I think a setting can make a huge difference in a story and this one proves it.
I fell in love with Sand Dollar Cove and all the residents there, I’m so happy I have book two already to continue reading.

I enjoyed this story, my first by this author. The detail to the settings was fabulous as she gave enough detail so you could envision them but not so much you were bored. The plot was was developed as were the characters who you couldn’t help but love or dislike. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This is the first book in the Sand Dollar Cove series and we meet Hannah as she's struggling to manage the Seaside Resort. She hasn't had an easy life, but things begin to change when she finds a mysterious old postcard in one of the cottages. Her romance with Guy has an interesting twist to it, and I really enjoyed the mystery surrounding the people in the picture on the postcard and the end result. It's well-written and I'm looking forward to Mary's story in the next book.

Jennifer writes beautiful women’s fiction set in small towns in the Pacific Northwest. This book begins a trilogy set in Sand Dollar Cove, a seaside town in Washington.

The main character is Hannah, a dedicated sister, granddaughter, and employee at the Seaside Resort. Hannah feels she should become the next general manager, but the corporation who owns the resort may not feel the same way.

Hannah begins a competition with the new personal trainer, Guy, for the position.

This book has heart. It speaks to the struggles of hard working people who are one paycheck or catastrophe away from homelessness. It has family, secrets, humor, and romance.

It has a mystery of a box that Hannah finds that includes a postcard with Frank Sinatra’s autograph and a cryptic note from someone named Joe.

It also has characters who stories that I look forward to continue to read about in the next book.

This was a book I didn’t realize I needed to read. I loved the sisters Hannah and Mary and that Guy kept me guessing. I guess I’ve read too many mysteries to not see there was something up with him.

This one is a lot about grit and determination and a little about love. The writing style made it easy to read and the great characters made me not want to put it down.

I found I wanted to visit the quaint resort and experience Sand Dollar Cove for myself.

This was a great small-town story. I would consider it a romance as there was a good amount of chemistry between Hannah and Guy throughout the story but the plot seemed bigger that just romantic. Guy was so sweet trying to help Hannah and her family with the little things. Their nights spent at the cabin always made me smile. I loved how close Hannah was with her sister and grandmother and how they took their struggles with as much optimism as you can with the sort of situations they found themselves in. It was such a heartwarming story and I could feel the passion Hanna had for the cove. There were a couple of small twists that I did not put together until right before it was revealed. I thought it was beautifully written and I can not wait to see how the story continues after that cliffhanger of an ending.

I loved Hannah. She's dealt a rough hand.. Losing her father at a young age and then her mother to alcoholism which leads to an accident with her daughters and which leads their grandmother to be their guardian. Now she's the carer of her grandma and her sister Mary while working at a seaside resort.

Now there's a mysterious new hire, Guy, with good looks for days and an air of intrigue about him. He and Hannah are "put up" for the same promotion though Hannah had been working towards it for years.

I figured out a bit of Guy's story but there was even more to uncover. I did like how helpful he was to Hannah and her little family.

I am ready to continue the series because of what happens to Mary which I won't spoil but I can't believe what she'll have to deal with in her book!

I loved this book set in a hotel in Sand Dollar Cove. You can almost smell the sea air and imagine life at the Cove. Hannah and her sister help look after their grandmother and have to juggle work and education commitments It covers some tough issues and family dynamics. I was interested to see how the postcards from the title would be woven into the story.

I enjoyed this story! This is the first in a series that takes place in Sand Dollar Cove. Hannah is the assistant manager at the seaside resort in Sand Dollar Cove. She works hard and helps take care of everyone including her sister Mary and her grandmother Cheryl. Her grandmother is a retired housekeeper at the resort, who raised the 2 girls after their father passed away, and her mother was unable to take care of them. Soon she meets Guy, the new trainer at the resort, who charms the clients and the staff there.

