"The Times Cricket Grounds of the World" by Richard Whitehead offers a captivating glimpse into cricket's most renowned venues, yet it's not without its drawbacks. While the book excels in its visual presentation and historical insights, some readers may find the depth of analysis lacking in certain sections. Additionally, a few lesser-known or newer cricket grounds receive less attention compared to their more established counterparts, leaving some fans wanting more comprehensive coverage. Despite these limitations, Whitehead's passion for the sport shines through, and the book remains a valuable addition to any cricket enthusiast's collection. However, readers seeking in-depth analysis or coverage of lesser-known venues may need to supplement their reading with additional resources. Overall, "The Times Cricket Grounds of the World" offers a compelling journey through cricket's most iconic locations, albeit with room for improvement in terms of breadth and depth of coverage.

I loved this book from the foreward to the end. As a light cricket fan, some of the stories were familiar to me but just a really enjoyable read.

I think this needs to be in hardback and on your living room table for people to pick up and enjoy.

A beautifully presented book featuring some of the most iconic cricket grounds around the world. It has a foreword by Michael Atherton. Each featured cricket ground has an accompanying photo, facts about the ground and cricket statistics link to that ground. Most of the featured grounds have a summary of a significant international match that took place at that ground as reported at the time by The Times newspaper.
This would make an ideal gift for any cricket fan.
