Very enjoyable read. The characters are interesting and likeable. The romance is sweet. The interaction of Nicki and her sister was sweet. Thanks for a fun read

I love reading books that fit the time of year, recently I've had trouble finding good fall themed books. This one is a fantastic seasonal read, it is a slow burn and not at all spicy. I found it to be a bit slow in some areas and I didn't think the 3rd act conflict was completely necessary but overall I felt like this was a solid 4 star read. I could definitely feel the fall vibes. The character development was pretty good, though I wish I knew more about Carter. I did love the family aspect of the book and how they were all intertwined. I look forward to reading Tagan's next book!
Thanks to NetGalley and Bold Strokes Books for the ARC!

A cute holiday romance that I will definitely be recommending to my friends, especially come autumn time so they can really immerse themselves in this one!

This book is a cute little fall romance that gives warm harvest vibes. It has plenty of banter and swoony moments. I enjoyed my time with the characters but it isn't a story that is likely to stay with me. I enjoyed it while I was reading it and have nothing to complain about.

I loved this book. It felt really cosy and comfy and very much autumnal. It just felt like a hug in book form. The characters were really likeable and lovely and felt so real. Emotions were so easy to relate to and dive into which is so important. Just such a wonderful read. I will definitely be reading more from this author :)

This was really sweet, another small town, cosy, autumn romance to add to the never ending pile. Pumpkin Spice might not have been the most creatively titled book I’ve read recently but it was still really well written and enjoyable to read. If you’re looking for a cute, cosy romance that’s going to make you feel like you just drank a pumpkin spice latte? Then Pumpkin Spice is for you.
Nikki and Carter both have baggage, they’ve both had their hearts broken, and they’ve both ended up in the same small town. The rest of the plot is your standard kind of romance novel, the kind of narrative that feels like a warm blanket on a chilly day. It is predictable but in a good way. Personally, I like the occasional predictable story. But even if you don’t, Tagen’s blend of wonderful characters, sibling teasing, and just a little sprinkling of spice will have you absolutely devouring this cosy romance.

This was an easy cute read however it took me a long time for Carter to grow on me. I found the little amount of information we knew about her a bit odd and it took far too long to find anything out about her. Once she finally opened up it made sense why she was so secretive but I do wish it came about sooner so we could follow their actual relationship story sooner.

A super cute little fall romance. It’s everything you could want to read about in the fall. Super swooney and all the fall vibes!

I unfortunately couldn't get into this one, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend it to someone else!

I can't really describe how I felt reading this book. I liked it, that's for sure but it's not a favorite and definitely not a 5 stars. At the same time, it was such a fun palette cleanser, quite unserious with lots of banter and sweet moments. The romance was very cute, I liked our main characters, they were just meant for each other in a way. Just a comfy, cozy read that was great in between huge fantasy tomes. 4 stars (I suppose?)

I loved this book so much. It was a perfect read for a cold wrapped up day! I loved the small town aspect, loved Carter, and her family. I also enjoyed Nicki’s family… mostly! I didn’t lové how negative Nicki was about herself. It got kind of tiresome. Apart from that though….. perfect. Who wouldn’t want a woman like Carter?!?!

Pumpkin Spice was the perfect escapism for this season! I flew through this novel. It is sappy, lighthearted, and adorable. I was definitely kicking my feet halfway through, but we all deserve a little book like that, and I adored Carter as a love interest. Nicki's internal monologue occasionally bogged me down, but I enjoyed Nicki's reassuring relationship with her sister (and Carter's relationship with her family). I also just loved how lighthearted and romantic this novel was - so much of our media is angsty humdrum. The pacing was solid, and important moments were fleshed out despite the occasional fade-to-black moment. I appreciated that the dynamic between Nicki and Carter wasn't as stereotypical as is often depicted in lesbian media - Carter had vulnerable and emotional moments without it detracting from her butch portrayal. I also appreciated reading about older lesbians as so much of our media is coming of age teens/early 20s. Overall, this was a quick, seasonal read that I will definitely be revisiting next October.

This was such a cute romance and it perfectly captured the autumn vibes I was hoping it would. Nicki and Carter are both in their 40s and both are cautious with their hearts so they aren't going out on a limb for just any romance. This was a bit of a shorter read at 264 pages, but it still managed to pull off a slow(ish) burn romance. I liked that the romance was a little slower so it gave Nicki and Carter more time to get to know the other. I loved the amount of simple, little dates they went on and small conversations they had that consistently got deeper as their relationship bloomed. We get a good cast of small town characters as well and some quirky antics. There were a few times where it felt like we skipped over scenes that I really wanted to see. One example is when Nicki is invited to dinner with Carter's family at the end of a chapter. She agrees, and I'm expecting the next chapter to be that dinner scene, but instead it skips to the next day. Since this was an ARC, maybe that is different in the finalized copy.

