The Sky Vault is the third installment in The Comet Cycle Series. Having previously read and thoroughly enjoyed The Unfamiliar Garden, the second book in the series, I found that The Sky Vault continues the narrative threads from its predecessors. However, it also stands alone with a noticeable shift in tone and story, exploring cosmic horror elements where entities breach from potentially outside our universe and delving into dark wartime experiments in Alaska that could have repercussions in the present. The narrative unfolds through various perspectives, each striving to unravel past secrets, ultimately culminating in an open ending that leaves numerous questions unanswered.
