Miigweetch NetGalley and Gnome Road Publishing for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own. =

Readers embark on a delightful journey through the sea's toothy wonders. to explore the mouths of Wolffish, penguins, sea kraits, and more, discovering surprising facts and jaw-dropping trivia about these smiley sea creatures, including one with over 750,000 'teeth' that's sure to leave readers astonished! I especially liked the slightly 'weird' art style.

I recommend this book to readers who like to learn animal facts or have an interest in dentistry.

What a fun way to learn about teeth!

Kelso introduces a variety of sea creatures, many of them unfamiliar. The reader gets to explore their dietary habits, and more. It's pretty ASTOUNDING just how many teeth some of these critters possess!

This is a great book for children who have lost teeth, will lose teeth in the future, or just want to learn some cool information that they didn’t know before. I read this book with my niece and nephew, and we all learned something new. I have a feeling that I’ll be asked to read this book to them more than once.

Thank you to NetGalley and Gnome Road Publishing for allowing me to read an ARC of this book. #NetGalley #SeaSmiles

Love the meaning of this book. My son enjoyed it as he’s just lost two of his teeth. Really shows that you don’t have to be afraid of what you look like. Very cute storyline. And great illustrations. Can’t wait to read more from the author!

What a silly way to explore teeth with children who are in the process of losing theirs. Learning about the teeth of animals, and how everyone is different, can help show children not only the importance of their own teeth, but also that it’s ok to be different

My daughter thought it was a cute funny story. It was a great read especially about something a child is sometimes scared of.

This is a didactic and funny story. I loved the illustrations, they have bright and appealing colors. It has everything to make children happy.

This book had some really interesting facts about teeth in different animals. The conversation bubbles between the animals did not tell a story as much as needed for a read aloud type of book, so this books ends up being more appropriate for an independent reader. While cute, it definitely was not a favorite that will be read frequently.

I received an electronic copy of this book from the LibraryThing Early Reviewers program and NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

I love Bonnie Kelso’s STEM book for kids. I always learn something new, creating wonderful quality time with my little one with lots of questions, giggles and fun.

This time, we learn about teeth. Not just human teeth, but all sorts of different kinds of teeth. The story introduces scientific dental terms, which are phonetically spelled and defined in simple ways that even Kindergarteners can understand. And yet this book is adorably playful, funny and relatable for every primary child starting to lose their baby teeth and constantly asks, why?

Gnome Publishing has great resources for teachers and parents on their website that let you dig deeper into the topic and can be used for early research projects.

All in all, this book is yet again a well-rounded and valuable resource for little scientists.

What an adorable book packed with fun and interesting facts! As a teacher, it’s always a big deal when someone in our classroom loses a tooth. It becomes the topic of discussion that gets brought up the rest of the day. I can confidently say that my students would be filled with giggles and wonder as they learn about each new sea animal and their teeth in this book, Sea Smiles. While informative, it’s also an easier read that will surely spark discussion. The illustrations are spectacular- thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this advanced copy!

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for allowing me to read and review this book before publication.

This book is adorable and sweet. I loved the different personalities of the varying animals and their varying teeth. Connecting such a big milestone in a child's life to that of sea creatures was clever and made this a very interesting read.

As each animals is introduced, they talk about their type of teeth, how many they have, and how they lose and gain teeth. A lot of children's books miss out on the opportunity to make books more than just a lesson of the story. My toddler is in the why stage and likes explanations. The little educational descriptions of the animals and their teeth on each page helps grown ups explain things to our little readers.

Your child doesn't have to have lost any teeth to read this book for it to catch their attention and keep them interested. Actually, I feel that this is perfect for them to read BEFORE they lose their own teeth, so they understand what's going to happen when their older and to make it something fun to look forward to. Then they can come back to this book when they lose their first tooth to see how the animals do it.

Excellent book. I can't wait to read more by this author.

My kids and I really enjoyed this book. My daughter is in the process of currently loosing teeth so this book was a cute educational book to tell her about the teeth. I loved that she was able to learn about her teeth and many sea animals teeth as well. She loved the Wolffish and the many other friends we got to meet in this book!

I will be buying this book for my kids as soon as we can and will recommend this book to any parents that have littles that love cool facts about sea animals or maybe nervous to loose their teeth as its a fun story of teeth.

I had no idea that teeth could be so different! When a human child is facing the loss of a teeth, she has a conversation with several ocean animals about what their teeth are like. The pictures are really cute the but story is hilarious. I absolutely loved this.
Thanks so much to NetGalley for letting me read this.
