Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for a honest review! i’m familiar with Catherine Walsh’s writing and i love how she always manages to create characters that are messy and lovable at the same time, never failing to be entertaining. i love her ability to make funny and flirty dialogues and how her characters always found themselves in each other but also find their own purpose alone.
it truly felt like watching a cozy hallmark movie and i’m stupidly in love with Christian Fitzpatrick and how caring he is with Megan. both of their relationships with their families added such great meaning to the story, how Christian never seemed to actually love life itself and how Megan never seemed to be truly understood—proving that they make each other better along the way.
i also loved the little glances of Molly and Andrew throughout the book !!!! this was an easy, cozy, beautiful love story with great banter like a cup of hot chocolate on a rainy afternoon—with no third act breakup which i appreciate!

I loveeeee dual narrative rom come and thus one made me so happy! I really liked getting to know the inner thoughts of both characters, and the slow burn element of the book. The chemistry and emotions portrayed throughout the book felt exactly right and somehow, even felt authentic. I also love a bit of a holiday romance, so this was great for those cosy, seasonal reads where you just want to feel like it's a cold winter's night. I found myself almost hating Isaac, even though I had no idea what he had done for the majority of the time! I think that's testament to the well written characters and plot line.

This is a cozy holiday romance. I loved that it felt like an actual realistic set up to fake dating trope (the hesitation, and conversations around it), while I didn't feel like the actual reasoning were all that compelling, and wanted more from the build up. But, I enjoyed the main characters, and the plot. I enjoyed the first 50% more than the 2nd half of the book. I also think the author did a good job explaining past controlling relationships. Overall a fun holiday read.

Biggest gripe: SWEATERS DON'T TAKE A DAY OR TWO TO KNIT!!

Christian deserves all the hype for being a grumpy cinnamon roll perfection.

I don't wish to spoil the book but believe me when I say there's more where this is coming from.

𝘚𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘥 𝘐𝘯 open up with a bride on the run and a man who helps her escape.
Fast forward five years, they meet by chance in the city where both are reluctant to go back home for Christmas so cue a fake dating scheme to get the pressure of expectations off of them.

Megan is the infamous runaway bride that broke her town sweetheart's heart and Christian is somewhat of a reformed local troublemaker. A perfect match some might say.

I loved the way the author brings all her characters to life like they're people you've always known. It's magic.

Also, the writing is so funny. The humour is a bit dry and sarcastic but goes perfectly with the personality of the characters.

Now that the hot summer weather is over, I am READY for the holiday season! This one feels like the perfectly cheesy holiday Hallmark movie that you curl up on the couch to watch with a warm blanket and hot drink! With Megan and Christian going home for the holidays, they both need a fake relationship to stop their nosey family's questions. Witty, funny, and fast-paced, this one is perfect for getting into the holiday spirit!

This is the perfect book to curl up and read as the snow falls, or the winter sun shines, either way you wont want to budge til you turn the last page.

Fake dating and holiday dinners will make you laugh out loud at the exploits of this well written cast. But hold on to the tissues for the tears you may shed at the well written back stories as obstacles our characters face.

Grab this book, clear your evening and grab a glass of wine, Snowed In is perfect for diving into and getting into the Christmas spirit

Absolutely loved Snowed In! Catherine Walsh is one of my favorite authors, and this one did NOT disappoint! Megan left her hometown after being a runaway bride. She and Christian bump into each other at a bar and find out that each needs a fake relationship to survive their family holidays. But the chemistry between these two can't be denied. They are meant to be together! When they end up snowed in at a condo for Christmas, there is no telling what will happen! Read it - you will not be disappointed!

I really loved the first book in this series (Holiday Romance) so I was very excited to finally get Christian’s story. This book is a very cute not super spicy fake dating romance. I love how Catherine Walsh is able to add so much humour into her books without making it cringey. If you want a nice light read to get you into the holiday spirit you will love this one!

I'm a sucker for a fake dating trope. Because of that I've read a lot of books with such a theme. This one is so original and so so good!

