"Girls of the World: Doing More Than Ever Before" is an enchanting and inspiring book that celebrates the power and potential of girls worldwide. Linsey Davis, a renowned ABC News anchor and New York Times bestselling author, along with co-author Michael Tyler, have crafted a book that beautifully encourages children to utilize their voices, talents, and intelligence to make a positive impact on the world.

One of the standout features of this book is the delightful illustrations by Lucy Fleming. The vibrant and whimsical artwork adds an extra layer of charm to the narrative, making it engaging for young readers. The visuals perfectly complement the book's message of empowerment and equality.

At its core, this book serves as a heartwarming reminder that it's never too early to become aware of and speak up about important issues. It inspires girls of all ages to be strong, brave, and curious about the world around them, encouraging them to take their place in a challenging world with confidence.

The book's rhymes, penned by Linsey Davis and Michael Tyler, are not only motivating but also deeply resonant. They convey a powerful message that celebrates equality and fairness, making it an excellent read-aloud for children aged 4 to 8. The narrative, while primarily aimed at girls, also seeks to inspire boys, promoting the idea that everyone should work together for a more equitable and just world.

It concludes with a personal note from Linsey Davis, which adds a heartfelt touch to this remarkable book. In a time when diversity, equality, and female empowerment are of paramount importance, this book provides a compelling narrative that inspires young readers to embrace their potential and make a positive impact on the world.

This book is a celebration of girls, their incredible abilities, and their role in shaping a better world. With captivating illustrations, motivating rhymes, and a message of empowerment, this book is an inspirational read for children and adults alike, reinforcing the idea that girls can do more than ever before to create positive change.

I had concerns about this book and was wonderfully surprised. I’m now 65 and this is some of the same advice I’ve given my daughter, sisters, friends and granddaughter. It was a gentle, encouraging book. It’s sad to think there are still parts of this world where girls and women aren’t valued. The illustrations were cheerful and beautiful. The girls depicted in this book are well diversified and I loved that as well. This is a book I would give as a gift to great nieces and great granddaughters.

I was given an ARC to review from NetGalley and the publishers. Thank you. My review is unbiased.

Thanks NetGalley for the preview!

The illustrations are gorgeous! I loved the multiple instances of representation. From the children with disabilities and different backgrounds. I also really enjoyed the part about taking care of the planet.

Absolutely lovely read this was.

The cover initially captured my attention along with the title. The book in total was perfect as it wasn’t too long or short. It definitely got the point across of empowering girls and letting them know they can achieve what they want in life.

With someone with two little girls herself, this is something I would read to them to remind them of the power they hold. Would definitely recommend to others.

I received a copy of this eBook for an honest review from NetGalley.

I think this is a beautifully written and drawn picture book on the power of girls in this world. All they are, can become and are they have come from. I will enjoy reading this to my "kids" and seeing they're delight in the book.

Girls Of The World: doing more than ever before
By Lindsey Davis
A motivational book showing Girls that they have the ability , Heart, and compassion to change the world. The representative art work shows many cultures and many phenomenal women changing the world. It's inspiring and up lifting. The Drawings are a feature of their own which could be used in 4th grade to enhance presentations of historical figures. I could see this in a library or even lower elementary school classrooms inspiring girls.

I was absolutely taken with this lovely picture book! It is beautifully written, like a poem, with rhymes and a dynamic rythme, and words that feel so carefully chosen.

It has a beautiful—and very important— message, and I definitely think that this book should be read to every girl in the world… but also to little boys, too!

And, finally, the illustrations, created by Lucy Fleming are absolutely gorgeous, colourful, and perfectly give live to the text! The characters she illustrated for this book are all different—all ethnicities are pictured, some are in wheelchairs, some have short hair, and so on…

Definitely a book to pu on a kid's bookshelf!

What Great story. All lives and girls are represented. And it is a new chapter in being a girl. Can't wait to see what the future holds for my own girl

This children’s book is perfect to read for young girls. The pictures are colorful and the beautiful art is sweet and cute. The message is one of girl power and depicts diverse young girls in a variety of situations (environmental, political, athletic, industrious, etc.). I like the rhyming and the overall positive vibe.

Cute illustrations and rhyme about being a girl, but it didn’t feel like anything super special. I think this book would have been more important had it been published 10-15 years ago, but at the moment I’m not sure that this message is anything special, sorry! I would personally pass on reading this to my daughter because there isn’t any real weight to it

Great book to show young girls that their voices matter and that together they can do anything they set out to do.

This is such a good little story for all of our little girlies out there! It is all about how girls in the past got us to where we are today, that we should follow our dreams, and ultimately change the world through our creativity and actions. I loved the message, and the illustrations were so beautiful.
