When I first read the description of this book it sounded right up my alley- magic, supernatural creatures and to top it all off, queer! This book was also unique in the plot point of the partial memory wiping spell and it offered a new kind of supernatural book. It was funny, interesting and intense and I really enjoyed it.

I was excited to see that Lana Harper is a pen name for Lana popovic, since I read all her books and I enjoyed Poison Priestess in particular. This book didn't disappoint. The characters were well drawn and it was an enchanting tale. I immediately got samples on kindle of Lana Harper's other books, now that I know it's Lana Popovic who is writing them. I enjoyed this tale and would recommend the book to all who love a good fantasy novel. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for giving me a copy of the book.
