I love small town Christmas romances so was really excited about this book. I loved Logan and he was so charming, thoughtful and adorable. I wanted to really like Gwen but I thought all she did was complain through the entire book and although I understand how horrible her mom was, I really got sick of all the complaining after I kept reading about it for most of the book. Apart from that, I enjoyed the small town, fake dating, opposite attract trope.
Thank you NetGalley and Blue Crow Books for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

Perfectionist extraordinaire Gwen Griffin finds herself in a Christmas chaos of her own making. As her sister's wedding approaches in the tiny hometown of Jasmine Falls, South Carolina, Gwen is determined to ensure a flawless celebration. The only problem? Gwen needs a date, and her romantic track record in the small town is less than stellar.
Running her café with expertise, Gwen decides on a pragmatic approach—find a plus-one, even if it means resorting to a fake date. Enter Logan Fyfe, the charming and gorgeous guy next door, who happens to be a hot Scottish billionaire. With his limited stay in town, Logan seems like the perfect candidate to play the role of Gwen's date. The plan to pretend to date Logan appears foolproof until Gwen discovers that beneath Logan's devilish smirk and delicious brogue lies a big-hearted man who sees Gwen for who she truly is. As the wedding draws near, Gwen finds herself unable to fake her feelings any longer. Logan's presence and genuine affection break through her defences, making her realize that maybe, just maybe, she is enough just the way she is.
It explores the delightful dynamics of opposites attracting and the magic of holiday romance. With humour, warmth, and a touch of festive chaos, Lucy Day crafts a tale of authenticity, self-discovery, and the risk of opening one's heart during the most wonderful time of the year.

Thank you Netgalley for the arc.
As one who has been prone to overthinking, and who enjoys a good accent, this book was relatable. The MC is a small town baker and the love interest is as opposite as they get. Kinda fun to daydream about a rich Scot coming along and falling in love.

I tried, but at 59% of the book, I think it's safe to say it doesn't work for me. When done right, instalove can be super. This was not it. Story was very one note, flat and the chemistry felt forced.

Very cute book, Holliday romcom are the most funny 😁
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for this copy 💕✨

When the holiday spirit collides with small-town charm, delivering a heartwarming romantic comedy that will leave you with a grin.
The chemistry between Gwen and Logan is not just palpable but downright electric, creating moments of laughter and warmth that resonate throughout the story. The author skillfully weaves a tale of opposites attracting, reminding us that love often comes when and where we least expect it.
What makes this truly shine is its ability to blend sweet romance with genuine, relatable characters.

If you're anything like me, you love those sappy Hallmark Christmas movies. You know- the ones with a small town, an outsider, a bakery, and mistletoe. With that said, you'll love One Sweet Holiday! I could not have asked for a better novelized Hallmark-style movie. Gwen was completely relatable as I identified with her on so many things. Such a sweet romantic comedy for the holiday season.

I received a complimentary copy of this book via Netgalley. Opinions expressed in this review are my own
It was a fun romance with entertaining secondary stories thrown in. I fell in love with Logan right away, which is a big plus with any rom-con.
Great story plus fun characters equals a must-read, in my opinion

I thought this was a super sweet Christmas novel! I loved the two MCs and thought their relationship was super fun. I'm always a sucker for a needs-a-wedding-date trope, and this one was perfect! It was such a fun book to curl up with over the holidays!

Thanks to Net Galley for this ARC. One Sweet Holiday is a small town romance by Lucy Day. The characters are the best part of this book. I definitely pulled for Gwen and Logan. This book is part of the trend of Scottish themed romance. It's nice to see a mid sized heroine whose weight is not the reason for her insecurity. Very cute.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC copy, these are my honest opinions.
Gwen and Logan! Gwen’s insecurities and fears were so well written and realistic. This shows how hard it can be to have that voice in your head that is so negative. Logan dealing with his family drama and just wanting an escape is so real! Their love story, Logan just wanting to nurture and help Gwen was adorable. Gwen wanting to have fun around the Holidays so that Logan could have a good time even when it was hard for her was just chef’s kiss 🤌. I could read so much more of these! The characters weee fleshed out so good, story so good, plenty of romantic moments without the need for spice.

This is another cute little silly holiday romance that is charming, and delightful in every way. The cherry on top being that I could relate to Gwen in so many ways and really felt her struggle and understood her emotions. Throw in a hot Scot--my goodness, I'm out here hurting my own feelings reading this book, wishing it was me lol.
The plot overall was predictable, but not in a bad way. I love the fact that there was no third act break-up, which I absolutely hate. The chemistry between Logan and Gwen was spectacular, but tame enough to keep this a 1/1.5 pepper.
Quick read, with a sweet epilogue, that I almost wish it had been a longer book. Great first read for me for this author. :)
5 peppers, 1 pepper.

Thank you NetGalley and Lucy Day for the opportunity to read this book! Holiday romance is one of my favorites and reminded me of Hallmark Christmas movies!

Fun holiday romp. Had me early with hot Scot bazillionaire coming to town. A few bits of editorial blips and plot questions, but overall nice light read and would check out the others in the series, but read well as stand alone.

This was a cute enough, lighthearted escape at Christmas time. But nothing that I will stick with me in the future. Also just not a fan of the insta love trope which knocked my rating down a bit.

Thank you to net galley and blue crow publishing for this ARC of ‘One Sweet Holiday’
From opening this book and getting to know the characters I knew that I was going to not be able to put it down. The first time ever I’ve managed to read a book in one sitting. The characters I found to be instantly drawn to. They were well developed and the author handled the difficult topics with such care and understanding. I’m so greatful to have been introduced to this author as the other books in the series have been added to my tbr immediately.

I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. Just the right balance between plot, character development, fun, and rooting for the main character. Add in a dash of family drama and you have the perfect fiction book. It definitely made me look into the other books in the series and I cannot wait to read the other books by this author!

While there were some predictable parts to this book, it didn't make it any less enjoyable to read! The story begins with laugh-out-loud moments with Gwen, the main character, and her desire to want to make her sister's wedding the fairy tale that her sister is hoping it to be. What we learn is Gwen had a very unfortunate break up that everyone in town seems to know about and as she's searching for a date for the wedding, she gets to know Logan who is staying at a lakehouse down the street from Gwen's. I loved the relationship between Gwen and her sister and between Gwen and Logan and rooted for both to have their happy ever after!

A sweet Christmas romance that tended to be a little on the predictable side but still good. It was also a fairly quick read.

Another book was a fun, and cute cover, that covers much darker topics.
Please be sure to read the TWs and Synopsis to pick this one up.
This IS a cute little holiday romcom, but each character is attempting to grow and heal from emotional turbulence in the their past. The support the characters provide is hopeful, and charming, and sweet.
Not my favorite but others seem to love it.
Also, who doesnt love a good fake dating plotline?
