I thought this was really well written and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future. I think it will find readers at our library, so we will definitely be purchasing for the collection.

One of my friend is a Goblincore lady hehe! So this book was nice to discover with her. She would tell me when it was a big yes or a yes. Because they were no, noes hahaha!

She ask me if she could start on the question and compare with me. So we did! A good book to discover with a friend.

I thought this workbook was adorable. The art style was lovely and the exercises were actually delightful. I would definitely purchase this for myself. However, workbooks tend to be impractical for library lending, so I would recommend this to a friend.

This was a very fun little workbook. While it didn't take too long to read, I greatly enjoyed the time I spent with it.

this was cozy and fun! Definitely a fall/winter cozy read! I will be doing a cozy post about this! As someone constantly in a cozy mode I wanted to eat a big bowl of soup, knit and listen to this book

I would love to thank Chartwell Books, NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Chartwell Books for this e-copy in exchange for an honest review.

When I first got this ARC from NetGalley, I was expecting a cozy, funny cute book.
Instead I found a rule book that encourages you that it's okay to stay like a goblin in the house and do nothing.

Although I got the message the author is trying to send into the world within this piece of work, I for one couldn't resonate with this.
It has gorgeous illustrations, however. And there were parts that I found nice and likeable, but still it wasn't something that I needed.

If you find this premise interesting, please give it a chance. You might love it. ^_^
It gets 3 stars from me.

Having heard of the aesthetic term 'goblin core' for a while I was intrigued by the concept of 'goblin mode' as a self-care approach. This was a fun albeit fairly short read that explores several ways to bring goblin core into your self-care rituals and overall lifestyle. It also has some hands-on journalling/personality quiz-style activities for the reader to engage with which was fun. There are a lot of visuals and the text is written in a fairly accessible way however I felt that it wasn't as informative as I would have liked, focusing more on creating an individualised approach which may work for some readers but unfortunately didn't work for me.

Unfortunately, I was unable to download this book before it was archived and so am leaving this as a review/explanation as I didn't know what else to do after finding a few books I had managed to miss in a section of my account entitled Not Active: Archived, Not Downloaded; so I thought it best to clear it up. I have already bought a copy and will leave a review on places like Amazon, Goodreads, Waterstones, etc, once I've completed it and formed my thoughts on it. Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for the opportunity.

A refreshing take on a self-care handbook. I love the idea of being a Goblin and encouraging self-acceptance.

It really makes me feel like living slowly was actually a good thing compared to the constant 'hustle' culture we are exposed to.

The artwork is lovely and cosy and I enjoyed the interactivity of it.

Thank you to NetGalley for the arc.

An unusual book, but actually very informative and helpful!

Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.

I really enjoyed Goblin Mode Guide to Life, so much so that I bought it for myself and several for gifts. Part self help guide, part journal. Highly recommend

This is super cute and a lot of fun, however I definitely think you need a physical copy to get the full benefit, at least I personally would because it's interactive in places. I really loved how judgemental free it was about people who are a bit more chaotic in their homes and how it takes the slower and more relaxed approach to decluttering. The illustrations are also lovely throughout. I can absolutely see myself buying a physical copy of this. Thank you to Netgalley for a digital arc in exchange for my honest review, I really enjoyed this one.

I hadn't realized that this was more of a workbook where you were meant to evaluate your life and work to become your true Goblin self. I enjoyed a lot of the info in this book, but it did make me realize that I am not quite ready yet to embrace the full goblin life.

This book is epic. I am so ready to embrace my goblin life and will be recommending the same to all my friends who are sick of #girlboss hustle and grind. Go feral and enjoy every minute of it!

Fantastic lil self-help exercise which encourages the reader to embrace the goblin mode method of living life. Condemn perfection, embrace yourself in all your goblin glory. This is great if you're tired of regular self help books and are craving something with a little more whimsy.

Goblin mode calls to me. Unfortunately, I don’t pick up often enough. I’d love a single day just to do nothing and this book gives you permission for that. It shows you how to relax and embrace goblin mode.

I adore the Goblin Mode Guide to Life! It was a fun and inviting read that inspired me to embrace the feral side of myself. We live in a world that celebrates constantly being "on" and a workaholic, where it's always the girlboss, be in charge, work is the most important, etc. It was refreshing to read a book that reminds us to give ourselves the permission to relax, permit ourselves to have a soft life, and practice self care.

This sweet little self-help journal is the perfect fit for anyone who likes the idea of self-help but is exhausted by all the perfect-shiny or tough-love self-help out there. The Goblin Mode Guide is sort of the opposite. It asks you to slow down, be a little messy, and relax a little. The journal pages and activities are great exercises in reprioritization, and the illustrations are adorable. I think this would be especially helpful for any serious perfectionists who really want to learn to chill out, but as someone who's already a bit of a goblin, it still gave me things to think about.

This book is so fun! As someone who has definitely embraced "goblin mode" ways of living, I really appreciate this book. It's engaging, adorable, and would make a great gift or self-care stocking stuffer for any holidays, too.
