This was not what I expected. I didn’t realize when I downloaded this “journal” it would end up on my shelf for a review. While the journal seems user friendly if one wishes to keep track digitally of their books, hover, this e-journal is not for me. It has tabs and sections and a lot of fun entries, it also has many pages and information that doesn’t interest me. If I wish to journal my books, I’m old school and will keep in my paper book journal.

The NetGalley Reading Journal is a great resource for beginning reviewers and those who have been at it a while. One of the most important things a book reviewer can do is to stay organized. The planner is broken up by months of the year, like a traditional planner, but offers pages for keeping track of goals as well.

Overall this planner is a great option for any reviewers who don't already have a system for tracking their ARCs and review dates in place.

Started using this today and absolutely love it! That fact that this is free to download is crazy because I've seen reading journals to buy that aren't as in depth and aesthetically pleasing as this one!

I thought this was a very thoughtful gift from NetGalley. I especially like the Bingo and Best of the Year activities. I've never used a journal before so I'm not sure if I'll use it or not, but I do think it looks well put together and it seems like it would be a lot of fun for someone who enjoys journaling. A pretty good journal, though a lot of wasted space. Including a couple of challenges was a nice touch, but they could have been a little more interesting. It's not a journal I'll actually use, but it did give me a few ideas for things to add to my own.

A great little tool provided by We Are Bookish. I was using a simple spreadsheet to track my books, but I like the format of this cute little journal!

A great way to consider what I want to achieve throughout the year on NetGalley and in my reading journey, together with a beautiful way to record things along the way. This will be a lot of fun to reflect back on at the end of the year.

I have been looking for something like this for a while and this one is spot on, thank you! the formatting and style make the journal easy to collate stats and document thoughts as well as a visual space for covers and star ratings.

NetGalley's Reading Journal is perfect for both those who have NetGalley accounts and reader's in general. There are some really awesome tracking features that I have not seen in other journals, including: a PDF friendly format, navigable tabs for easy toggling, and a fun habit tracker. I love that you can have it on your laptop or phone and add photos of your book covers without having to print them out. Overall, this is a great tool for anyone that wants to electronically track their reads and reviews. I feel as if NetGalley has set me up for success in 2024!
