Oh my Goodness! What a story!

I've been meaning to read this ARC since before Christmas, when I was kindly sent it by the publisher.

The book had me hooked from the first few chapters. I thought I knew what was coming so many times, but the twists and turns just kept coming!

The characters are so diverse but still relatable. I felt so many emotions towards them all throughout, it was a real rollercoaster. I think seeing the story through so many different eyes and in different pieces made it so much more interesting than a straight-forward story.

I will definitely be buying the physical copy of this book when it is released, as well as copies for my friends and family. It was fantastic.

Thank you so much to Jane Corry and Penguin for this ARC. (Please keep them coming! :) )

This was as close to five stars as it could get. I absolutely loved almost all of it. I Died On A Tuesday definitely meets the headlines of 'couldn't put it down' and 'page turner' whereas I often find that for some books described that way then the reader must have either had glue on his or her fingers or it was a very windy day!!
Characters are excellent and credible even though they are often not. A really good pace is maintained and there are no 'waffly' segments.
Even though there are 3 separate main story streams - Robbie, Janie and Vanessa you know these will somehow be linked yet the book has many twists and turns as everything is revealed.
I did not give I Died On A Tuesday 5 stars as the end few chapters seemed to not quite match the majority of the book. It may have been me but somewhere in the book it is said that the 'day' was actually a Wednesday not a Tuesday so I expected a really big twist at the end - but I don't remember this being explained.
Still a definite must to read - in my opinion.

I thought this started a bit slowly but soon the pace quickened and I was engrossed, it certainly did not pan out the way I expected. The past often returns to bite us if we are not careful and this book shows that. An enjoyable read.

You know that with a title like this one it is going to be a thriller of a read! I love Jane Corry novels and this was another one that did not disappoint. She is excellent at writing suspense and making you wait until the very end to know what is going to happen. I love trying to guess the endings and this one was definitely amazing.

Jane Corry has done it again. It is a fast paced book that moves between two different timelines. Robbie is a popstar and is arrested on suspicion of a hit and run accident 20 years previously but did he do it?? I couldn't put this book down and it shows how fickle the media are and how fast people turn against you. This is one book not to be missed with plenty of twists and turns.

A great book with a unique storyline. Told from three perspectives along different timelines, the truth is gradually revealed. Lots of loose ends all get tied up eventually.

18-year-old Janie has the world and her bright future ahead of her. She’s about to leave behind the small, seaside town she’s known all her life to embark on a career in London in book publishing and couldn’t be more excited. She’ll miss home, especially her dad. They’ve only had each other since her mother died years earlier. But she’s about to start her life and she can’t wait.

She’s on her way home after her last early dawn swim in the bay when the peaceful stillness of the quiet Tuesday morning is suddenly shattered. A white van careens around the corner and onto the quiet street Janie is riding her bike along, and in one swift moment, her life is forever changed, and her dreams of a new life destroyed. She’s brutally run-down by the van and left for dead on the street.

Twenty years later

Robbie Manning, international pop superstar and all-around good guy, answers the front door of his palatial home to a pair of police officers who inform him that he’s being arrested for the attempted murder of Janie White. Everyone knows the horrifying story of Janie and what happened to her, and the mystery of who could have done such an awful thing has rattled the world for the last twenty years. But as word of Robbie’s arrest spreads, no one including Robbie’s family can believe it; Robbie is upstanding, a model citizen and family man. He couldn’t possibly have committed a hit-and-run that left a young woman paralyzed and unable to speak.

Robbie doesn’t deny the accusations. He’s been waiting for the truth to come out for the last two decades, and he’s ready for his punishment. He deserves it after what he did to Janie . . .

I must say that I enjoyed parts 1 & 2 - I was engrossed from the very first page and couldn’t put the book down. I just wanted to keep reading and find out what happened next. I did, unfortunately, find that the storyline lost its way slightly in part 3 and I got a little confused with what felt like a bit of information overload. I didn’t really understand the relevance of the Tuesday/Wednesday discovery.

That being said, the majority of the book I absolutely loved and I would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a compelling psychological suspense novel.

One accident. Three people involved. Who is hiding what? It was ok. Her books tend to get long to me. So just ok.

Raced through this on a cold Saturday in February.
Three different protagonists of how a terrible hit and run left Janie for dead. It all ties together with plenty twists and turns.
A cosy thriller book.
Thank you Net Galley & Jane Corry for an advanced copy.

This story describes the way in which three very different characters are connected by a hit and run accident that occurred some years ago.

Eighteen year old Janie was leaving home when she was badly injured and left for dead in a car accident. Years later Robbie Manning, music star, is arrested in connection with the incident. But is he really guilty? Vanessa, a witness support officer, has her own secrets to protect.

This story is told from multiple points of view, and we hear from all three of the protagonists. This is a really well written story, absorbing and with a few surprises along the way.

Recommended to anyone looking for an intelligent, engrossing read. It gets 3.5 stars.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book by Jane Corry. Three main characters, great storyline working out how they are all connected, and lots of twists and turns to keep you gripped and wanting to read more.

Read and reviewed in exchange for a free copy from NetGalley. Having really enjoyed Corry's previous books, I was pleased to be offered an ARC of her latest work. 'I Died on a Tuesday' was fantastic. Corry weaved the different storylines together well and created sympathy for her characters.

The book begins with Janie being badly injured in a car accident, and left for dead.

Years after the accident, Robbie, a famous rock star, is charged and arrested with a hit and run. Three main characters tell their story, in different timeframes, and it’s obvious that secrets are being hidden. Vanessa is a court helper, but still haunted by her husband Jack, who has now passed. Robbie and Janey also give their gripping version of the complex events which follow.

From the beginning, this is an incredible story – a roller coaster of ups and downs, twists and turns which keep you turning the pages. The book consists of short chapters, each told by a different character, which keeps up the pace and gives a more rounded picture.

All characters are interesting, with many secrets to be explored, and I thoroughly enjoyed discovering how each character was woven into the plot. I have read several books by Jane Corry, and this is one of her best.

Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC. The publication date is the 20th June.

The storyline had me gripped it had many twists and turns that made me gasp out loud! The book is told from different perspectives. One of the characters that I found intriguing was Vanessa due to the witness support angle which was a bit different and provided a connection to the plot.

Overall, an enjoyable read and that keeps you wanting to read on!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Just the book for these dark miserable January days. A great read with so many twists and turns I could barely keep up.
This is probably my favourite of Jane Corry’s books so far - about ordinary people to whom extraordinary things happen, this is compelling storytelling.

I Died on a Tuesday by Jane Corry.
Best-selling author Jane Corry begins her latest book by setting the scene with an intriguing title, I Died On a Tuesday. Immediately, the reader wants to know who died and why, what happened, and how the story will progress from such a stark opening statement. The premise is a clever one as it slowly reveals the plot with deliberate teasers and numerous skilful twists.
The pace is fast and complex with the three main narrators taking turns to divulge tantalising glimpses of the truth about Janie's accident. Her tragedy adversely affects many lives. Just when the facts about the beautiful teenager's dreadful accident seem straightforward, another devious twist throws everything into disarray. The main location of a sleepy Devon seaside town provides a wonderful contrast to the unscrupulous criminals who live within its environs. Even the seemingly everyday folk often have a dark side or harbour long-hidden, shameful secrets.
Fans of Jane Corry will surely enjoy this excellent and satisfying read. It keeps the reader guessing until the very end. Well deserving of 5 stars.
Many thanks to Penguin Random House and to Net Galley for supplying a review copy.
