Marni Mann is one of my favourite authors so I was excited to read this and it did not disappoint! As always, the author delivered an outstanding story that held my attention from page one right through til the very end.

Mr. Wicked is book two in the Hooked Series and this book is Grayson and Jovana’s steamy love story and it most certainly is steamy and packs a punch.


Grayson is an alpha billionaire and the CEO and one of the founders of Hooked, a popular national and international dating app that matches you up with your perfect match depending on what you are looking for. However, he doesn’t do relationships, he doesn’t hook up with any women using his own app. He is well known in the city of Boston, you could say he is somewhat of a celebrity so when he and Jovana, a sassy, smart and funny waitress and influencer cross paths they end up having a one-night stand. Grayson is honest with Jovana and informs her not to expect anything more than a one-night stand and as expected and completely understandably, she is insulted and quite hurt.

Days later Grayson finds himself in the media and it’s not for good reasons. He has been spotted and photographed with six women on a yacht… Which now has caused a shitstorm for his dating app and subscriptions are declining. To try and control the situation, a PR fix is needed and Grayson and his best friend (Laura) have come up with a plan. He needs to get married and show everyone that his app works. The thing is… Grayson would rather swallow razors than get married. He is trying to find this plan as much as possible but he is coming to realise that there is no other way to save the company.

When Laura and her friends meet Jovana, they see that she is the perfect fit and she can see that there is an undeniable attraction between her and Grayson. Can they convince Jovana to go along with this crazy plan?

I’m not going to dive in any deeper… But I will say, the chemistry between Jovana and Grayson is obvious. You can tell they are meant for each other with their witty and playful banter. It takes a bit for Grayson to let his guard down but when he does the connection and attraction he has with Jovana is pure and I loved reading that side of him.

All in all, this book was amazing, but I expected nothing less from Marni. She’s an amazing storyteller and continues to show her amazing talent with every book she releases.

This is one story that had me falling hard and fast for the dirty mouthed, sexy as sin, wicked hot, single, playboy, billionaire, extraordinaire Grayson Tanner. Who is all about the one and done approach to dating! No relationships for him. He is one of the inventors of “Hooked” an online dating app that promises to match you up with your perfect partner…depending of course what you are looking for.

Grayson is a man who doesn’t believe in commitments or marriage. So when he sees a sexy, beautiful waitress named Jovana, he goes after what he wants and that is her, in his bed, one night only. Never expecting to see her again. But when Jovana is the one leaving, earlier than he planned, with her middle fingers in the air. Grayson is left feeling and denying…the chemistry and the passion that had been between them.

But when a video goes viral of Grayson toasting to bachelorhood with six single ladies, he becomes a PR nightmare as his dating app tanks. So to correct the problem his partners and PR company force him to solve the problem he created. Grayson will need to change his narrative. He will need to find love and get married and that had him coming right back to Jovana.

Mr. Wicked had it all, witty banter, immediate attraction, heat, chemistry and a powerful alpha man being brought to his knees by an equally powerful female. It had me smiling, my heart racing, and a thousand butterflies taking flight in my stomach. I swooned so hard for these two and fell hopelessly in love cheering them on! I can’t wait for the next book in this series!!

There is one thing in this world you can count on, and that’s Marni writing a book that you will not be able to put down. This book is all that and more.

Grayson may have come up with the marriage part of their dating app, but it’s the furthest thing from his world. He is a forever bachelor and proud of it. That is until he gets a bottle of Coke from a beauty and his world is forever changed.

I love Grayson and Jovana, their road isn’t an easy one, but watching them come together is simply magic.

I am a Marni fan, I love how she tells a story, she leaves everything on the page. I am crazy about this series and I can’t wait for what comes next! Read this series, fall for these men, you will be better for it!

Jovana is a waitress who hood up with Grayson which was to be a one night stand. But when Grayson PR department tells him that he needs to be married to help with his image along with his success with Hooked. Grayson can only think of Jovana the women he can't get out of his mind. Enjoyed this book.

Mr Doesn’t Do Relationships meets the girl that changes everything. “Mr. Wicked” is a steamy, banter filled and emotional fake relationship that is a great addition to the series.

