I don't really know how I feel about this book. It had my least favourite tropes in romance, the adult virgin trope and instant pregnancy which I absolutely hate!! Soke of the steamy scenes were a bit cringe like Renzo ripping off her underwear with his teeth (has this ever happened) and sniffing her underwear (creepy) also the fact she didn't tell Renzo about the miscarriage even after they'd been in each others presence for five weeks left a bad taste in my mouth....sadly not one of my fave Mills and Boon books.

Jessie and Renzo have a past, but after a terrible accident Renzo no longer remembers who Jessie is or their past together.

Jessie is asked by her cousin to help Renzo's recovery and come back into his life and she becomes his new housekeeper.

I really liked this story, it covered a lot of emotional issues and didnt shy away from these, both main characters were likable and this was a really easy enjoyable read.

Beautifully written, Heidi really understands and expresses the pain and suffering both Jessie, with her miscarriage, and Renzo, with his cat accident feel. The premise and timing of the storyline is so well thought out and the pacing just right to keep the reader’s attention. I didn’t enjoy the fact that the storyline was written in the first person and so the I kept jumping between them (but that’s a personal preference).

A romantic masquerade ball is the setting for Jessie and Renzo to meet. He's a billionaire playboy, and she is an ambitious innocent. When her plans to network at the ball fail to materialise, she explores her physical connection with Renzo. The result is a passionate encounter that ends badly for both, as they cannot express their emotions. When an accident destroys Renzo's life, Jessie, now a successful private chef, is talked into helping his rehabilitation by her cousin Belle. What follows is gradual friendship and building of trust as they fall in love and learn to leave their tragic past behind. I like the role reversal where Jessie is the instigator of Renzo's recovery, the emotional connection that develops realistically, and the passion they share.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher.

Another unputtdownable romance from Heidi Rice. Great writing, plot, and characters.

Thank you to NetGalley and to the publisher for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.

An angry, scarred playboy could have been a cliche, but it worked. Innocent Jessie is great, down to earth and kind and makes the romance work. The book covers their hard upbringing but the spotlight in inky on them for most of the book - a cute tale that is well worth a read,

Just nope. Horrible writing and vapid characters. And the whole 'virgin being seduced by billionaire' trope is nasty and predatory. Definitely not one I will be recommending.

The novel follows play boy Renzo, who is recovering from a bad accident. Then Jessie, his new, yet familiar housekeeper arrives and stirs his desires.
Jessie and Renzo's chemistry is off the charts and were well suited as they are both haunted by their past. The novel shifts from past to present but was still easy to follow. I really enjoyed the book and I kept reading until the end. I highly recommend it.
💖 Reedemed by my forbidden housekeeper is released on the 14th September.
❤️ Thank you to mills and boon, netgalley and the author, Heidi Rice for my arc ebook copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.

Redeemed by my Forbidden Housekeeper
Arc Review
4/5⭐️

This was such an amazing read for me, I managed to read it in just a couple of hours. This book was very fast paced and jumped straight in to the plot and romance which was so intriguing. Heidi Reid has did an exceptional job on this book as she has linked the main characters throughout this book so well which added so much depth and reality to the main characters love story (Jessie and Renzo).

Redeemed by my Forbidden Housekeeper is a modern romance book but is also a novel which covers more serious topics like miscarriage and trauma. Both main characters suffer a great deal of pain from their past which causes some troubles in their relationship which only makes them stronger. I can’t recommend this book enough. Heidi Reid has created such great contrast throughout this novel by writing a lovely, real and emotional modern romance story while also including serious topics that happen in reality. Throughout this book and especially the end really shows how strong love can be that it can conquer many life issues.

This book starts at a Masquerade Ball where Jessie (our heroine) has used her cousins invitation in hopes to boost her business but all she manages is to catch Renzo’s (hero) eye!

I really enjoyed this book, it’s not something I would usually reach for but has some of my favourite tropes! I’m also such a sucker for a Masquerade Ball, the mental image I created in the story was everything! Heid had a strong writing style and I was able to really lose myself in the book.

with a handful of steamy scenes, it is perfectly paired with enough plot & emotions to make the ideal modern romance.

This book does contain mention of the heroine having a miscarriage - please check the book information in case this is a trigger for you.
