I loved the premise of this book and thought it was well done. The romance is sweet and I enjoyed the character arc of the protagonist.

I had more expectations for this one tbh. I read the French holiday and I loved it, so I went into this book kinda with the same expectations. It was ok. It was a bit slow for me, I felt like it dragged a bit but the concept was there and it was funny. The story is intriguing and it was nice to see fmc unfold (even if it was for a hot ghost 😂).

I enjoyed this one! I’ll be honest, I thought the plot was going to be predictable and that Daniel was going to be in a coma or something so when things were finally revealed I actually said “What!?” Jillian was a sweet character but I cringed so bad at the fact people kept setting her up and all she did was smile, nod and awkward chuckle on these dates. Talk about rough. I chuckled a ton at this scenario - like ahaha of course there’s a ghost in her new apartment and of course he is shirtless LOL. Overall, it’s a fun take on the whole I’m falling in love with a ghost haha but the blow up of this one definitely punches you in the feels, be warned.

I went back and forth between the ebook and audiobook for this one but ultimately enjoyed the narration so I did mostly audio!

A huge thanks to W. W. Crown and Netgalley for the ARC and ALC. All opinions are my own.

I love a paranormal romance, and went in completely blind with this book, and I was so delighted to find that it was a sweet romance between Jillian and a ghost named Daniel who resides in her apartment. It was magical and I loved the theme of second chances.

I paired the book with audio and loved the immersive reading style.

*many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

This book was not what I expected. I don’t know what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn’t anything that happened in this book.

Jillian was a dating expert, but she couldn’t talk to real, living men. I say living because she ended up communicating with Daniel, the ghost living in her new apartment. I got very invested in their story, because it was obvious they were falling for each other. But they couldn’t be together because he wasn’t alive. I mean, they couldn’t touch or anything. And I just wanted to know how they were going to get their HEA.

Then there was that whole twist when Daniel disappeared. And then reappeared…differently. But his reappearance was good and not-so-good for Jillian. It made me even more invested in how they would get their HEA.

This was a cute and heartwarming story. Jillian learned how to talk to men, and she got more confidence in not only talking to them, but in just being herself.

Paranormal love stories have always been my favorite, but this one really takes the cake. It is heartwarming and emotional. we follow Jillian who writes a dating and relationship advice column but struggles with speaking to men in real life. However, Daniel, the drool worthy ghost residing in her apartment seems to be the only exception. He makes it his goal to help her through her struggles in hopes of finally moving on himself. But as the two grow more comfortable and familiar with each other, a hapless. connection begins to blossom. They can never truly be together, since he is dead and she is not. When Daniel suddenly becomes absent from Jillians life, she spirals into almost madness and begins questioning everything.

ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

I’m a little back up on my ARC list but trying to play catch up! I’m sad that I didn’t get to this one sooner! It was such a cute, endearing, magical romance story and I’ll be waiting patiently for the next book in the series. I really like the main characters meet cute and how there were magical elements and science fiction woven in! And if you’re a Trekkie, you need to read this book ASAP!

Talk about a spirited love story, with a twist!! Ghosted is a magical journey through love, forgiveness, and second chances. If you're a fan of witty banter, unexpected connections, and paranormal twists, this book is a must-read.

Meet Jillian Nejat. She’s a dating and relationship expert who has an unusual problem: she can't speak to men. If they're alive and breathing, it's game over. Her career is in shambles, her bank account empty, and her dating life nonexistent. When she moves into a tiny NYC apartment, she discovers it's already occupied! And by a sexy, shirtless, six-pack-wielding ghost named Daniel .

Daniel isn't just any ghost; he's the only man Jillian can talk to. He becomes her unlikely confidant, and soon he's convinced that his afterlife mission is to resurrect Jillian's love life. If he helps her fall in love, he can finally move on. Jillian agrees, despite the oddity of having a sexy ghost as her wingman.

As practice dates turn into something more, Jillian fears she's falling for a man she can never truly have. Daniel, with his hidden depths and undeniable charm, becomes more than just a ghostly companion. Their chemistry sizzles, and their emotional connection transcends the realms between the living and the dead.

Jillian's quirky innocence pairs well with Daniel's enigmatic allure, and Ready weaves a delightful blend of humour, heart, and romance. The novel's time-bending logic adds intrigue, along with the engaging plot and endearing characters. This all combines to keep readers invested beyond the last page turn.

Thank you to NetGalley and The Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) for a temporary e-ARC in exchange for my honest review.

10/10!!! Absolutely loved and enjoyed this book that I also listened to as an audiobook! I DNF it a while ago because I picked it up at the wrong time, I’m a mood reader, and I’m so glad I gave it another chance! It was fantastic and Daniel is more than welcome to come and ghost me! Thanks

I was fully invested in this book. I thought I knew what to expect going in and I was only partially correct. I see that this is the first book in a series and I'm definitely reading the rest.

