This is an excellent book for everyone who wants to start or already has some plants at home and wants to know more about them and their care. I learned new info about some plants that I have at home and will use that to keep them healthy. Photos inside are useful for easier identification of plants. Another thing that is helpful for beginners is dividing the plants for the easiness of growing the houseplants, perfect for choosing plants to grow. A lovely book that I enjoyed reading, and taking notes from it, and will keep it for future use too.
Hello everyone, I hope you are fine.
I tried to dowload this wonderful book but it doesn't work, unfortunately I can't comment on this book.
Bonjour, j’espère que vous allez bien.
J’ai tenté de técharger ce merveilleux livre mais cela ne fonctionne pas, malheureusement je ne peux pas faire de commentaire sur ce livre.
I love this book. The cover is beautiful and it specifically indicates it's for beginners.
Plants are beautiful, but they are also good for you. They help oxygenate your room.
This book has two sections. Basic care information and individual plant information. In the latter section, it shows 5-6 interesting facts light, watering, flower, size and propagation. The photos are beautiful and very helpful. The first half of the book is knowledge and care. There are smaller photos with specific information.
This book for the beginner that is interested in bringing a plant into their home or office. Even people that have plants, may need additional information.
This book would make a lovely gift and pare it with a plant.
Like a lot of people during the pandemic, the amount of plants in my living space seemed to multiply overnight. There was just something soothing and distracting about having something you could watch grow and thrive while it felt like the rest of the world was falling apart. There wasn't a plan, and, in fact, a few of the plants I acquired weren't suited to my only-sunny-sometimes apartment. Since then, I've moved, acquired more plants, and kept my eyes out for tips to help me make sure my plants thrive (and that I actually know what I'm doing when acquiring new plants). This is the book I wish I had two years ago, but it's still incredibly welcome now. With tips for how to handle all different types of watering, to when and how to repot a plant (something I am /constantly/ wondering), to how to figure what kind of light exposure your windows actually get, to dealing with pests, this really does have everything. About half the book is short profiles on popular houseplants and how to deal with them, but the other half is general tips that will help any plant parent handle any collection they may have.
One thing that would have been helpful to have in the plant profile section is a yes or no whether or not the plant is toxic to pets or children, but since that's a fairly easy search, it's not a big deal. But it's a good reminder that a lot of popular and easy to care for houseplants need some additional considerations (I've had to label some of my pots to remind myself to wear long gloves, since my skin reacts to handling those plants).
