That Festive Feeling is the perfect book to curl up with as the nights drawn in and the weather turns colder. After her divorce and a work related crisis of conscience, Holly finds herself housesitting for friends in the beautiful Nightingale Square, which is home to a welcoming community of new friends. Holly also meets May, a retired actress who still has a great zest for life.

The book follows Holly and May and all their friends as they seek to ramp up their community Christmas performance. Can May bring some razamatazz to proceedings, and will Holly find a new work passion?

Oh I loved this. I hadn’t realised that it is part of a series but it really didn’t matter. A lovely, comfy, festive, feel good read that has me all excited for Christmas in October 🎄

Full of festive fabulousness and the magic that comes with a brilliantly written novel by Heidi Swain.

Beautiful characters, a lovely setting and the promise of romance set at Christmas. As a reader you are drawn into the characters and the plot. Magnificent.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a lovely festive read.
With the lovely Holly who then becomes friends with may and her dog monty and a lovely man called bear who is helping out in nightingale Square.
She was determined not to mingle with neighbours and just spend time on her own. But this is not quite what happened she became fully immersed lol.

I loved this trip back to nightingale Square.

I love Heidi Swain's books and her Christmas ones are my first choice for festive reading.
Returning to Nightingale Square, we get to catch up with many old friends and meet the new ones this story is based around.
This is a book that gives you a warm hug.

Well, I'm not usually one to mention Christmas before Halloween, but I've certainly got That Festive Feeling & can declare that I'm happy to have started early this year 🤭

I love reading Heidi's books because you know you'll be getting to catch up with old friends (& this one more than ticks that box) as well as making new ones.

That Festive Feeling has some of my favourite elements: found family & called out miscommunication. On top of that there are cuddly canine companions (say that fast 3 times after a gin or two), an FMC who is refreshingly normal & a handsome, rugged MMC who gets a little flustered occasionally. As well as our favourites from Nightingale Square we have the glorious addition of May Maddison, who was so easy to picture in all her rainbow glory.

If you love Heidi already, you'll know what to expect, if you haven't read her books before then dive in, this cosy, festive romance is a great place to start (then you can go back & officially meet everyone).

Now, how long do I have to wait to put my tree up?

I could not put this book down. I loved it. It’s so good to be back in the square again, it’s like visiting a well loved place. Holly us just fab and from the moment we’re introduced to Bear I was rooting for them to be an item. All characters were loveable especially May, Monty and Queenie. 5 stars doesn’t seem enough for this book.

Firstly I would like to thank Netgallery and Simon and Schuster for this arc of Festive Feeling.

If you are looking for a feel good, warm and comfort read look no further as you are right on the money.

Festive feeling is about Holly who is house sitting for her friends after she had to leave her previous residence. While doing so she meets May and Monty, Monty being a fur baby. After joining May and Month of their regular walks Holly meets a handsome new stranger and his little pooch Queenie…..

Hollys progression throughout the book is inspiring, she embraces the life she has with the help of her new friends. She is open and starting to accept the love she truly deserves.

This book is a part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

I smiled through this entire book and I cannot wait to see what Heidi brings us next. I am definitely in the Christmas spirit.

It was so good to be back in Nightingale Square with all the lovely residents that I adore hanging out with.
I really enjoyed getting to know Holly and Bear and hearing their stories.
I also loved getting to know the fabulous May, Monty and Queenie - I hope we see lots more of all of them in the future.
As always, Heidi has created amazing, lovable characters and made Nightingale Square and its surroundings even more fantastic than they already were.

Another delightful book in the Nightingale Square series by Heidi Swain. It was good to read about characters previously met but the new characters made the book very special. Having said that, this book could be read standalone but better if read after the previous books in the series. The quirky setting and characters, including dogs, made the build up to a pantomime and a romance an entertaining story. The bonus for me was that having to rest an injured foot, I was able to sit and read this book without having to put it down.

I am a huge fan of Heidi Swain, so this book was such a treat to read, packed with lots of festive feel good feelings and a romance too. It's a stand-alone book, but can also be read within a series of books written by Heidi Swain.

The book takes us back to to Nightingale Square, where newly divorced and homeless Holly, is house sitting for friends over the Christmas period. A chance meeting with an eccentric lady called May, while walking around the lake one morning, changes both their lives as they throw themselves into helping the community project called "The Chapel" and the forthcoming Christmas panto.

I really enjoyed this book, I had to ration my reading of it so that I could enjoy it for longer. A lovely book that I highly recommend.

I am mad I know, only just dipping my toes into October and I have already caved in and read my first Christmas book of 2023 but it was impossible to resist when it is a Heidi Swain novel. That Festive Feeling is the title of this years festive novel by this author and the cover is stunning using my favourite winter colours of green gold and white to create a soft chilly comforting vibe which I hoped would absorb through into the storyline inside.

We meet newly divorced Holly who is so easy to relate to, after finding herself alone and thinking ahead to the next step of where her life goes from here, where does she live and a troubling problem of what does she do now it seems her love of her job has lost its excitement. Luckily her friends who live in Nightingale square offer her a bit of breathing space house sitting for them whilst they are away over Christmas. But the peace and tranquillity she was hoping for to get her head together never seemed to be an option as she is soon pulled into many welcoming arms!

We are reunited with many much-loved characters from the Nightingale Square which makes us as the reader feel as though we are being welcomed home but if you haven’t read any of the others not to worry as this can easily be read as a standalone.

As well as reuniting with past characters and meeting the lovely Holly we also have the gorgeous Bear to provide a little bit of love in the air and also the lovely May and her wonderfully dressed dog Monty and they all come together to make this a thoroughly enjoyable cosy winter read.

The author has really covered the topic of living alone after divorce and loss well in the book tackling those struggles of finding where you fit now your alone and learning to make decisions on your own again after so long of making decisions together. So often after separation it feels like everything else around you is about to come crumbling down and thanks to those around Holly they open up her eyes to different options available to her as well as giving her a big helping of support which we know is always plentiful in Heidi Swain novels, oh how I would love to crawl into her written worlds.

There is a wonderful little sprinkling of festivity with this being set around Christmas time and this has been a fabulous start to my Festive reading, I knew Heidi Swain wouldn’t let me down!

Another wonderful festive read from Heidi Swain. That Feative Feeling sees us returning to Nightingale Square, revisiting old favourite characters and meeting new in Holly, May and Bear.

Holly is house sitting for Nightingale Square residents Neil and Mark, wanting to hide away to rethink her life. However, when she meets May and her lovely dachshund Monty, she finds a friendship she didn't know she needed.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Heidi Swain read without a love interest, and Bear is the perfect addition, providing a beautiful slow burn love story.

I loved the novel living arrangements suggested (along with references to other stories in Heidi's back catalogue!), and as usual the animal characters were fantastic. A wonderful festive read.

Well, after reading this book I’m ready to get my tree up and wrap presents. What a lovely Christmassy book made even more special with a return trip to Nightingale Square. I love how Heidi Swain links all her books together it’s so clever.
Holly is ready to hide herself away and work out what to do next with her life but the residents of Nightingale Square arent going to let that happen and after a chance meeting with Monty an energetic dachshund and his owner May they bring colour into her life. When she meets Bear and Queenie who change her outlook on life. Has she finally found her tribe?
I’ve been a Heidi Swain fan since her first book and that is never going to change with her likeable characters especially the dogs. A festive treat for all