I enjoyed all of the characters Hannah, Mary, and her grandma Cheryl. I felt bad for Hannah, the oldest sister, who felt like she had to work hard to take care of everyone. She was working for the seaside resort and never seemed to be able to catch a break. There is intrigue and romance as the mystery unfolds. It was a good pace to keep me interested in finding out what would happen next.

I have the next two books in the series and I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next.

I am s0 glad that I started this series, the characters have become friends and I am glad that there are multiple books so I can stop back and see how they are doing. The characters and the situations feel real, they are struggling to figure out life, and love, and family. This is a series for readers that are fans of small town romance books where family and community are important.

This book focuses on Hannah and how she has worked hard to support her family and create a career for herself and now it seems to be all falling apart. Her family has been displaced by broken pipes, her dream job is in jeopardy because of an unfeeling corporation, and there is a new trainer, Guy, who is just to good to be true. What can Hannah do? And why is Guy so helpful? She doesn't have time for a distraction, plus she doesn't trust love. As secrets are revealed and the truth is discovered Hannah has to make a decision about what she really wants. A decision that can change everything.

This book is the first book of the Sand Dollar Cove series.

The story begins with Hannah Turner who discovers a jar of timeworn postcards. Hannah Turner loves Sand Dollar Cove and while working at the resort, she meets a newcomer from New York named Guy. Hannah is instantly drawn to his good looks and his blue colored eyes. However, Hannah soon finds that Guy has been holding secrets of his own. Meanwhile Hannah, who keeps fond memories of the cottage is sad to have the cottage torn down and she discovers a set of postcards that had memories about the cottage.

To me, this was well written and the author does a good job of making the reader feel like they are connected to the character. You are instantly drawn to the main character, Hannah and as a reader, Hannah is a likable character and not only that, she is also hardworking and loyal as well. I like the whole descriptions of Sand Dollar Cove that actually makes the reader feel like they are at the scene. There were emotional and heartbreaking parts in the book as well. As this is a series and as I enjoyed the first book, I cannot wait to reader the next book of the series. This book worth 4.5 stars.

Jennifer Bardsley is an excellent writer and she paces POSTCARDS FROM THE COVE exceptionally well. To me, it’s a page-turner… probably because I was emotionally invested in Hannah Turner. I couldn’t wait to see what direction her life went in. The writing flows nicely in POSTCARDS FROM THE COVE and I was engaged with the characters and I was rooting for them the entire book. Not to mention, Jennifer’s descriptions of Sand Dollar Cove had me wanting to pack a bag and head to the cove to visit my new found friends.

POSTCARDS FROM THE COVE hooked me from the very beginning to the very last page. I really loved the main characters, well, Guy kept me guessing with what his story was really about, which seemed to move the story along quickly. The writing in POSTCARDS FROM THE COVE is wonderful, and the emotional ride the author took us on was thrilling. Sometimes I have to read something where someone isn’t being murdered or tortured and read some women’s fiction. POSTCARDS FROM THE COVE is light on romance, likable and believable characters with a bit of humor and sadness to add to the mix. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to continue with this series.

POSTCARDS FROM THE COVE is the first time reading Jennifer Bardsley, but it surely won’t be the last. The way she kept me guessing about Guy and wondering if he was too good to be true kept me glued to this story. Plus I truly felt bad for Hannah. She’s responsible for so much and is trying so hard to do everything for everyone, but she is drowning. One bad thing happens after another and my heart really went out to her. I can’t wait to read the next book, Photographs From the Cove as this one ends with quite a cliff hanger.

Hannah Turner loves Sand Dollar Cove it has always made her feel at home, she finds comfort and solitude when she is there. Sand Dollar Cove holds many memories of her past, with all the familiar places where she and her father would spend time together. Her favorite place of all is the old, rundown cottage. The cottage is going to be torn down, and all of the wonderful memories there will be demolished. While clearing out the cottage in preparation of the cottage being torn down, she discovers a box of postcards. She reads through the postcards she realizes that she isn’t the only one with fond memories of the cottage. It breaks her heart to think about all the memories that will be lost forever once the cottage is demolished.

