Another brilliant read from a truly fantastic author. This one has delivered on every level and been completely unputdownable.

This is full of twists, revenge and humour. I have devoured this one in just one sitting. This is the ending of what has been a phenomenal series.

Each instalment unique and intriguing. It’s definitely been a ride that I’ll miss. This will read as a standalone, but I highly recommend the series.

Patsy is a brilliant character. A definite larger than life individual and this has been the perfect ending for her.

I am a huge fan of Gillian Godden and I absolutely cannot wait to see what is coming next.

This is the fourth in the diamond series and a most enjoyable journey it has been.
All of the characters come to be familiar as they are described and all through the series we have learned of Patsy Diamond a rough tough lady and her life. She's a tough cookie and runs her own gangland crew.

This book and the previous three are brilliant thrillers with twists and turns to keep the reader interested.

I suggest reading the first three before this one as you won't understand the characters and how they have come to be in Patsy's life.
All in all a damn good read.

What a brilliant read!
Patsy is still carrying on where Nick left off, so there's plenty of crime, violence, and skullduggery
However, this book had a bug touch of romance, which kept me in suspense, and i couldn't put it down for wanting to know how it would end.

I was unaware that this was part of a series of books so I couldn’t get to grips with the back story.I will however go and start the series at the beginning so I can actually enjoy the story in its entirety!

What a great series this has been! Gillian Godden has written a book that I,yet again, I thoroughly enjoyed.

She has created fabulous characters. Patsy is a woman who has managed to lay the ghost of her husband to rest and, with the help of everyone around her, is running her businesses successfully.

She is definitely a larger than life character who has the guts and gumption needed in the world she lives. Patsy won't easily be forgotten by me. Gillian Godden has successfully brought this series to a conclusion, and boy, hasn't she put Patsy through the mill! There is no easy way out here for sure.

Gritty gangland by Gillian Godden is exactly that. Vivid characters and setting that make the reader feel like they are right there, experiencing the violence and the action with them all! I had points in the story in which I felt like I needed a cushion to hide behind! That is always a great moment for me. It's proof the author is affecting me with their writing. Makes a book so worthwhile.

I will miss the Diamonds thats for sure, and all I can say is that Gillian Godden, I am looking forward to your next book/series (delete as appropriate!!). A page turning series that I highly recommend if you love gangland crime. Thanks to Rachel's Random Resources, NetGalley and Boldwood Books.

Where to start with Forever Diamond? There is so much to devour within these pages that it’s hard to talk about which bit first! That old Cliché, “a real page turner” is absolutely spot on for this gritty gangland crime thriller. The characters are created with a depth that makes them highly realistic people. You can believe in them wholly. I loved the humour between the feisty Patsy and her right hand woman. they make for a good chuckle in between the brutality of murder in its most horrific form. Patsy certainly gets herself into some scrapes and then she meets the dashing Phillipe, is he a good idea? Should he just be a quick holiday fling then back to reality? The only trouble is Patsy can not get him out of her mind. Cue the fly in the ointment, the dreadful Larry who will use anything to marry Patsy. He really is a piece of work!

A remarkable series that will not let you down. It has all the facets that makes a great read. Laughter, hatred, murder, crime, love, lust and good old pub shoot outs. It really does have it all. Totally gripping from the start. I defy you to put this book down once you’ve started it is impossible to stop reading. A terrifically well crafted book that does not disappoint.

This isn't a genre I read but I really liked this. This is a dark, gangland thriller that isn't for the faint hearted. It is full of twists and turns, a roller-coaster of revenge, danger and betrayal - Who can Patsy trust?
On the flip side the friendships in this novel are beautifully written and demonstrates the unbreakable bonds you can form when you have the right people around you. The two sides of Patsy's life as Gangster and Mother are written perfectly to give the book and Patsy as a character a relatable depth.
I will definitely more books in this series soon.

Several books later in this series and I still love Patsy Diamond. Her character is fab, scary and hilarious all rolled into one. Along with her sidekicks, Sheila & Maggie. What a team they make. They are my favourite trio!!

This book starts off where the last one ended. patsy in trouble at the airport, along with her lawyer boyfriend.

What an ending to this series.

