I might have not read it in autumn but I still enjoyed this book very much. The chemistry between the characters and the slow burn was great. One of those romance novels that are easy to recommend to anyone who like the genre.

*See You Next Fall* by Annabelle McCormack is a sweet, slow-burn friends-to-lovers romance that will appeal to fans of the genre. The chemistry between the two protagonists is palpable, and their gradual shift from friendship to something more is done with care. McCormack's writing is smooth, and the dialogue feels natural, creating an easy read that’s perfect for a cozy afternoon.
However, while the relationship dynamics are engaging, the story sometimes feels a bit too predictable. There’s not a lot of surprise in the plot, and certain conflicts seem resolved a bit too quickly, making it hard to get fully immersed in the emotional stakes. The secondary characters could have been fleshed out more, as some felt more like plot devices than fully realized individuals. Overall, it’s an enjoyable read with some heartfelt moments, but it doesn't fully stand out in the crowded field of contemporary romance. A solid read, but not necessarily groundbreaking.

Annabelle McCormack’s See You Next Fall is a heartfelt exploration of love, friendship, and the complexities of timing. At its core, the story is a testament to how two people can share an undeniable connection while wrestling with the forces pulling them in opposite directions.
Elle Winnick and Quinn Camden’s tradition of meeting every October for four years as friends is the emotional anchor of the novel. Their bond is steeped in trust and vulnerability, yet constrained by rules they’ve set to protect themselves. Elle, still healing from a painful heartbreak, has built her life in Tennessee, where her responsibilities and caution tether her to familiarity. Meanwhile, Quinn, bound by familial expectations in England, faces the pressures of an inheritance he didn’t choose.
McCormack captures the tender push-and-pull between Elle and Quinn with skillful prose, making their connection feel raw and genuine. The chemistry between the two is palpable, but the emotional stakes and their individual fears make their journey toward love anything but straightforward. Readers will root for them to break the self-imposed rules that keep them apart, even as the barriers feel insurmountable at times.
The novel shines brightest in its introspective moments, exploring themes of identity, obligation, and the courage it takes to redefine one’s path. The annual meetings create a unique structure, offering glimpses of how the characters grow over time while maintaining the tension of "will they or won’t they."
However, the pacing can feel uneven, as the yearly snapshots sometimes leave emotional developments between meetings unexplored. While the slow-burn romance is compelling, the resolution feels a bit rushed, leaving some readers wishing for a deeper dive into how Elle and Quinn navigate their choices after the pivotal turning point.

Book Review:
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Elle Winnick and Quinn Camden became quick friends at a conference. In order to secure they remain strictly platonic, they made a pack. They vowed to always be honest, never engage in anything physical, and spend the first week of October in the city they first met. Through life’s ups and downs they have been each other’s constant source of strength. But when feelings start to arise, their friendship hangs in the balance.
I could not let the month of October pass without sharing Annabelle McCormack’s See You Next Fall. Not only does the cover scream read me during the fall season, the story evokes all the warm, cozy feelings.
McCormack tells Elle and Quinn’s love story over the span of four years. Alternating between the main character’s POV, readers are able to witness them transform from teenagers to young adults. This friends to lovers romance will keep you on the edge of your seat.

This book was totally worth the wait on audio!! With read by Elizabeth Grace, this friends to lovers story was great on audio and perfect for fans of authors like Emily Henry and her book, People we meet on vacation. Anyone who enjoys seeing friends struggling with unrequited love and mutual pining won't want to miss this slow burn spicy romcom! Many thanks to NetGalley and the author for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!!

This was a cute trans-Atlantic slow-burn romance ideal for the autumn months with all of the autumn imagery in

I could not put this book down and finished it within a 24 hour period! This romance had SO many moments that had me grinning until my face hurt, laughing, tearing up and even had my stomach in knots at times.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for granting me free access to the advanced digital copy of this book.
This was a great book and I'll be purchasing it for the library.

I struggled to finish this book.
This concept was super cute, and I loved that it was a fall book, because I feel like we don't see a lot of fall books!
I think the author's writing was skilled, but I did not connect with the characters the way I needed to, and I think in this instance a 1st person POV would have worked better for me.
(I will not be sharing this review on social media)

I loved this book! It was sweet, romantic, and moved along quickly. The storyline between Elle and Quinn was passionate but delve deeply into their personal, individual lives. I loved it and would highly recommend!!!!

This is a clever book with a few unexpected twists. I would recommend See You Next Fall for your seasonal TBR list.

People who like reading books in third person will love this. Unfortunately, I just wasn't a fan of it. I didn't know going in that it'd be in third person, and there were too many italicized thoughts in between paragraphs that made it feel choppy to me. It might have been better had it just been written in first person. If that's your thing though, it was very cute.

Oh, this book is one of my favorites that I’ve read all year. There were pieces in the plot that reminded me of November 9 by Colleen Hoover which is also one of my favorite books ever. I became invested in the characters quickly and loved the way we didn’t just read about relationships but FELT the relationships through every interaction between each character. I didn’t wanna put this book down, and I was sad when it was over. I can’t wait to read more from Annabelle McCormack!

Elle and Quinn become best friends during a chance meeting in a janitor closet in Georgetown for a conference. A friends to lovers romance that follows two friends from opposite sides of the world and drastically different backgrounds who spend the first week of each October together. Will their friendship overcome life’s challenges and possibly lead to more?
I fell in love with Elle and Quinn immediately throughout this heartwarming story told through flashbacks. The two face real challenges alongside fantastic friends. Cozy up in front of a fireplace with your softest blanket and prepare to be enchanted this fall!
Thanks to NetGalley and Annabelle McCormack for the ARC in exchange for a fair review.

I love seeing a book where the romantic leads start as best friends! I especially love the fact, in this book, that the female lead is clear on expectations and rules and that he respects her wishes. I am a huge fan of best friend romances where they must decide if they should cross the line into more....and the risk of ruining what they have. Elle and Quinn were so much fun, and their easy friendship and playful banter were a great time to read. The dialogue seemed very realistic and pure. It's an adorable romance all around!

Elle and Quinn! I loved these characters. Sweet., funny, and hard to put down! Thank you for the opportunity to read this!

My only con about this book is that I didnt read it sooner! I was obsessed from the very start, it literally took me one day to read! I felt totally immersed in the story, following along with the characters throughout their decisions. I felt heart break and I felt joy with this book! I cried tears of sadness and tears of joy. A must read!
"But you--youre the sun" DYINGGGGG
Unlimited Stars!!! 10000000/10! Would recommend to any and everyone!

See You Next Fall is a sweet romcom for the Fall season. A friends to lovers romance that has you immediately rooting for the couple. I enjoyed the alternating timelines and all of the Taylor Swift vibes.
ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Elle and Quinn first encounter involves him requesting she kiss him in a janitor closet to avoid being caught by a overenthusiastic fan of his at a conference they were both attending. Their relationship can only go up from there, right? In a story told over four different years, the reader gets to enjoy this strangers to friends to lovers romance that is perfectly set in the fall!
I found this to be a super cute fall themed romance. I loved the story told in both Elle and Quinn's perspective, and found the jumping of years to keep the story interesting. I loved the ending, and felt like it was perfect for these two characters. I appreciated the growth of the characters and appreciated their recognition that they were miscommunicating at times and helped to clear it up, it feels like this is often the crux of many romance novels. Overall, it was a cute romance that got me ready for the fall season.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for an advanced copy of this book. All opinions within this review are my own.