Postcards from the Cove written by author Jennifer Bardsley is a wonderful and heart-warming novel. Bardsley is a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed her writing style. If you want to be transported to the beautiful shores of Sand Dollar Cove, this book will do just that. The author does a great job of describing the sights, sounds and scents of the Cove, and you can feel the sand in between your toes. This fast paced read hit all the feels and I really liked Hannah and Guy’s story. This story tugged at my heartstrings from the first page to the last. I am really excited about this new series and I can’t wait to dive in to Mary’s story. I highly recommend this book.

this is the first book in a series, it can be read as a standalone. I have read all the books in the series and enjoyed them.

What an enjoyable kick off to the Sand Dollar Cove series! This cozy romance has family secrets, drama and a few little twists that weren’t all that hard to figure out, but not so obvious that it ruins it. There are characters that you want to get to know as well as some unsavory extras that you want to kick in the shins. I stayed invested in the story all the way through … right to the cliffhanger that leads nicely into book two. I found this one light, easy and fast paced … a perfect little seaside escape! I’m looking forward to the next in the series!

Each book tells the story of one of Sand Dollar Cove's inhabitants. In Postcards from the Cove Hannah Turner is the main character.
Hannah works at Seaside Resort. She knows the place inside and out, because not only has she been working there for a long time, her grandmother Cheryl used to work there too, bringing her granddaughters to work with her. So Hannah and her sister Mary practically grew up at Seaside Resort.
Hannah and Mary have been raised by their grandmother, because their father passed away unexpectedly when they were little. Their mother couldn't bare this loss and turned to substance abuse. After nearly killing herself and her children in a car crash, Cheryl fought for total custody and won.
That is all in the past. The three of them are still living together. Hannah is trying to provide for both her grandmother and her sister, while her sister studies and has a parttime job. Hannah dreams of becoming Seaside Resort's general manager and it even looks like she will become the new manager! But then things change. A new employee, Guy, captures Hannah's attention and at the same time the Turner familiy looses their appartement and have nowhere to live anymore. Luckily the handsome Guy is also very friendly and helps them out whenever he can. But is all as it should be at Seaside Resort?

Postcards from the Cove is a book with quite a lot of plot in it. It takes some time to introduce the main characters, before the story really gets going. But once it did, I could barely put it down. I just had to know if Hannah would actually become general manager, if she would confess to be in love with Guy, if Guy would love her back and if they would overcome the difficulties they were facing. I would love to get into these difficulties, but then I would spoil too much of the story. So you better pick up this book yourself!

Next up is Photographs from the Cove and as far as I know this second book in the series is about Mary, Hannah's sister. I am definitely looking forward to reading the second novel too!

A story that gives you romance, intrigue and family secrets.
The characters are engaging and likeable.
The mysterious twist kept me reading on and on.
I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

The description of Sand Dollar Cove is so lovely. I surely want to visit there.
This is my first read by this author. I loved the descriptions of the area, so warm and inviting, waves crashing against the cliffs, sandy beaches and rustic cabins.
The seaside setting will draw you into this story.
The characters are likable, and I enjoyed getting to know them as the story progressed. There are a lot of emotions at play in this story. Hannah is such a strong character; she does a top-of-the-line job at work and is there for her family every step of the way.
A mystery, family dynamics, a warm and hospitable setting along with realistic situations and characters I loved will have me diving right into the second and third books in this series right away.
Cozy and entertaining this will be the one you'll be recommending to your friends.

Sand Dollar Cove was never a place I expected to visit, but I was instantly swept away and I cant wait to go back. Beardsley doesn’t disappoint in this latest novel. Her signature style shines in the cove as we follow Hannah and her friends and family through their ups and downs. Best of all was the mysterious twist, a la Austen, that was both satisfying and unexpected. This is a sweet romance that slow burns into a dramatic end you won’t want to miss.
