the future everyone is ruled by AI the fun really starts!

This is a very funny book and someone needs to invent these trousers please!! Dads terrible jokes are so bad they are laugh out loud funny. I read this with my son who has requested the next book by Andy Jones ASAP. I would recommend to all kids that love reading

This is a great book 2 in the Bob vs serious and I actually enjoyed it more than the first one. Love the fact that Bob, Gloria and Malc are such great friends and feels like a real friendship with all the joking and ribbing each other. This one had me laughing out loud during most of the chapters and I liked that Eno was still one of the main "villains" of the story. Ideal for anyone who loves laugh out loud with a bit of time travel and farting thrown in! I also found it amusing with the aromavirus, lockdowns and mask wearing - great nod to the covid 19 pandemic. And also the commentary about smart devices left me with lots to think about - who knows if in the future all those conversations they have listened in on will have been saved up to use?!
Brilliant , humorous and I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to see what Bob next time travelling adventure is (even though the time travelling bit blows my mind - well done Andy Jones for planning it all out!)

In a remarkably timely imagining (as far as the "possibilities" aka dangers of AI are concerned at least - the smart actual trousers not so much!), Bob and the Trousers of Doom explores - among other things - the dangers of overly smart technology.

Bob is an accidental time traveller, who lives with his sole parent, a loving but eccentric father, after the loss of his mother. One of the rare serious elements in the book is Bob's fear of eventually travelling so far ahead (he only travels forward, for some reason) in time that he discovers that his father is no longer alive. Lucky, that is not the case with this particular adventure.

Most middle schoolers will probably enjoy the chaotic misadventures that result from Bob's inadvertent time travel. But be warned, if any reader's sense of humour leans towards the more subtle, this book is definitely of the "farts are the funniest" school of thought...