Grayson Tanner is one of the creators of Hooked and is living his best life. The app is successful, the money is great and the attention from women is wonderful. But after a celebrity blog reports his latest adventures, his friends and business partners hire a crisis manager. Jovana is an influencer by day and a waitress by night. The two have a past and she’s the obvious choice to help change Grayson’s public persona.

The chemistry between Grayson and Jovana was sizzling from the start and only intensified throughout the book. Grayson is a classic playboy who was anti-relationship and thought no woman would ever change his mind. He worked hard to get into college and to develop their app. Under the persona he built, is a genuine guy who cares for his friends and does want happiness. Jovana is a great woman and I loved her from the start. She’s a hard worker and is kind to everyone. I don’t blame her for how she was hesitant with Grayson, especially how they met and how he handled things. But as they spent time together, their friendship grew and a relationship formed. The two had some obsitcles to overcome and worked through them in a healthy way. The ending was sweet and wrapped up their book wonderfully.

I was happy to be able to do another early read for Marni. The Hooked series is SO good! I loved Easton but man oh man Mr. Wicked aka Grayson is the alpha hole I didn’t think I needed!

These two were so much fun to read. From the moment they met, you felt the chemistry between the two of them. They were steamy, with great banter, she was his light to his dark soul, but the bond that grew between them was powerful. I loved their relationship together, how they understood each other, how Jovana was able to show Grayson how it felt like to be truly cared for and how even a friendship with her was worth it. She was truly different. Ugh. Grayson Tanner has won over my heart, sorry Easton!

OK, I have to say that the premises of this book are quite interesting. Grayson is the typical Alphahole billionaire with a wounded past who doesn’t believe in love. While Jovana is the embodiment of an actual Disney Princess, for real you will think she’s bloody Snow White from the way everyone around her describes her. Basically, she’s just way too good for Grayson, and he knows it. I actually liked Jovana, she knows what she wants, and is not afraid to fight for it, despite being turned down time and time again by Grayson. I feel sorry for her every time Grason did and said something awful to her, he was a piece of work. But she didnt back down, and she called him out of his bullshit which I adore, you go girl!

Grayson on the other hand is getting on my nerves, how many times do I have to hear him say he doesn’t believe in love, like I get it man, don’t be annoying. Commitment phobe hero is one of my worst ick, even more, if the fact is been brought up way too many times. I guess he finally comes to his senses and makes it up towards the end, so I’ll forgive him. I was ready to throw a tantrum at the third-act conflict from his initial reaction, but fortunately, it take a different turn and I was grateful to his best friends for talking some sense into him.

Overall, I did have a good time reading this, better than her last book that I read for sure. Enough to make me curious about Easton (book #1) and Holden, which is gonna be a single-dad romance, and I will never get enough of that trope. If you’re already a fan of Manri Mann, I think you will enjoy this one.

Mr Wicked is the second book in the Hooked series. It is a full on Grumpy/Sunshine fake marriage. If you like dickhead main characters that doesn’t know his heart from a vodka bottle, who knows he loves the girl but refuses to admit it, then this book is for you. When Grayson shows his colors after their one night together, Jovana see the aholeness but still thinks she can change him. When he comes around a few months later needing her help, she makes him work for it. The sexual attraction these two have for each other is smokin hot.

My word! This book will hit you in the feels with angst, hope, and love. Grayson needs Jovanna like he needs air to survive. With her shiny outlook on love, she's the opposite of his grumpy Gus attitude. She fits him like a glove, and they set each other ablaze, the air sizzling around them. These two are perfect for each other in all the ways that count. I was rooting for them all along, watching their love grow and blossom. Love doesn't come easy. It takes a lot of hard work, especially in Grayson's circumstances. Grayson needs to learn how to love, and Jovanna is the only woman capable of breaking through his tough exterior. Can she succeed, or is Mr. Wicked too far past the point of no return for redemption?

