The illustrations were bright and cheery but the rhyming text showing how a mother panda loves her panda child often seemed off the wall. Good idea, so-so execution.

This children's book is for very, very young children. They'll enjoy the super bright yellow color, and the two pandas, as well as the musicality of the text. But there isn't more to it, no real story.

I Love You by Mary Murphy is a cute book about two pandas who try to show each other by riddle and ryhmes how much they love each other. I love buying cute books for my grandchildren.

This was adorable. I liked the rhyming and it had a good cadence, you can tell it will be pleasant to be read aloud to kids.

The artwork was cute and aesthetically pleasing.

What a sweet book. Reminiscent of "My Favorite Things" from "The Sound of Music", "I Love You" shows an adult and a baby panda romping through fun activities—each of which is a new way to tell the baby panda that it is loved. "I love you like / a crayon drawing dragons", promises the book, and in turn I love the creativity that has gone into each choice.

The illustrations here are simple but high-contrast, with enough detail to keep readers entertained...and pandas that look truly snuggly. This is definitely one to be read aloud—young readers might enjoy it alone, of course, but it'll be at its best when it's not a solo endeavor; I'm willing to bet that the author made a point to read this aloud throughout the process of writing to check the flow and rhythm of the book. An excellent addition to an early reader's bookshelf.

What a cute and adorable two pandas! The mom and her kids.

The illustartion really make my day. You should read it with your kids and try to ask them “i love you like what?” based on the story. For example, I said to my daughter; i love you like a moon and the star.

This book explain about love the way you are between mom and their kids. Such a cute way to express the feelings. I really love the book like a paper and the tree! Is it realateable? Nevermind.

This is such a lovely picture book. The art style is really eye catching. The yellow background with the pandas really 'pops'. And, of course, it teaches very young children about love and the bond with caregivers. Lovely!

In this adorable children's book, the parent panda tells baby panda all of the ways they love them.

Two pandas being the main characters of this story drew me in. I thought it was cute how all of the different ways that the parent panda loves baby panda are parts of daily life. For example, "I love you like a bowl of juicy berries" and "I love you like a day at the seaside." These are things that once a young child comes to know and love in their own life, they will be able to understand more about just how much they are loved. I just think it's an adorable idea and was well executed throughout the book. A few of the references, however, were a little confusing even to me, like "I love you like clean water in a jar." This took me a minute before I realized in the illustration, a paintbrush was being washed in a clean jar of water. The pages of rhyming were cute to read outloud and we giggled when that page was over and it says, "PHEW!" because I did read it quickly due to the wait it was written.

The panda illustrations are very cute and I enjoyed seeing the parent panda and baby panda playing and doing things together. But overall, I do wish that there were more colors throughout this book and that all of the pages weren't the same bright shade of yellow. Some more variety or additions in the background might have encouraged the children to become more engaged in this book.

A basic book for a very young child. The illustrations were fine, but were very similar on each page. Nothing to really grab a child’s attention. The sentiment is sweet, but the last couple pages almost have too many words on them so the pictures can’t match all the words.

I’m assuming this is supposed to be a board book. As a board book it does work. It’s a mama panda, telling the baby panda all the ways that she loves them. And the author does a good job rhyming, and has a few different ideas on the ways to relate their love. I did enjoy this for the act of reading, but it’s one of those board books that will be here and gone within five years .

Pandas are my favorite animal so when I saw this on NetGalley I got it. I’m an adult but I love sweet kids books. I Love You was very sweet. It’s never explained but I’m guessing it’s a mom and her baby explaining the many ways they love each other. Very heartwarming.

Thanks to the author and publisher for the e-arc I received.

This is a cute book that would make a good board book. It rhymes and gives examples of things that you love like you love the reader. Could be a good gift.

We love Mary Murphy for comforting, simple stories. We still read Some Things Change often. The colors are vibrant and appealing to young eyes. The story is sweet and reassuring. It's calm and not silly, which makes it a good choice for bedtime.

Thank you NetGalley for an advance copy of the ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Very pleasant, this lively and very yellow book is a letter from a parent to a child – in this case both are pandas – testifying to their mutual love. It surprises perhaps in being in limerick rhyming scheme and meter to begin with, before branching off into other approaches, but is very readable and energetic due to the familiarity of the opening style. Simplicity in the illustrations, some "I love you like..."s that might raise an eyebrow but will be recognisable to the very young, and a most suitable ending, all make this a very welcome entrant to the shelf of such books. A strong four stars.

This book has super cute illustrations, and the pandas are adorable! However, even though I really like the pictures, the rhyming text sometimes feels random in a way that is more nonsensical than funny, and some of the rhymes feel forced. This was cute, but because there are so many far better books about a parent's love for their child, I would only recommend this to people who are mainly interested in the panda illustrations.

"How do I love thee? Let me count the ways!" Big and little panda tell many of the ways they love each other. Well done!
The illustrations by the author are fun, simple, colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!
