Jeneva Rose is known for her thriller mysteries, but with this book she proves that she can write in all genres. This was a perfect beach read romcom.
Usually, my complaint is that a book is too long, and could have been cut down, but in this case, I wanted this book to be longer. It's about 200 pages and I wanted more!
The book opens with our main character telling a mystery (to us the reader) man that she doesn't love him and he walks away sad. She then has a conversation with a stranger who makes who realize she does in fact love said mystery man and she is on her way to tell him how she really feels... BUT then she gets hit by a car and wakes up to three men all claiming to be her boyfriend. She has no idea who any of these people are, and with the help of her best friends, she decides to re-date all three thinking that one of these men must be her mystery man that she is in love with.
It was pretty obvious about 50 pages in who she was going to choose, and I wish Jeneva Rose had kept it a bit more mysterious. After all, she writes thriller/mysteries so she absolutely could have kept us guessing for longer.
Overall, this was a solid 4 star read, and I hope to see this author continue to write in the romance genre.

I’m a huge Jeneva Rose fan, so I grabbed this as soon as I saw it come up as available!
This is Rose’s first foray into rom-coms, and it brings both the rom and the com. Peyton wakes from a coma after being hit by a car to find that she was dating three men, about to tell someone that she loved him, and can’t remember anything at all. Her friends tell her they will help her figure out who she loves, and off she goes to start dating the three men all over again.
The concept is fun, the men all sound delicious, and Peyton is easy to root for. The story definitely leans on the predictable side, as I figured out who she loved almost immediately. Peyton’s best friend and her landlady add comic relief and levity to the story.
In my opinion, things were kept pretty surface level in this story and it all felt very light and airy. I didn’t really feel the connection Peyton thinks she feels with one man, and a whole lot of assumptions were made by the character. I would have liked to see more of her time with the various men, as getting to know them was the whole premise of the story and it didn’t feel like a central thing while actually reading.
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. I’d give this 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Such a fun, fast read! Like the Bachelorette turned Goldie Hawn from the movie Overboard. It was a cute story with cool characters and lots of laughs. I figured out right away who Peyton loved, but that didn't matter. The journey to the end was worth the read. Rose is known for her juicy thrillers, but I think her Rom-coms will also be a big hit. I really enjoyed it!
Thank you to the author, Montlake and NetGalley for allowing me digital access in exchange for my honest review!

4.25 stars - The book was a fun and quick read. Peyton is in her 30s and has not been in a serious relationship in her whole life. On the day she realizes who she loves, she gets hit by a car and wakes up in the hospital with no memories of who she is, the man she loves, and the three handsome men that show up saying they are her boyfriends. On the quest to figure out which man is the man she loves, she goes on a "first date" with each man again. Honestly, the plot was predictable, and I figured out who Peyton would end up with early in the story. It was fun to read and see how they ended up together.
Thank you to Montlake and NetGalley for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Blurb: Peyton knows who she loves and is racing through the streets of Chicago to tell him when her world (literally) turns upside down. A nasty car crash leaves Peyton with temporary amnesia, and shocker! Three boyfriends show up at the hospital proclaiming their feelings for her! Peyton doesn’t remember who she’s in love with and decides to date them all (again!) to figure it out.
It’s a Date (Again) is like a classic Hallmark movie: romantic, hilarious, and dramatic! It was such a fun read. The plot was pretty predictable and you figure out who the female main character ends up with pretty early on, but it was interesting to read and go through the dates and figure out how they end up together. The FMC’s growth throughout the story as she dates her three suitors is entertaining, and the comedic relief from Debbie and Maya is perfect.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC, all opinions are my own.

First things first, I have to say that I am a Jeneva Rose fan and usually devour her work. I also don't read romance aside from Colleen Hoover. So saying that, I didn't like this. I gave it a chance and read it but I found it boring and corny and I had guessed who the mystery man was immediately. No hate towards this author, it just wasn't for me, at all. I'm giving this Three Stars because the writing wasn't terrible and this is solely a personal opinion.
Thank you Netgalley and Montlake for this ARC.

This book was such a fun read! Kept me entertained the entire time and I didn’t want the story to end. I really hope Jeneva writes more romcoms in the future. I highly recommend!
Thank you NetGalley for the arc of this book!

This was a cute, fun, quick read. It is definitely a different book than other ones I’ve read by the author. It was a sweet story, but definitely far fetched and I had to remind my brain to just stay in the fantasy of it. I know it wasn’t meant to be a suspense, but I definitely had the ending pegged pretty early on! Overall this was a fun, light-hearted read! Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC!

I looooove when a book is set in Chicago. This is such a cute story. I really enjoyed the idea of the book but there were a few plot holes through it.
Thank you to NetGalley for the advance review copy in return for an honest review.

If Jeneva wrote the phone book I’d read it. She has a way of just sucking you in and you can’t stop until the end, and even when you get there you wish it wasn’t over. I loved this book and these characters so very much. I need a Maya book ASAP. It had me actually laughing out loud which is rare for me. Jeneva is a gem of a writer, one of my favorites.

If you’re in search of your next swoony happy read, look no further! It’s A Date (again) follows Peyton as she is rushing to confess her love when she is hit by a car. She wakes up in the hospital with amnesia, and then three different men show up claiming to be her boyfriend. So which one was she rushing to meet?
You may be used to reading the mysteries in Jeneva Roses novels, and you still have that mystery element here in trying to determine who Peyton’s true love is. If you’re a fan of her work, I’d definitely recommend you read this one!
This romcom was such a fun read! It never drug on and I absolutely loved the ending. Jeneva, please write more romcoms in the future because this reader wants more of your love stories. “Frankly, I’d read your grocery lists.”
Thank you to the publisher for the gifted ARC!

One lovestruck woman. Three handsome boyfriends—and strangers. A unique dating adventure awaits in a hilarious and heartwarming romantic comedy by New York Times bestselling author Jeneva Rose.
While I didn't find this tale totally believable, it was fun, funny, flirty and exactly what I needed. So big thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
