Melody Carlson books are always packed with fun themes and characters. Just for the Summer doesn't disappoint. While there were a few moments that were a bit fast, it is a fiction romance and that is to be expected. Thank you for the arc of this NetGalley and Revell!

The plot on this book is what drew me in, I love a good character swap! I also felt like the environments and details were really thought out and the characters each matched them very well!

With that, I did feel like there wasn’t a ton of depth to the characters, it sort of felt like some things were rushed to get to the next point. I found a connection with Ginny, but Jacqueline was definitely a brat (which I believe is how it is meant to be portrayed), but I wish there was more groveling for her.

I also really liked the MCs HEA together, but again I felt like the end was rushed into the last chapter. I wish there would’ve been an epilogue with more on their futures!

Overall, this was a cute book and I would probably recommend for someone who wanted a quick, light read!

Thank you to NetGalley for this advanced copy!

This was a quick read. I loved the twist on the switch place trope. Good characters fun plot. It was a good palette cleanser but Alamo made you reflect a little.

This had such potential from the story line. It just fell flat for me. I felt like Jacquelyn was a spoiled brat and Ginny was a pushover. The maturity level of Jacquline was so off putting. Ginny was too sweet which made her a people pleaser to her detriment of voicing what she wanted. This was a quick read but I still found myself skimming. Thank you to NetGalley for this advanced copy, I’m leaving my review voluntarily.
