This book is a 3.5 to me. I liked piper she was a woman that knew what she wanted and what she wanted was a man so sure that he didn't deserve her he kept messing up. I get it in a way cause he didn't know if he could protect her as promised and give in to his feelings but like he was all about his besties that he grew up with. I don't know this was a supernatural historical romance but I didn't mind that. My two real issues are, that Jules had an active mistress at the begin of the book and how we are thrown in to the supernatural subplot. Once you get further into the book I feel like it is adequately explained but it takes a little while to get there which can be frustrating. On that note, I really enjoyed Finn and I'm excited to see his is the next book in the series. Thank you NetGalley for providing me a copy of this book to read for my honest opinion
This is a well written story which is action packed, emotionally charged, and with trust, humor, witty banter and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner.
Such a unique book, I loved the plot, and oh my god the characters were so amazing!! I definitely will be recommending it!!
Usually I do like Tracy Sumner books, but this was a no-no from the start. I couldn’t get into the story, I hated the female character and the way she behaves. She’s in danger but she doesn’t care about her safety nor the safety of the others.
Perhaps another story, but not this one.
The Lady is Trouble by Tracy Sumner is a book that was intriguing and brought a different type of historical romance than I’m used to with the added storyline of paranormal skills.
Julian and Piper have known each other since they were young and Julian is firm in his role as Piper’s protector and wants to keep her hidden away for her protection, despite Piper’s desire to be out in the world and embrace her gifts. Julian denies his feelings for Piper, much to her frustration. He’s doing it to “protect” her, but as well all know she doesn’t need it, she needs him.
This was a fun read and had secondary characters that were intriguing and added a great depth to the story and set them up for their own stories. We got the Regency romance with the aristocracy thrown, along with a lovely relationship progression.
I look forward to the rest of the series.
This book was provided to me by NetGalley and the publishers, all opinions are my own.
The Lady Is Trouble by Tracy Sumner
It was one of my favorites. It was different than your typical historical romance, you get a bit of Lisa Klepas meets Paranormal Activities. It's a great read to romance with a spin of her own. I enjoyed it very much and I'm looking forward to more of her books as this is one of my first from her. 10/10
A great start to a new series of regency romance with a touch of the paranormal which is a new take for me on this kind of romantic genre, and i really enjoyed it.
The characters were bewitching and full of character and emotion and they all bring something to the story
This is a friend to romance story so do not expect everything right away but it does grow and form and you will full in love with their romance along the way

Since Tracy Sumner’s hadn’t disappointed me with the Duchess Society, I thought I’d give this new series a go and it is just as thrilling as the books in her other series but with some paranormal twists. Julian Alexander, a Viscount has loved Lady Piper Scott a psychic healer for quite a while but promised to be her protector as there are some who would harm her due to her gift. Piper on the other hands is done with waiting to get Julian’s attention and decides to present herself as a medium which does exactly what Julian had been trying to avoid, put her life in danger. Now this first book reads as an introduction to a myriad of characters which I am sure will have their stories told, but also emphasis the new fantastic road Sumner is going to have us travel through. Each of the character introduced have different abilities and some of the women are definitely not wilting flowers which usually make for some spicy interactions. I cannot wait to read the next instalment in this new series. This book is a friends to lovers book where we get each of the characters point of view as they work through their feelings and find their HEA. I received an ARC copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving this review.