We start with a scene right out of Runaway Bride. It's Megan's wedding day, only she's running the opposite way. All the way to Dublin where she starts a new life. New job. New home. Years later after being coerced into coming home for Christmas, she runs into Christian, a childhood friend from home, in a Dublin pub. Hes also going home for Christmas. He proposes they pretend to be dating when they go back. That way his family thinks he's finally settled down into a stable relationship and she doesn't have to face her past alone. Megan reluctantly agrees. What follows is the sexiest, sweetest, and absolutely swoon worthy Christmas romance of the year!

I adore Megan and Christian! Never being in a serious relationship, he assumes he just can't do it. But Megan makes him realize that nothing else worked out because he was just waiting on her. Megan faces her past head on and with Christians steady presence, she stands up for herself for the first time. Add in lovely family drama with Christians big loud family and Megan's mother and brother, and you have the perfect holiday romance. This is second in a "series", but you truly don't have to read the first to completely get into this one. And it's sexy. Did I mention the sexy?!? Let's just say snowy hot tub sexy time. 😍 I loved this book so so much! As someone who isn't normally super into holiday reads, this is my absolute favorite Christmas read probably ever!

Christian is tired of being the only single person in his family during the holidays. Megan ran-away from her fiancé, town and family 5 years ago and is not looking forward to finally having to go back. The proposal: fake dating for Christmas to get their families off their backs.

🎄Wow, this was such a fun, sweet read! The chemistry between Megan and Christian was so solid and tangible from the very beginning. Christian was a great guy and supported Megan right at the start of the book. There was no miscommunication in this book, and definitely no third act breakup. It was so refreshing! The side characters were amazing and that proposal was both hilarious and swoon worthy!

There is definitely spice in this book, it is not a closed door romance. Spice: 🌶️

I would 100% recommend this holiday romance! I can’t wait to read more books from Catherine Walsh. 📚

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Tropes: runaway bride, fake relationship, holiday romance, terms & conditions, he falls first, protective MMC, slow burn, no 3rd act breakup, small town

I read this not realising it was part of a series but apart from one line that made me go ‘huh?’ I don’t think you need to have read the previous book, I will now though,
I liked the main characters and the story was good, it’s got a lovely Christmassy feel and not too cliched.

This book was so much fun and I am so glad I got the opportunity to read this before it releases on November 1!! It had all the fun, festive, snuggly holiday feels that you want from a winter romance. Plus the Irish setting was an extra bonus.

This book starts with a scene right out of Runaway Bride and Megan's quirky, fun, spunky, girls-girl personality totally shines. I was rooting for her immediately. Christian has this sexy, quick-whit that is so easy to fall for. Both Megan and Christian are dreading going home for Christmas- for different reasons. After a chance run in at a pub, they agree to go home as each others dates to make it easier on both of them. But as they spend more time together and battle all the struggles of being home for the holidays together- they realize that it might not be so fake after all.

There was some fake-dating, forced proximity and grumpy-sunshine vibes that are just so good. There were some points where I lost track of who was speaking and had to reread to understand the conversations but overall I really enjoyed this book. If you want a fun, easy rom-com to get you into the holiday spirit- THIS IS YOUR BOOK! :)

❤️ on the steam meter- a couple detailed sexy scenes (hot tub anyone??)

The way i loved this book! All the stars from me! It's exactly what i want out of a romcom. This is my third from Catherine Walsh and it is my favorite so far. The witty banter is just top notch. From someone who wishes they were super witty, these characters quips back and forth had me LOLing.

After leaving her high school sweetheart at the alter on their wedding day, years later Megan is set to return back home for Christmas to see her family and finally confront the past. So bumping into Christian (also a guy from her hometown) in a Dublin pub, weeks before Christmas, conveniently manifests itself into a fake relationship pact. After some heeing and hawing, they both agree to be star-crossed lovers for the two weeks where they both are back home for the holidays. What could go wrong?!

Idk why but I just really connected with these characters. They were relatable, laid-back, and self-assured. I also thought everything they dealt with as far as their past and what they had to overcome was very believable and authentic.