First thing first I love Grayson but he also loved to push my buttons 😅 he was so sweet but he was also so mean but I’m so glad Jovana freaking humbled him 😂 Jovana is officially my favorite she doesn’t let anyone get to her and she is so sassy and I love her for it 💜 she was perfect for Grayson because she will always humble him and keep in place 😂💜 one thing I always say about Marni her spicy scenes are always so good 😍 but girl that plot twisted had me like what I had something in mind that I thought was going to happen but it didn’t lol

This was very entertaining. I love a character who thinks that they are incapable of love, I love seeing them fall so hard. Jovana had him on his knees from the first time that they met, he never stood a chance. I need a bonus chapter where she tells him that she's pregnant, it would be so good.

Marni jumped right to the spicy with this one and it was phenomenal! Grayson is a billionaire thanks to a dating app him and his friends created. They create a marriage branch and single dad branch as well and those are taking off. Grayson has a new girl to spend the night with a few days a week and all is well until Jovanna.
Jovanna is a social media influencer and a bar tender. She serves Grayson one night and both feel an instant attraction. Grayson let's her know after a particularly spicy evening that this was a one time deal and she had to leave in the morning. Jovanna is stunned but keeps her composure.
Grayson decides to have a little Mr. Wicked style fun and rents out a yacht. With 6 other women to attend. At least that's the media's portrayal. This causes the creator of the marriage branch some serious trouble when his playboy ways come out in a smear campaign.
His PR team let's him know he needs to find someone to marry ASAP and it will be a contract deal. Who better than the woman he hasn't been able to forget...Jovanna. Their story is one wild ride and I couldn't flip the pages fast enough! If you like spice and a whirlwind romance, this book is perfect!

I’m loving meeting the men from Hooked. Every one of these billionaires has a story to tell and it’s going to take someone very special to tame them. This is Grayson Tanner and Jovana Winter’s entertaining story and it’s book 2 in the Hooked Series.
Grayson only ever promises one night and he never expected to see social media influencer Jovana again but when a holiday he took on a yacht with 6 women goes viral he needs some help to same the business he started with his two best friends. How can he promote a dating app and a HEA when he doesn’t believe in love himself……
Jovana is brought in to have a fake relation for one year but from the moment she met Grayson on that one night she knew she wanted more. So can fake become real, can she convince him love is worth a chance.
Mr Wicked ticked all my boxes, i smiled, i swooned and i really cheered this couple on. I fell hard and fast for Grayson and i adored Jovana but it was the camaraderie this group of friends share that made this a great read. A wonderful addition to the series that has left me excited for the next book.

This is the first book I've read by Marni Mann, and I really enjoyed it. Grayon has commitment issues stemming from his past, while Jovana is our sunshine heroine who believes in love and happy ever afters.

Their one-night stand brings them closer, and there's an instant connection, but Grayon, being a playboy, avoids accepting his feelings for Jovana. When Grayon finds himself in a scandal that affects his business, he needs to improve his reputation by faking a relationship. This brings Jovana and Grayon even closer as they get to know each other, and Jovana is determined to make Grayon fall in love with her. Of course, there's an unexpected twist towards the end.

Overall, this book was a decent read, and I liked it. I loved Grayon being grumpy while Jovana was his total opposite. Jovana's sassy side and how she pushed all of Grayon's buttons were highlights for me. If you're into billionaire grumpy x sunshine romance and insta-love, then this book is definitely for you

This was my first Marni Mann book and I was not disappointed. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Grayson and his antics. He's the founder of the marriage branch of a dating app on paper but an eternal bachelor at heart. Grayson has his own trauma and baggage to work through and Jovana was there to be his sunshine.

After Grayson and Jovana have a one night stand, he sticks his foot in his mouth, in more ways that one and is forced to fake date and marry an influencer to save not only his branch of the dating app but the entire dating app, and his best friend's portions as well. Jovana was disappointed in the ending of their one night together but was willing to help him out, after humbling him a little bit. Loved the dynamic of the couple as they blossomed from fake dating into real feelings territory.

Overall, this was a quick read and I look forward to reading more from Marni!

Grayson EARNED every bit of his "Mr.Wicked" persona. That is until he meets "the one". I loved that even though Grayson pulled every stop to push Jovana away, she pushed even harder. Watching his walls crumble was just as good as the spice in this story. And speaking of spice.... It was SPICING. Watching Jovana conquer her dreams all while getting the guy was perfection.

I love the friendship with Grayson and the other guys (&gals) from hooked. It's definitely some of my favorite found family aspects.