I loved the characters in this book! With any sort of "ghost" trope romance there is a bit of apprehension around when the twist will happen or the other shoe will drop, but Sarah really outdid herself with this one. As noted in the blurb, this story follows Jillian Nejat, a dating and relationship expert who struggles to communicate with men. Her career is in ruins, her finances are depleted, and her love life is stagnant. When she moves into a cheap NYC apartment, she discovers it's inhabited by Daniel, a handsome ghost. Surprisingly, Jillian can talk to him. Daniel believes helping Jillian find love will allow him to move on from the afterlife. Reluctantly, Jillian agrees, but as they embark on practice dates, share confessions, and grow closer, she finds herself falling for a man she can never truly be with.

This was a lovely story about how meeting the right person at the right time can help you become more confident in yourself, allowing you to be comfortable in your own skin. It was lovely.

Ghosted by Sarah Ready is a really cute romance novel with a paranormal twist to it. I am not going to lie I was sceptical getting into this. But I ended up enjoying it more than I thought it would. The characters are as per usual with Sarah Ready so well rounded. The plot has the perfect balance of depth and lightheartedness. For me there was only one downside to this and that was that it at times felt like reading a YA novel but I think that was more me than the novel itself. It is beautifully written and a really cute premise. I would without a doubt recommend this one.

this was unexpectedly so beautiful. was it unrealistic and outlandish? yes. but was it a beautifully written story that made chest ache? 100%. sarah ready's talent is insane.

I have really enjoyed every Sarah Ready book I’ve read so it pains me to give Ghosted a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ rating, but this one missed the mark for me. I enjoyed the first half of the book but the second half of the book felt drawn out and the second ending was underwhelming. A fun concept, just not executed that great. I will say, the dynamic between Jillian and Daniel was fun, I loved the banter, but the insta-love and paranormal sex scenes were a bit too much for me. It won’t stop me from picking up another Sarah Ready book though.

Thank you to NetGalley and W.W. Crown for providing me a copy of this title. Opinions expressed in this review are my own.

This book is wonderful. It has a plot that keeps you turning the pages until the impossible suddenly becomes possible. Some of the best characters I've ever read. The author is incredibly talented. I will not reveal anything of the plot because it is a mystery that keeps giving and giving. Even if you aren't a fan of romance, or paranormal, the mystery and the writing will keep you hooked. A must read.

I'm a HUGE Sarah Ready fan - but this one sadly didn't do it for me. I LOVE magical realism and can even do a touch of time and space travel but I struggled with Ghosted :( I liked the characters and the premise of the book - I'm still keeping her on my pre-order everything sight unseen list - I'm sure this one just wasn't meant for me. Thank you to NetGalley and Sarah Ready for an advanced copy of Ghosted in exchange for an honest review. FANTASTIC narrators though!

This was cute! It had 'Just Like Heaven' vibes (you know, the movie with Reese Witherspoon), but a little more adult! My biggest problem came in the fact that even though the scenes and settings were geared towards adult audiences, the writing and dialogue between the characters felt really juvenile to me.

An issue I have with romance books especially (not romantasy or anything like that), but strictly contemporary romances is that some of them are extremely long for no good reason. If stuff happens, then great, but even then do we *need* 500 pages? No. Ghosted unfortunately fell into the "too long for it's own good and it's killing the vibes" bucket, which is sad because the premise was so great and it started off pretty strong.

Ghosted was published in September 2023. Thank you to W.W. Crown, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), NetGalley and the author for the advanced digital copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have never read a paranormal romance before and this was FUN. I loved it, but at times it was maybe a little cringy? Either way this was a blast to read and I look forward to the second book in the series.

I loved the mystery/paranormal element to this story. I loved how twisty the plot was since that is not a common execution of contemporary romance.

First thought: Sci-fi and Paranormal Romance is not really my thing but this one intrigued me. I really enjoyed it, kept me on my toes with a few plot twists. If you like the movies: Ghost or Just Like Heaven, you’ll like this one.

Jillian is looking for love. She works as a relationship advice columnist and yet she has one major issue: she can’t talk to men. She’s never been great at it but after loosing a loved one 9yrs ago it’s gotten worse and she can’t even get a hello out. So it made it very challenging to find the love of her life as you can imagine.

She just moved into a new apartment in NYC closer to her job and its wall to wall mirrors and came at a low price she couldn’t pass up. No one told her it also came with a hunky, shirtless, man like ghost! Jillian is a rational person, she loves sci-fi and is a Trekkie but even a hot ghost is a far stretch for her to process.

Daniel is drawn to Jillian but he can’t remember his past all that he knows is she’s his light. After the initial shock of his presence, and him accepting he is a ghost they hit it off. Daniel is the one guy Jillian can actually talk to, so it figures he’s dead!

Daniel decides he’s there to help her with her issue talking to men and her job sink her reviews at work have been bad, no one wants her relationship advice. He has lots he can teach her and maybe by helping her, he can move on. But as things develop he quick realizes maybe he doesn’t want to…
