While this was for children I learned some stuff I so much I didn't know: some of the most interesting were the origins of hopscotch, Pompeii's food trucks, grapes during prohibition.

This was a great book full of interesting and fascinating facts from prehistory, ancient Egypt, the Industrial Revolution, and beyond.

Written in an easy to read format and light-hearted tone and coupled with fun illustrations, this is an enjoyable book for readers of all ages who love to learn, like me!

Pros: This book reminded me a bit of The Anthropocene Reviewed, which is a very good thing. I enjoyed the examination of many different topics because I love to collect trivia and learn new things. This book has fun visuals/illustrations, so I think it would make a great gift for trivia-loving friends and family. I was also impressed with the references section.

Cons: None that I can think of!

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Wellfleet Press for the opportunity to read this book.
