A lovely read .It was so nice being back in Nightingale square meeting old characters as well as some new ones who really, made this a magical story. I loved the addition of the two furry friends Monty and Queenie who bought so much fun to the novel .Full of warmth, charm and festive cheer just what's needed and what we get from Heidi's Christmas books. I loved it

Holly finds herself house-sitting in Nightingale Square, using the time to contemplate her newly single status and uncertain career path. Her quiet plans take an unexpected turn when she forms a fast friendship with May, an older lady, and her dapper Dachshund Monty during early morning walks. The introduction of Bear and his charming rescue dog Queenie at the local pub adds an intriguing layer to Holly's stay. As the community comes together for festive celebrations, Holly must grapple with life decisions amid the distractions of newfound friendships and unexpected connections. This heartwarming tale captures the essence of community, love, and the joy of unexpected holiday surprises, making it a delightful and cozy Christmas read

One word… Fantastic!

Honestly this book is one of the best books I have read! It has everything you want in a good book. I am a huge fan of this authors books and it just feels really cosy and warming the way the author includes previous characters from her previous books. Also this book is set in the location that we have fell in love with, the beautiful Nightingale Square.

The characters in this I absolutely adored! Not many books I could say I have lived every character, but this book I really did! I just wish I lived there and was part of the community and had friendships with them.

I absolutely loved the festive feel in this book, it made me feel so excited for Christmas and I do believe this will be one of the best Christmas books out this year! Perfect winter reading to curl up and be cosy reading.

It would be a dream come true to have a follow up book for this, I would love to find out whats next for these characters and I for sure know that I will definitely find out in the author’s next releases.

This is so good that I read it in one day. A wonderful Christmas story about two women who meet during difficult times of their lives..They become the best of friends and both decide to help with the Nightingale Square Christmas production. This book has everything family, friendships, community spirit and a little romance. I highly recommend that you read it.

This latest Nightingale Square story is the 5th in the series, but can be read as a standalone. I have to say what a treat it was to meet some lovely warm new characters and to catch up with the old ones, who have come to feel like friends now.
Newly divorced Holly is the main character that is with the exception of the two quirky dogs, Monty and Queenie who are unforgettable.
When Holly is offered to house sit for her friends Mark and Neil in Nightingale Square, Holly decides to take the opportunity to hanker down and rethink her life. This is all well and good in theory but the residents have other ideas and she is soon caught up with the festivities the community are involved with. Meeting May brings colour, friendship and joy into Holly’s life as May is a breath of fresh air. Mays son Bear stirs forgotten passion and romance in Holly that comes as a complete surprise.
This gorgeous festive story brought sparkle and warmth in abundance and I thought its book cover is perfect for the story.

My thanks to Net Galley and Simon & Schuster for the ARC.

I love how Heidi Swain's novels are multilayered and mix a heartwarming story with some more complex issues.
This is a festive book about community, friendship and choosing what to do with your life.
I loved the likeable and well rounded characters and the sense of being a community.
A well written and compelling story
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for a review.

Loved this, and it certainly did give me a festive feeling! I think I've read one of the Nightingale Square series as I recognised some of the characters. I'm going back to find the ones I haven't read yet!

I really enjoyed this latest book from Heidi Swain which comes complete with lashings of Christmas cheer. Such a lovely book featuring Holly who has moved to nightingale square for Christmas. Really cute story with adorable dogs, a lovely community feel and a HEA. And now I find out it’s in a series I’ll need to go back and read the rest!

Christmas back on Nightingale Square, what a festive treat!
When Holly comes to house sit for friends on Nightingale square she has fallen out of love with her work and lost her mojo for life. When a chance meeting with May and her little dog Monty brings more happiness to her life than Holly can imagine .
Then she meets Bear and his dog Queenie her life takes another massive turn.
Taking us back to the beautiful beach town of Whybridge and a few familiar faces we follow the life’s of Holly and Bear.
A beautiful story with characters old and new Christmas in Nightingale Square is definitely the place to be.
Thanks you NetGalley and Simon and Schuster Uk for a chance to read an ARC.

Is it even Christmas without a Heidi Swain story to cosy down with?

The answer is no, and thankfully we’re in luck because this one is a real treat.

I thoroughly enjoyed being back among the Nightingale Square residents and catching up with the goings on at the Gro-Well and The Chapel. There was even a cameo from some familiar Wynmouth faces!

Holly, Bear, May, Queenie and Monty were fabulous new additions to the wonderful cast. I was so invested in their story I felt I could have kept reading about them forever. Everything I have come to expect from Swain’s novel was present; close communities, lush locations and feel good friendships.

If you’re looking for that festive feeling, grab this book and immerse yourself in the cosiest Christmas.

Holly's had a bad year, turns out her husband was no longer on the same page as her so he's moved out with a new partner and the divorce is finalised. The house is sold and she has nowhere to go...except back to her parents who are less than enthusiastic about her return. Worst of all, her passion for her freelance job is gone, if she keeps turning down work she'll never get a mortgage for a new place. It's set to be a very unmerry Christmas.

Then a glimmer appears, her friend Neill and his husband are going away for a few months and need a house-sitter for their place in Nightingale Square. This could be just what Holly needs, avoid the parents and their disapproval, relax, recharge, fester on the couch and work out what on earth her next move is, while ignoring all the neighbours...shame no one told the neighbours that....

