Legacy Changer is the best Christian book you'll read this year. Author Kristen Hallinan walks you through looking back at your past and how your family of origin shaped who you are today. The goal of this book is to help you look at your past through a Biblical worldview so that, by the grace of God, you can heal and improve the patterns in your life and leave a better legacy for your family.

WOW! This book is a game changer. All of the author's writings are based on Scripture. She incorporates personal testimony as well as counseling techniques as she helps you process your life's story. The end goal is redemption and transformation so you can take what was given to you and let the Lord use it to create something better for the next generation.

While this book made a big impact on me and helped me to understand about myself, I could not breeze through it. I had to slowly digest the information, ponder the Scriptures that she references, and process with the aid of my journal. The author includes questions for your consideration at the end of the chapter. Some chapters include "homework" to help you go even deeper into healing from your past.

I came away from this book understanding myself better, improving my relationship with my parents and recognizing patterns that needed to change in how I parent my children.

I highly recommend this book!

While the strong Christian focus may not resonate with all readers, the book offers valuable pragmatic exercises that anyone can benefit from, regardless of their faith background. Hallinan's integration of scientific knowledge, Scripture, and faith in God provides a comprehensive framework for understanding and navigating past wounds. However, readers seeking a more secular approach may find the overtly Christian perspective overwhelming. Nevertheless, the practical resources provided offer opportunities for self-reflection and growth, making this book a potentially transformative read for those open to its spiritual underpinnings.