Read if you love:
-fake dating
-Ireland setting during Christmas
-forced proximity
-witty banter
-runaway bride

Definitely pick this one up to read this holiday season! It got me so excited for family, Christmas, and hopefully some snow! OUT NOV 1st!

A delightful Christmas read! Makes you want to curl up with a hot chocolate and finish it in one go.

Thank you @netgalley and @bookouture for an ARC of the book! This comes out on November 1st!

First of all it serves so many favourite tropes: fake dating, closed proximity, romantic small town Irish setting and childhood acquaintances turned to lovers! It is everything you would enjoy in a cozy Christmas book!

What I especially liked that I expected some cliches in the book around the Christmas setting and faking part but rather the focus was on Megan and Christian’s witty yet friendly bond, their relationship with their families and how beautifully they find happiness in each other without missing out on any chemistry! Being snowed in at a romantic cottage overnight helped, of course!

This is was a kind of follow up to Holiday Romance (story of Andrew and Molly) whose relationship is also shown in this book! Though this was a first book for me by Catherine but I do see myself happy to read others from the author!

Recommended if you are looking for a cozy Christmas magic romance that has no third act breakup cliches!

The storyline was a cute idea, the fake dating trope. Lots of cozy Christmas vibes!

The two main characters were entertaining and had good character growth.
However, the side characters were focused on a little too much — too many names and situations to keep up with. That, along with the main character’s history preceding the book, took away from the book to me.

I loved the Christmas theme — it has me ready for the holiday season, and has me wanting to read more Christmas themed books ahead of time!

Overall, I would give this book 2.5-3 stars.

This was a super cute winter romcom. Megan and Christian are both dreading returning home for the holidays. Megan doesn't want to because she left her fiance at the alter years ago and the town hates her and Christian because he's alone and his family is all couples up. They decided to fake date but you know how this one goes.

I loved the story and the chemistry between the main characters! Their banter was cute and funny. Loved the winter theme as well!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this arc in exchange for an honest!

Catherine Walsh did it again! I loved this one. I read it in two days (only because I had to go to bed to work the next day). Megan and Christian's story was adorable (there was some heat which was great too). I loved their fake dating scheme for the holidays and this was the perfect follow up to Holiday Romance (which I also loved). I liked that though this one had similar vibes, it was still different trope and plot wise. I was excited to see how Megan stood up for herself against her ex. I LOLed when reading this at times, which is always a win.

Looking forward to whoever is next!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC!

Snowed in is a fake dating / friends to lovers lovers based around the Christmas holidays in Ireland.

After Meg ditch’s her hometown and her fiancé she runs into an old school acquaintance who has just moved to her small town. They hadn’t seen each other in 5 years and both were unhappily heading home for the holidays. Which is where they come up with a plan to be each others backup. Unknowingly the plan would fail and they would fall in love.

This book was the perfect book to get you into the Christmas spirit, it was full of love, laughter and festive spirit. I so enjoyed being in this world and I hope I find a man like Christian!

There’s some spice too, which is always pleasant but what I mostly enjoyed about this book was the author really made you fall in love with the characters. The banter between the two main characters is everything I personally look for in a book. So thank you for that.

Overall, this book was just brilliant and I cannot wait for more Christmas books from this author.
Maybe that could be their thing, a Christmas book writer!

Five years after becoming a runaway bride, Megan runs into her former schoolmate, Christian (brother of Andrew from 𝘏𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘙𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦) in a Dublin pub. Both are dreading heading home to their small town for the holidays, and decide to form a fake relationship in order to buffer each other from any unwanted/undesired attention while back at home.

This book was hilarious while also being so cute. Christian and Megan’s banter, with each other, and with their families, was so much fun. I loved how well they could communicate, while also taking the piss out of each other.

I loved the setting (Ireland 💚) and the cabin (hot tub!) and the snow. And now I want every side character to have their own book!

Seriously, these books need to be on your holiday TBR list!
