This is a new author. She tells the story of Matteo and Deepti, as they sail towards Singapore. Deepti has got a job on Matteo’s yacht in order to escape London after losing her job. They are caring for Matteo’s niece who has lost her parents. Some matchmaking by the nanny. Will the romance unravel when Matteo discovers that Deepti lied about why she lost her job?
An interesting storyline, affable, likeable characters, amazing descriptions of the backdrop and scenery. I didn’t enjoy the pages of internal monologue, my interest drifted off. A great debut novel, just needs a little work on the execution.

This book tells the story of matteo and Deepti. Deepti is escaping from London and gets a job aboard Matteo's yacht. Whilst the book is very slow in some parts it has a nice build up and gives you time to get to know both Matteo and Deepti. I enjoyed it overall but mainly due to the location rather than the story and characters.

I really enjoyed this romance. The focus was only on the couple and Bella, the 5 year old niece. Some lovely sightseeing, the run of a big yacht and a matchmaking nanny gave flavour to the tale. The knots were easily unravelled and the book was almost all the romance and growing relationship between Deepti and Matteo - it made the book a gentle, unchallenging read - just what I was after.

Well thought out plot and it certainly has all the ingredients for a smashing romance, but I did find it a little slow in places.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

This should have been a fabulous read. Foreign locations, an incredible super yacht journey to Singapore, an instant attraction between h/H, an, endearing plot moppet who’s lost her parents, said parents betrayed our hero, a, heroine who’s been betrayed and lost her job - a hero who was betrayed and lied to by both his brother and his fiancée - check, check, check.. so this should have been a deliciously exciting romance. Sorry, but I did not find it so.

The execution is disappointing. Thee is much interior monologuing and info dumping. Inner monologues went on for pages with very little happening between the h/H.

The black moment hinges on the fact the heroine has not revealed the truth of her losing her job, to the hero- even though he’s opened up to her and she knows how much he hates being lied to. She knows she’s making a mistake but does she buckle up and confess? No she doesn’t because otherwise the book has nowhere to go.

I’m sorry to be so critical when this is a debut novel and I know how hard the author will have worked. She certainly shows promise but I wanted far more to be happening between them - not the contestant interior thinking that took up so much room.
