SPOILERS AHEAD!

Thank you to netgalley for an arc of this book.

This was fucking insaaaane. So intense, it really kept me guessing throughout the whole of it what was going to happen and how they were going to find the crown.

Nadir 🥵 I knew he would be endgame (I hope he will be) seeing him in the first book and even though he is equally infuriating, hot and so caring when he wants to be, I really hope that Lor forgives him even if the Aurora said that he would break her heart. I love how their relationship had grown and just how obsessed with her he was, I think now he has guessed they are mates and I can’t wait until it all clicks into place.

I have no idea what is going to happen to Heart now, the Aurora King clearly has a worry about her taking the throne, I just can’t wait to find out more.

This is such a great series!

I was excited to start this one after finishing the first book. Overall, I enjoyed it but felt it could have been shorter and packed a bigger punch. The push and pull between Nadir and Lor was done brilliantly, and there was a lot of angst. I'm intrigued to see what happens in the next one.

3.5/5 stars! This is the second installation in the Artefacts of Ouranos series by author Nisha J. Tuli. I liked this book quite a bit, but it didn't quite live up to storyline from book 1. I feel like this had a few epic scenes and the rest were just filler before book 3.

This book ticks so many romantasy boxes. I like the writing as it's really easy to read, but is just missing a little spark & I think it's the pacing that is slightly off for me, its a little longer than it needs to be. I really like the premise & particularly enjoyed the flashback episodes from Serce's POV.

There's a lot of back & forth between the main characters & it started to get a bit frustrating & repetitive. The secondary characters are great & I'd love more from them, maybe some chapters from their viewpoints too.

The final 100 or so pages flew by as the action ramped up & I still need answers, so I'll be continuing this series. I just hope the pace of the last quarter of the book continues into book 3.

I’m utterly in love with this series. The angst, the tension.. PERFECTION! It had me screaming, kicking my feet and giggling the whole way through.

Thank you to the publisher for my eARC copy of this book. Unfortunately I didn’t love this book and therefore didn’t finish, I just didn’t connect with this one. Not for me, sorry.

This series just gets better and better! I was gripped by book one and book two kept my interest, I didn't want to put it down!
Every answer just created new questions and I cannot wait to dive into the next book and see what happens next for Lor and her friends!
There are moments when I'm so convinced I know what's happening I want to scream at the characters to understand but the tension and the suspense is soooo good!! Nisha has definitely become a favourite author of mine with this series!

This one didn't carry the same excitement and quick pacing as the first one, but definitely built on the world and the history. Getting Serce's POV was a great addition to this. There was a lot of back and forth on the relationship which did annoy me a lot, however I understand there's 2 more books to go so I'm definitely going to finish out the series.

Book Review: Rule of the Aurora King by Nisha J. Tuli

In Rule of the Aurora King, Nisha J. Tuli transports readers back into the enchanting yet treacherous world she created, where Lor's journey grows increasingly complex and captivating. This sequel continues to unravel the mysteries surrounding the Queen of Hearts, adding depth to the narrative while maintaining the high stakes that fans of the first book will remember.

While the story provides some long-awaited answers, it masterfully leaves plenty of questions lingering, ensuring readers remain hooked. Tuli’s writing balances suspense and revelation, blending a sense of resolution with the anticipation of more to come. There are a few plot twists that readers may find predictable, but they do little to detract from the overall enjoyment. Instead, they serve as familiar stepping stones in a fast-paced story.

The pacing of Rule of the Aurora King makes it a quick yet satisfying read, ideal for those who enjoy a book they can devour in one sitting. By the time I reached the end, I was eager to see where Tuli will take Lor and the rest of the characters in the next book. The final chapters are sure to leave readers with anticipating what’s to come.
Rule of the Aurora King is a must-read for fans of fantasy series that blend adventure, mystery, and a touch of romance.

Thank you Netgalley for sending me a free e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is an interesting continuation of the first book, and once again I did enjoy myself but found that ultimately something felt lacking, although I can't put my finger on it.

I really enjoyed the duel pov, and enjoyed getting the story from more than one mind set. I also enjoyed the added spice in this story.

I did not manage to read this unfortunately, due to unforeseeable issues at home but I have preordered this book as I’m interested in reading it once I get the opportunity.

Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, wie ich dieses Buch bewerten soll, da ich es aufgrund relativ kurzer Ausleihdauer (ohne Verlängerung) nicht lesen konnte.

Didn’t enjoy book one. Couldn’t continue with this one. I wish I had been able to - but couldnt get into the story.

This didn't quite reach the highs of the first book but it was still a fun read with memorable characters. Sometimes you just want an easy to read book with a plot that doesn't take much attention to follow!

I enjoyed book 1 and wanted to give book 2 a go and boy am I glad I did. This is such a fun book to read. It is lengthy but not you don't feel it as it keeps moving and you find yourself looking forward to the next chapter and wanting to push the characters forward.

It ends on such a cliffhanger though! I need book 3 in my life! I love this series.

A fantastic sequel to the exciting new series that began with The Trials of the Sun Queen. As expected, there are new plot twists and fascinating characters such as Nadir, the Aurora Prince, who challenges Lor at every turn. An exciting follow up to the first book that promises plenty more in the next installment that I cannot wait to read!

I had to start this straight after finishing the first book.

This book switches it up more from book one with more than one point of view.

Finding out more about Lor's birthright and power in this was very interesting as well as there being some strong enemies to lovers romantasy tropes coming on strong.

Finding out about the Aurora line's dark family dramas was also interesting.

This is slower paced than book one to start off with but things move pretty quick in the second half.

Looking forward to the release of book 3 to see where this is all going!

Sadly didn’t enjoy this as much as the first novel in the series. The development of the broader plot was welcome and it was interesting to have the historical perspective of the grandmother, but the romance didn’t match up and I found the ‘inmate’ nickname pretty offputting.

thank you NetGalley for the eARC of this book.

I enjoyed this - and thought it was better than the first installment.

Overall the story moved at a good pace, even though it is slower than the first book. I am so glad that the author moved the story to dual 1st person POV - having that little insight into Nadir really beneffited the story.

I enjoyed the tension between Lor & Nadir, however if I'm being honest, Lor annoyed me a little towards the end with her indecisivness. We love a girl who learns not to blindly trust, but the to-ing and fro-ing and mixed signals was getting a little bit tiresome towards the end.

there is also a wealth of bad decision-making throughout the story - why dont they use an alias or a disguise with the King, why risk bringing her brother & sister into the city for dinner...the list does go on.

However this didn't detract from the overall book - and I'll be impatiently waiting for book 3 :)
