This is a wonderful story about forest animals banding together to help a bunch of ducklings who are inexplicably lost.

Wilbur and Clementine are fox siblings who live in a burrow with their family. In trying to reunite the lost ducklings with their parents, the fox cubs have an exciting adventure, which involves a fair bit of working together through adversity with the help of other animals, and experiencing a brush with danger.

It all ends well of course, and the beautiful illustrations accompanying the story contribute significantly to the reader's enjoyment. The lessons to be learned are delivered smoothly, and there are some excellent additional touches which gave me great pleasure. For example, the explanation of why the fox family does not eat the ducklings, and why one of the ducklings utters "queeks" instead of quacks! Highly recommended.
