I am obsessed with this book, oh my god. It was so beautiful and cathartic and raw—I felt for Alejandra the whole way through the book, her struggles with marriage and motherhood, her failed expectations and hope, her fear and her desperation. And then, I felt for Cathy and everyone who came before them, all of these women walking the same path, fighting the same demon (literal and figurative). At the core was Alejandra's story, but it wouldn't have meant quite as much without the women around her. Including little Catrina and her own horrors. This book was the perfect mix between genuine horror and a woman's story that felt as real as my own. Couldn't recommend enough.
