I don't read many Older Woman/Younger Man age gaps so I was excited when I saw this premise but this book did not deliver.

It was difficult to connect to the characters as individuals and even harder to feel like this was a romance about them. I don't feel like I spent enough with them together. Nick and Elizabeth were always with other people and never together. I understand that pining is a part of the story, but there wasn't enough time with them in one place, falling in love, to believe that they wanted each other. In fact, Nick spends more time involving himself with other women than he ever spends with Elizabeth.

HOT, that's the word you need to describe this book, hot and steamy, and everything synonymy you can think off, it's an erotica book about a forbidden relationship.

I wanted to get into this, I really did - Nick's just graduated college and about to start working at his father's company when he meets older woman Elizabeth and the connection is immediate.

Nick follows Elizabeth to Spain where things get complicated - but I found I just didnt care. None of the characters were particularly likeable, the whole situation between Nick and Elizabeth for me was meh. Get together, dont get together - I don't care and lost interest in reading how things work out.

Disappointed as lots of people rated this highly, but it really didnt hit the spot for me.

I really wanted to like this book but struggled to. I couldn’t feel sorry for or believe in the depth of the MMC’s feelings for the FMC, because in the same breath he professed his love for her, he also f***ed anything that moved. I also found it very hard to believe that a strong, independent, mature woman would cave and let a stupid, young, immature young man accompany her on her long awaited trip to Machu Picchu. Taking that trip alone would have been incredibly important to someone as strong and independent as the FMC. The spicy scenes were definitely spicy 🥵 and were some of the best I’ve read written by a male author. Despite this, overall, I didn't feel it and give it 2.5 ⭐

Nick has just graduated from Columbia with an MBA and is reluctantly preparing to join his father’s medical research firm. His father is throwing a graduation party for him and has invited many of his business associates to attend so that Nick can get to know them before he starts work. Nick has delayed joining the party for a quickie with a long-time acquaintance and is finally hunted down. Nick is introduced to a stunning, bright woman about a decade older than him and immediately knows he must be with her. Forever. He immediately runs after her to Spain to impress her with his sincerity and maturity

This quickly turned into a version of “Porkys” for rich kids. Nick is a philanderer that insists the age difference is not significant, then it is, then it isn’t again. In between, he encounters several more women who could be the right one. Kilometro Cero refers to the starting point of all historic highways in Spain, leading away from the capitol square in Madrid. In this case it was more like a round-about.

This seemed to me an attempt to rewrite “The Graduate,” now with more sex. An interesting idea.

As a debut novel, it had screeching grammatical errors that made it difficult to read. Why would Nick offer a picture of sangria, since they were looking for refreshments? Are ‘set’ and ‘sat’ interchangeable? An editor might have caught these and other gaffes.

So glad I gave this book a try. The title confused me, but after reading more about the story, I knew I wanted to read it. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. The writing is superb, and I appreciated a story from a young man's point of view - that's not the normal genre I read. Great work, Lee.

I enjoyed all aspects of this book: descriptions of the travel, FMC, MMC, conflict, structure and pacing. I would recommend this book widely to almost everyone, with nearly zero exceptions, even for those who don't appreciate some of the tropes discussed in this book. The age gap was well-portrayed, balancing their connection with the challenges they faced. The MMC's interest, while first thought of as infatuation, in the FMC, is well-developed and explored throughout the book, and I wasn't left wanting. I appreciated the portrayal of Elizabeth and I was emotionally touched by her story.

First of all, the cover of this book is gorgeous- both e-book and paperback, which the author was actually kind enough to send me a signed copy of!

Nick and his friends give me major Logan off of Gilmore Girls vibes, Logan and his friends! Also, I read on the author Q&A that Lee modeled the book kind of after The Graduate, but reverses roles. Which is one of my favorites.

The storyline was great. Lee's writing is great. I can't say I have read many articles written by men, and it was really good. The book was written in a third party POV format. I am not a huge lover of third party POV, and that is truly the only thing that made me read so slowly.

I also would have loved a little more drama early on in the book. I think that may have made a less slow read. As a born and raised Georgian, I did really like that Nick's hometown was Atlanta.

A very sexy coming of age novel. Nick may have thought by going through college and achieving his MBA he had finally grown up. But it takes a certain woman....
Hot and emotional.

A messy, forbidden love story that left me REALLY wanting to go to Spain.

Pros: Fast-paced, enticing tropes, complex plot
Cons: Kind of meh, character development left me wanting more

Don't get me wrong, this book was good. The storyline was easy to read and enticing at times. However, I found myself drifting off here and there with boredom. There was very little enchantment in the way the book was written and I think that could be improved.

Overall, I would still recommend this book to someone just dipping their toes into the warm and inviting pool of steamy, trope ridden, romance reads.

What a crazy ride.
Nick just got his MBA and meets 1 of his fathers beautiful colleagues as his graduation party.
He goes on a rampage of man whoring to say the very least LOL. I think he is so lost that he figures sex is the answer to stop himself from feeling what he does for this beautiful colleague of his fathers.
He starts sleeping around, he dates and gets engaged a bit too quickly. But nothing stops what he knows must be love.

It's an interesting read, fast paced events happening non-stop that you won't be able to put this book down.

So, I thought the premise of this novel was great! Messy love triangle. Love that for us. Unfortunately, this read with no soul. It’s giving concise and straight to the point. Everything is written in such a “matter of fact” style it’s hard to fall in love with any of the main characters. None were particularly characters that would leave an impression. Honestly, I was a bit bored. I’m sure if there was more life given to this story it would’ve been more impressive. Everything just felt flat and monotone. I would definitely say this is a ‘meh’ introduction into messy romances (dramatic) but I doubt you’d jump back in if it’s your first.

I was a little skeptical about this book as the title didn't really connect with me, but I was in for a surprise! This book was a page turner from the start and I couldn't put it down. The plot took a couple tangents, but it all came together nicely in the end and was a captivating read. Highly recommend!
