Thank you Penguin and Netgalley.
A truly compelling read.
I really enjoyed this read, which you can't put down and read into the night.
Brilliant storyline and characters - recommended.

"The Wrong Sister" by Claire Douglas is a captivating psychological thriller that expertly weaves themes of family secrets, betrayal, and identity into a suspenseful narrative. The story revolves around two sisters, whose relationship is tested after a tragic event and the resurfacing of long-buried secrets.
Douglas's writing is sharp and engaging, drawing readers into the complex dynamics between the sisters. The characters are well-developed, each carrying their own burdens and motivations, which adds depth to the unfolding mystery. The alternating perspectives create a sense of intrigue, allowing readers to piece together the truth while questioning the reliability of each narrator.
The novel expertly explores the nuances of sibling rivalry and the impact of past choices on present relationships. As the plot twists and turns, Douglas keeps the tension high, making it difficult to put the book down. The pacing is well-balanced, with moments of intense suspense interspersed with quieter, reflective passages that enhance the emotional stakes.
Overall, "The Wrong Sister" is a gripping read that will resonate with fans of psychological thrillers. Claire Douglas has crafted a taut and thought-provoking narrative that raises questions about trust, loyalty, and the lengths one will go to protect those they love. This novel is a must-read for anyone looking for a compelling story filled with unexpected twists and rich character development.

Really enjoyed this read, the kind of book that you read late into the night and can’t wait to resume the next day. Great and thrilling storyline.

Due to being unwell I was not able to review this book in time for its publication.
Unfortunately, I can’t remember the plot but do know that I enjoyed the book.

What an excellent read, it had me guessing until the end, trying to tie up all the lose ends only to come along further down the road. Thoroughly enjoyed it and the writing, will be reading more from this author.

I love anything written by Claire Douglas.
This twisted tale follows a close knit family with secrets galore. I was guessing throughout who Holly really is, and I was never correct. I loved the little twist and the way the book kinds of ends on a cliffhanger… I can’t wait already what’s in store for us next from Claire.

Another page turner from this author. Set in the beautiful Chew Norton 2 sisters live worlds apart but still remain close. One Tasha married to her childhood sweetheart and Alice the high flying scientist who appears to have everything. Their mom having left for a life in France as soon as their dad died. Never recovering from the disappearance of her youngest child.
Tasha and Aaron try to rekindle their romance with a stay and Venice. Whilst Alice stays with her nieces in their home. When tragedy strikes. The plot is not even worth trying to work out as I can guarantee you would get it wrong. I can see this novel working so well as a drama series as who knows where the story will go and what the answers will be.

Another great thriller from Claire she really can’t do wrong ! I have read all of Claire’s for his day and they just seem to get better and better ! Always an instant buy for me !

As always, I was excited to read the authors next book, I was instantly hooked, this had such a good premise.
I preferred the first half of the book and loved getting to know them characters and learning about Holly.
Whilst it isn’t my favourite book by the author it is still an enjoyable read.

I started this book so many times, but it really didn't grab me. I was disappointed, because I usually very much enjoy Clare Douglas' books. For some reason, in this one, I bounced off it multiple times and wasn't able to get into it at all. Despite a hook that feels like it should have been gripping, I picked up and put this down several times over a period of about a month, but never got past the first few chapters. A DNF for me, sadly.

Fantastic book with great core characters. Recommend to friends for anyone who loves this genre of book!

Starts off good but ends in a disaster, it’s like someone else took over the writing completely?!
I guessed the twist early on.
All the characters were annoying, and their actions were just baffling.
On the plus side it is a fast paced read

Well, this was an incredible read. Not one to pick up just too close to bedtime unless you want to spend the whole night reading. A real page turner, psychological thriller. Claire Douglas knows just how to keep the reader interested. What a fantastic read.

Fantastic read....if u love lisa jewellery then you will love reading this book. Thanks netgalley for the copy.

Claire Douglas never disappoints! If you are a fan of Lisa Jewell I think you’d enjoy Claire’s writing. Domestic thriller done right!

I enjoyed the story and at the beginning it really led me in. I was on the edge of my seat with so many conspiracy theories going around and trying to work out what was going on but I did fear towards the middle It started to drag and I found that my mind was wondering and I was getting a bit bored. I stuck with it though as I felt invested however the ending felt a bit rushed and it wasn’t really much of a twist, so it was a little disappointing, but overall still a nice easy read.

The Wrong Sister is a twisty psychological thriller with several strands that all link to one another. Tasha is married with twin daughters and still lives in the town she grew up in. Her sister Alice has a successful career and a new husband. When Alice offers Tasha the chance to spend a week at her Venice home and will look after the twins the sister start a brief life swap. When things take a tragic turn, they work together to try and solve what actually happened and traumatic events from their past seem to be relevant to the mystery.
I found this book to be fast paced but also incredibly far fetched which detracted from my enjoyment. Fans of the genre will probably enjoy it.

Another fab novel from Claire Douglas . Pacy, packed with red herrings and great characters. It's only lost a star as I guessed the ending early on, but that may be down to an over familiarity with this genre. An immensely enjoyable read.

Sisters Tasha and Alice have grown up knowing they had a sister, Holly, who was snatched from her pram as a baby. Over the years they've come to terms with this, though they and their mum both think Holly could still be alive, she'd now be 30 and there's been no trace of her since.
Alice has a stellar career in genetics, a gorgeous husband, a big house in London and a holiday home in Venice. Tasha is envious, despite having two beautiful daughters and a loving husband, they have a very different, more mundane life. So when Alice convinces Tasha to use their place in Venice whilst she stays to look after the kids in the UK it's a dream holiday and a chance to rekindle the magic with her husband.
Little could they know that they are both being watched - and there's a dangerous person about to attack and alter their lives forever.
This story is told from multiple points of view, which gives insight into the characters and the pace keeps up throughout. This is one to read in just a day or two, you won't be able to put it down!

Being set around Bristol, this helps you to settle into the book: two sisters, two different paths. Tasha and Aaron stay in Alice's flat in Venice. Alice and her husband babysit the young twins. A mark on the pavement does that mean anything? An attack on Tasha and Aaron in Venice, then Kyle is killed in Tasha's house, and Alice is left seriously injured. What are the connections, so many twists and turns and a brilliant ending.
