This series is a wonderful one to read and I think it would appeal to so many people. It fits into the slice of life category with high school kids, but the trouble with turning off your brain and being able to sleep is something that many people can relate to. This volume in particular there are many highs and lows for the characters, and you really want them to succeed and then are heartbroken for them when everything doesn't pan out. Not to mention the art in this is spectacular - I think it's one of the most beautiful manga series I've ever read. It also transitioned well from print to visual. I can't wait to get to the stuff not seen in the anime.

Thank you NetGalley and Viz Media for this arc!

5/5 stars

This volume really brought more interest for me into this series. I enjoyed the first two, but this one was really just so good! I'm excited to see where their budding romance will go :3

This is a great addition to the Insomniacs After School manga series. The characters are really well developed and their relationships are starting to bloom. Highly recommended!

By the end of book one, we didn’t know much about our two main characters, so I really enjoyed getting to know them both more through these two volumes. This manga is perfect for any fans of slice of life with a dash of crush.

This book continues the slow-burn romance of the series. Magari and Ganta's friends have more of a role from here on out, adding more characters and depth to the world. This does not take away from the protagonists' time in the light but rather fleshes out various aspects of their personality.

I LOVE this series! Each volume has been as good as the last. I love the MCs, their relationship with one another and the friendships they are building due to starting the astronomy club at their high school. The "love" is a SLOOOOW burn, but it makes sense and isn't slow just to be slow or for the plot, it feels natural and sweet and I am DOWN for it.

One slight quibble, I kind of want to see them passing out next to each other in the observatory more. It's sweet, innocent and speaks VOLUMES with how comfortable they are with one another that the only place they can really be themselves and let go of the world is with each other. SQUEE!!!

Highly recommended if you are looking for a non-sports, realistic high-school coming of age story with normal drama levels.

5, I just love how sweet and gentle this series is and want more now, stars!

My thanks to NetGalley and VIZ Media LLC for an eARC copy of this book to read and review.

This one was the best !
This is growing into such a good series. It's so different from other mangas, making it feel fresh.
It's a very different kind of cuteness overload, it feels more real and genuine than most mangas.
And I think there's no big plot, but we've got a couple things to look forward to still.

This graphic novel was a lot of fun to read. I had never read anything by this author before, but I will definitely be looking out for more of their works in the future. I can't wait to add it to my library's collection.

A nice addition to the "Insomniacs After School" series, but I felt that it fell a bit flat compared to the first two. I still love the story. and the artwork is beautiful.

Ganta Nakami and Isaki Magari make up the school's Astronomy Club. They have their first official club event planned a meteor watching party, but need help in putting it on. The duo has to step out of their comfort zones and ask their friends and classmates for assistance. As a reward, they can watch the city's fireworks festival from the school roof. The fun of this title is how the characters are developing and interacting. Plus, the artwork is very enjoyable and help round out the characters.

Thanks Netgalley and Viz Media for the opportunity to read this title!

I love these kids. In this volume we get more hints at why Magari has sleeping problems, more of their friendships with other students and a deepening of Nakami and Magari’s relationship. I love the art style, especially how cutely the characters are drawn at times. The story is slowly building and building and I’m really enjoying it, I can’t wait to read more!

Thank you to NetGalley and Viz Media for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

In this volume, we follow our two main characters as they prepare for a meteor shower watch party! This will be the first event for the newly revived Astronomy Club so they are trying to make sure that everything goes off without a hitch. But as always, complications arise and the two have to work together to make sure that the watch party is a success.

I really liked this volume and I love the way that Nakami and Magari's relationship is slowly developing. I hope that it keeps this slow and steady pace for the entire series!

This volume is a very pleasant continuation of the last. I'm really enjoying Nakami and Magari's budding romance. It is particularly nice that the pacing of it is slow and sweet. Coupled with the more solemn aspects of the story it makes the all around vibe very bittersweet. I'm really looking forward to the next book.

I'm really enjoying reading the volumes of this manga. The bonds and friendships that form in the story amongst students, former students, teachers around this small school club is so heartwarming.

I've already recommended this these manga to some teens and am looking forward to reading the next volume.

"The Ship" in Insomniacs After School is sailing smoothly in volume 3. Ojiro's visual storytelling makes this slice of life story shine as the characters interact and the main relationship in the story grows.

Thank you to NetGalley and VIZ Media for an advance e-arc in exchange for my honest thoughts. This is the third Volume in the Insomniacs after School manga series (English translation). This volume covers prepping for the meteor shower and the fireworks show. I thought this one was so cute. I love learning more about Ganta and Magari as well as their friends. They both bring out the best in each other, but are still so shy and awkward. I look forward to seeing their friendship and the astronomy club grow. A must check out series.

4.5/5

This is such an enjoyable series. I find myself kicking my feet in the air and squealing more often than not. I LOVE the main characters. They are so unbearably cute~ and their interactions I feel are quite realistic compared to other mangas.

This art style is probably one of my favourites for manga. It’s not realistic, but compared to the typical manga style it feels more realistic. Everything about this series is just so relatable.

I cannot wait until I get to read volume 4. I’m going to hold off watching the anime until I’ve read the equivalent manga, and I’ve heard the anime goes until chapter 55~57. So I’ll be reading the manga for a while still, which I am very, VERY okay with.