Heidi Swain books are the equivalent of a big cosy blanket, a mug of hot chocolate and a massive hug, you just know by the end of it you're going to be smiling. It was a welcome return to Nightingale Square and all the gang, happy to hear that Freddie Fanshawe is still up to mischief. The new additions in this book were great too, loved Holly and Bear but the absolute show-stealers had to be May, Monty and Queenie. I hope this isn't the last we'll hear of them!

Also posted to Goodreads but unable to link account.

I'm so happy we're back in Nightingale square! This series has been so lovely and it's just fab to be able to not only meet new characters but get little snippets of what the others are at as well.
I really enjoyed Holly and Bears story and of course Queenie and Monty were the stars of the show in this one!

So fabulous!

A gem of a book, a very well deserved five stars from me.
A fantastic book I didn’t want to end. The book draws the reader in from the beginning and real life is put on hold.
Nightingale square is the setting of this book, my favourite location of Heidi swains books. Book five of the series but a standalone book . I would recommend that if you haven’t read the previous books, do your in for a treat !
Exciting new Characters, Holly, May and Bear plus their canine friends Queenie and Monty which come alive to the reader , the reader becomes invested in their stories .
Nightingale Square is the most magical place and it was lovely to catch up with the old community!
This was a lovely festive read which I would highly recommend, If I could give this book more than five stars I would . I loved it
Thank you to Netgalley, Simon and Schuster and Heidi Swain for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

Heidi Swain writes the very best Christmas books. I always look forward to reading her books, especially the ones that are part of a series. This book takes us back to Nightingale Square. It can be read as a standalone novel, but the previous books are so good that I suggest that you read them all.
In this book we catch up with the residents of Nightingale Square and are introduced to some new characters. Mary, one of the new characters is fabulous.
This book is a fantastic read, with a real sense of community. It is very festive, although I read it on an unseasonably warm Autumn day, I instantly craved mince pies and hot chocolate.
This is a such a heartwarming and feel-good read. I couldn't stop reading, but at the same time I was sad to finish the book. I can't wait to read Heidi's next book and hope that we get to revisit Nightingale Square very soon.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.

4.5 (rtc)
I’d like to thank NetGalley and Simon & Schuster for approving me for an ARC of this book. After enjoying Heidi’s previous books I was excited to start this one. Once again my lovely friend, Bex, buddy read this with me.

❄️Set in the idyllic community of Nightingale Square, this is the perfect story to cosy up with as the darker nights draw closer.

⛪At the centre of all of Heidi’s books is a strong sense of community. I love the comradery and banding together that this book showed. Spending time with the residents of Nightingale Square is like being enveloped in a warm hug!

🎁Whilst I did enjoy the romance between Holly and Bear I have to say that I loved May even more. She was a fascinating character who had me giggling on many occasions, especially when she was meddling.

🐕But the true stars of the show were Queenie and Monty. This lovable duo stole a piece of my heart and I would like to know when Tall Tales from Small Dogs is hitting our shelves?

⭐This was another brilliant read from Heidi Swain. Filled with festive spirit and a lot of love, this is the perfect escapist read!

I absolutely love Heidi Swain and her style of writing. This is one of my favourite series of books, but for anyone who hasn't read any(you absolutely must) they can be read as stand alone books. I love returning to Nightingale Square to catch up with residents old & new. The biggest & only downside to this book was that it had to end. I heartily recommend this book & series.

I love these stories about Nightingale Square and the people who live in and around it. As each book is a complete story, it does not matter if they are read out of sequence, but for the full effect it is better to start at the beginning.
This story centres on Holly, who has recently lost her direction in life after her divorce. Her friends ask her to house sit for them in Nightingale Square and she takes the opportunity to think about the direction she wants to take in life.
There is no chance of being lonely, as quickly she makes new friends and becomes involved in community events.
The characters are amazing., especially the two canine comrades, Monty and Queenie. It was so very easy to become involved with the events and people in this book that it was a disappointment when I finished it.

I think Nightingale Square has to be my favourite Heidi Swain setting, so I was so excited to be visiting again this Christmas! It’s a wonderful community and whenever I now visit Norwich I imagine the Grow Well crew are around me!
Holly was a fantastic new character, I liked her desire to move to the square and to give herself a break from her old life and some time to concentrate on what she wants to do in her future. As always, despite her desire to keep herself to herself she is soon drawn into the lovely community and finds herself some new friends in the process.
May is simply adorable, the perfect breath of fresh air for Holly! Monty is just so cute and I loved that he was as flamboyantly dressed as his quirky owner!
And Bear, well he strode into the story and totally stole my heart! (Sorry Finn!) And I would have happily driven off into the sunset in his horse box home!
A beautiful story about friendship and taking a chance on a new start, so uplifting to see Holly make connections and to realise that she can achieve her dreams.
A gorgeous slow burn love story, some gorgeous dog characters and an ending that made me sigh with pleasure, this book definitely gave me all the feels! ❤️

Nightingale Square is definitely my favourite destination.
Holly house sits for her friends. She is newly divorced and has become disillusioned with her job. She intends to shut herself away and clear her head.
Unfortunately for Holly, Lisa doesn't get the memo and tries to rope her in to help out at The Chapel involving the community.
A chance encounter with May soon has Holly involved with the community project.
There is also love in the air.
I loved all the new characters, especially May. They really bond, and it was delightful how their relationship developed. Always love when animals are part of the story, Queenie and Monty were a great addition.
It was also lovely to catch up with some of the regular characters of Nightingale Square.
Heidi's fans will absolutely adore this fabulous book.
Thanks to Netgalley and Simon and Schuster UK for the ARC in return for an honest review.