The author tells a gripping, well-paced story and doesn’t let her characters have an easy final outing.

Patsy Diamond has come a long way since the first book, and it’s been interesting seeing her development as she builds her own reputation since taking over her husband Nick’s business.

A great addition to the gangland fiction genre.

I would not recommend reading this book as a standalone, I would read this series in the order they were written in. You won't be disappointed.

Another absolutely brilliant book from Gillian Godden! Strong, feisty, fearless women who refuse to be walked all over this is gangland writing at its best. I have loved reading the story of Patsy Diamond and how she has developed. This did not disappoint and had just enough violence without being too gruesome. Patsy knows that the only people she can truly trust are those in her inner circle. When she gets caught up with a very violent gang in France it is a handsome man on a white stallion who comes to her rescue. But who is he and can she trust him? This is a fast paced, gritty page turner that I read in one day. Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC and of course Gillian Godden who is an author that I highly recommend to anyone who I know loves a good gangland read.

From being a hairdresser, Patsy Diamond has certainly come a long way. After her husband Nick died she finally discovered just what his business was. Since then she has learned the ropes and gradually built up her own reputation. This book shows a more dangerous side to Patsy and she is enjoying it.

Patsy is a brilliant character and her role as a leader of gangs is one that she has nurtured. She is tough but she is a fair boss and treats everyone who works for her very well. It is their loyalty that she will need when her hair salon is absolutely trashed. She is surprised by how much respect she has built up but she is definitely glad of the help when she decides to start a turf war in London and it is from Glasgow that her forces travel.

She also has a business partnership in France, this one is a priority as she is part of a European gang, it is exclusive and while travelling for a meeting she is involved in an accident. It is by chance that a local sees her and drags her to safety.

This is another fabulous story in the Diamond series and it sees the family becoming more involved and the core of her friends getting involved in more serious and life-threatening exchanges. The battles are bloody and not for the faint-hearted, and there are some surprising outcomes.

The story flits from Glasgow, London and Paris with a lot of drama and danger in between. This is a big story and there are some serious players and the author uses them to great effect. I liked the way she kept some things cagey and didn't really let on what was what, but there was the idea there. The thing is as a reader you can never be sure which way an author will go, in my opinion, the author chose some very appropriate routes that made sense.

In amongst the violence, bloodshed, torture and murder, there is a romantic streak in this one, and it works really well and it was a plot line that suited the story.

This is a fabulous series and the author has made Patsy Diamond a character to be reckoned with along with Sheila, Maggie, Victoria ad so many others. Great for fans of gangland crime and a series that has an ongoing storyline. Brilliant reading and one I would recommend.

I had an ARC

This is book 4 and I have followed Patsy Diamond from the beginning. I really enjoy a gangland crime book and it's great to see a woman boss as the main character.

I have had a bit of a love and hate relationship with Patsy. Sometimes I think she is not cut out to be a leader being a bit too desorganised and impulsive and having to dig into her pocket to make up for her mistakes. On the other hand she is a great boss, always rewarding the people working for her in a fair way. 

This book has very brutal sections with pages drenched in blood, but also very soft ones where the pages are soaked in love.

A very good series where you could see how Patsy has evolved and grown as a leader, learning form her mistakes and surrounding herself with a solid group of people she can always count on. 

Did I have a favorite character? Well, yes. It has to be Fin who also has come a long way. 

Pack your bags and accompany Patsy on her journey that takes her from Scotland to England and France. 4 stars

Forever Diamond

Thoroughly enjoyed this series of books. What a turn there has been 4 books down and still following the lives of some great characters.

This is Book 4, Patsy Diamond Gangland crime series.
I have read all these books so far and for the best reading experience I would say read them in order. You really would get the best from the series.
Following the lives of some great characters these books so far have all been superb reads, brilliant characters and great storylines.

A brilliant ending to this book.
Godden has become an author whose books I just have to read. I have enjoyed each and every one of them.

Book 4 in the Patsy Diamond gangland series and what a read it is! I would advise reading the previous 3 first, you won't be disappointed if you enjoy gangland thrillers! This is the last in a perfect series and what a ride it has been. Great characterisation, clever plotting and all well written with plenty of tension, everything you want in a thriller. A series I highly recommend. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.
