This is an informative kids book about tooth. Read it with your kids and explain to them.

🦷 baby have 20 teeths, meanwhile adult have 32 permanent teeths.

Kids can explore the weird and wonderful world of sea animal teeth through the eyes of young child who has just lost a tooth of their own.

With the cute illustration and simple fact, kids will learn and having fun with this.

This is a fantastic book for kids that brings together science, humor, and heart to help kinds feel a bit more comfortable after losing teeth. The art is clean and charming and helped bring the various characters to life and educate about their teeth without being potentially scary for little ones. (Have you ever seen inside the mouth of a penguin?)

My daughter recently had to have a tooth pulled and while she’s put on a brave face it’s definitely affecting her. We read the book together and discussed the scientific terms for teeth and the different animals and how their teeth(or lack thereof) worked. We were able to use the book to discuss that everyone loses their teeth at different times in different ways and I think it helped her to feel a bit less sad about the situation she’s in. I definitely recommend this book for any parents that are looking to teach their kid about sea animals, their teeth, and that losing teeth is a natural part of life.

I received an electronic ARC from Gnome Road Publishing through NetGalley.
Readers meet a human child who has lost several teeth. They feel self conscious until they meet several sea creatures who share what their teeth are like. Kelso slips in informative text throughout the story to help readers learn about teeth and how they form. The illustrations capture the creatures and how they feel. I like that several are also self conscious about their mouths. It helps this child connect.

What a fun book and I learned quite a bit. Had no idea there was so much to learn about teeth and animal’s teeth. Really enjoyed this. It is a great book for a child or an adult. Magnificent illustrations. This book will just make you smile, while you learn. I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Highly recommend.

Losing a tooth is scary, but it's also a good time to learn about our teeth and the kinds of teeth the beings that populate the seas have. Fun with learning!
The illustrations by the author are fun, detailed, brilliant, and absolutely delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Gnome Road Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!