Firstly, thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC.

Okay, this book was a bit of a trip.
There were a lot of things I liked, and some that I didn’t really love.

Our main character is an almost 40-year-old woman living in a small Virginia town. Her life doesn’t involve much dating or socializing. Oh, and she has two niblings whom she adores.

Eventually, these two situations collide when she takes her niece to a pumpkin patch and falls for the very attractive farmer.

Their romance is filled with pumpkin spice lattes, autumn strolls, small-town shenanigans, and haunted houses. It’s pretty cute; I feel like fall romance isn’t written about often. Between summer loves and winter holiday romances, fall romance is an overlooked genre.

As sweet and promising as the premise was, there were some things that took me out of it while reading.

There were a lot of details in the writing. Normally, it’s not a bad thing, but in this instance, the author did a lot of telling and not enough showing. It felt kind of long and dull at some points.

Another thing I didn’t really like was how the main character seemed so confused about what she wanted. At one point, she’s on a date while acting self-deprecating and telling herself the other woman does not like her. It made it hard to root for the couple when it seemed like the main character couldn’t. Thankfully, the sister made the rooting a little easier.

Overall, it’s a good, short romance. Not too long or complicated. A cozy read for autumn lovers.

This was, while very fun, just not a very interesting story to me. I didn't care about the drama of it and the only people I felt for were the little niece and her sister.

I started reading this book and I got half way through, however I didn’t have an attachment to the characters so I just stopped reading it. I had planned to continue reading but I had no want to continue.

This was a nice seasonal read, I was craving some pumpkin pie and a mug of pumpkin spice latte the whole time I was reading it! The characters were likeable, the obstacles that stood in Nicki and Carter's way were issues I'm sure we have experienced at some point in our lives, so I could relate to their story. The supporting characters, like Rachel and Fred, were also endearing and made the small town setting come to life. The romance was very slow burn despite the characters' immediate attraction, and some more spice in that department would have made this pumpkin even more delicious.

Nicki cares for no one more than her little neice, so when she demands they go to the local pumpkin patch she can't resist... especially when she notices there is a sexy, new woman working at the venue. Carter is back home, working at her family's farm, and can't help but be charmed by the sweet, awkward Nicki... who seems to keep finding reasons to return back to their pumpkin patch.

Read if you love:
- PSLs duh
- WLW romance
- Fall festivities
- Realistic chemistry & meet cutes

Highly recommend, this book was super cute!

A very sweet Hallmark style romance, set in a small town during Halloween to Thanksgiving.

Carter is back in town to help her parents run their pumpkin patch farm and she is just the type of woman Nicki has been looking for.

I really enjoyed this although I wish Nicki had been a bit less self doubting. It started to feel like every line which I understand but it felt like that was her only personality at times. I loved Carter. A fun romance romp that I will revisit every pumpkin spice season.

Pumpkin Spice is an LGBTQ+ romance between Nicki, who is organizing the Halloween festival for her niece's school and Carter, who works at the pumpkin farm where the festival is being held. The two work begin working together to bring the festival together and fall in love along the way.

This book delivered on the cozy autumnal vibes and I loved the inclusion of classic autumn activities such as going to the pumpkin patch, drinking pumpkin spice lattes and chopping firewood. I really enjoyed the setting of Bucks Mill and felt that the small town in the mountains really added to the atmosphere. The family relationships explored throughout the book felt very realistic and there were some really heartwarming moments particularly between Nicki and her niece Lily. This felt like the book equivalent of an autumnal Hallmark movie so was fluffy and a bit cheesy.

However I felt that the actual romance fell a bit flat. For me there was a lack of chemistry between the two protagonists and throughout we seemed to be told how strong their feelings were towards each other rather than having scenes where they demonstrate their love for each through actions. The two main characters were supposed to be in the 40s however they acted like teenagers and were terrible at communicating which I found slightly annoying. The third act break up felt very forced and came too late so that the resolution felt extremely rushed. In general I think this was maybe too low stakes to the point that I found that there wasn't enough going on to keep me interested and I found myself getting bored.

Overall, this book is perfect if you want a cozy, autumnal read but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you're purely interested in reading a romance.
