I really enjoyed reading this collection of short stories. I particularly love stories about real Appalachia, and this book has it all. It's easy to become gimmicky or hokey when portray this set of American culture, but In the Cut balances these stories and perspectives in a great way.

This was a great group of short stories. I love hearing about people with different experiences and found the voices in this book to be very unique

One of the best short story collections I’ve read in recent years. Each story was completely captivating. All told from different perspectives and all told well. There’s something familiar in every story, though some of us won’t want to admit it.

I will seek out more from this author.
