Twenty-five years ago Leah Pearce had a sleepover with her three best friends and the same night her friends were taken and no one knew what happened. Everyone thought that Leah was intentionally hiding what happened that night until the prequel to "After the Sleepover" reveals every bit of truth.

In this book, the same happens - but 3 boys disappear and no one knows how! This was a faster book than the 1st one in the series - as the story unfolds secrets are revealed, this book was a nail biting read!

Thanks to Netgalley, Bookouture Audio & Kerry WIlkinson for approving the audio ARC in exchange for an unbiased review.

Format: Audiobook, Genre: psychological thriller, mystery

Leah went through an awful childhood experience with three of her friends disappearing during a sleepover. She found a way to move forward and live her life. Twenty-five years later, three more boys go missing. Just like the past disappearance, she finds herself immersed in the investigation of the missing boys. Leah’s past experiences have made her timid, but she perseveres to provide support to an old childhood friend and help the investigation.

I was initially very confused by this story and had a hard time following. This was an advance audio from @NetGalley, so, I did some research and learned that this is a sequel to The Night of the Sleepover. I went back and found a copy of the first book to read and now that I’m caught up, I loved the story. I don’t recommend trying to read/listen to this story as a stand-alone. However, I do recommend the series!! The narrator, @Olivia.Darnely, did an excellent job of portraying depth of this story. Her voice was so melancholy and appropriate for the missing kids. This is a great series for lovers of psychological thrillers. There are a lot of twists and surprises all the way to the last page. Thank you #NetGalley and @Kerry.Wilkinson for this ARC copy!

This is the second book in the series. I would recommend you read the first as there is alot of references to the first read and the backstory. It’s a fast paced read that keeps you guessing and throws you many twists and turns along the way. The characters were likeable enough but kept you at arms length somewhat which added to the suspense. This one keeps you guessing till the last word which is always a plus in a read. The narration was engaging and kept your attention.

Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to listen to and review #AfterTheSleepover

Okay I really wanted to love this audiobook, but it just started out so slow. The ending was really good though!

I had a great time reading this was a good edition to the previous book Night of the Sleepover. This was a fast paced Thriller with with lots of twists. My only complaint is that it wasn't long enough, lol. I will definitely be looking to read more from this author.
I listened to this on audio, and it was enjoyable and well-read and kept me engaged in the story.

Thank you to Netgalley, Bookouture, and Kerry Wilkinson for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review

I enjoyed reading and trying to figure out what was going on and who could have done it. But I did feel lost at some times. I also felt like there was parts that were missing for me. Overall, I hope to continue on with this series as I am a huge fan of thrillers.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for gifting me both a digital and audio ARC of the latest thriller by Kerry Wilkinson, with the audio narrated by Olivia Darnely - 4 stars!

Twenty-five years ago, Leah had a sleepover with 3 friends. By the time morning rolled around, Leah was the only one left. Now history appears to be repeating itself. Three boys decide to camp out near one of their homes; when morning dawns, they're gone.

This is the second book in this series, which I didn't realize, but it definitely works as a stand alone too. It's tense and as a parent, you can only imagine the heartbreak of both of these situations. This one had an open ending, so I'm definitely hoping there is another book in this series!

This is the second book in a duology with the first book being The Night of the Sleepover. To ensure I could provide an honest review I downloaded and listened to the first book before listening to this one. The first book is excellent (an easy 4.5 stars) but unfortunately this follow-up didn't leave me feeling as satisfied. I would advise that the first novel should be read prior to this one to give the reader more of an idea as to the main character's motivations and actions.

25 years ago 3 of Leah's friends went missing during a sleepover, and now it has happened all over again with three teenage boys going missing whilst camping out together. The mother of one of the boys turns to Leah for support and the story follows the two women as they try to figure out where the boys are/what happened to them.

The story has the potential to be as thrilling as the first but I thoughts that the story seemed to jump to new scenes from out of nowhere, which left me confused as to how we got there. On a couple of occasions I had to go back and check the audio hadn't jumped ahead/skipped.

The characters were well developed (again I would advise to read the first book prior to this one) and the ended was a twisty surprise. The book was excellently narrated and the narrator did a great job of instilling emotion and urgency.

Overall, I enjoyed the book, I didn't want to not finish so it kept me interested enough, however, I thought it was somewhat disappointing coming off of the first in the duology which I thought was excellent.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #BookoutureAudio for the ARC #AfterTheSleepover by #KerryWilkinson. This second book in the series was just as good as the first. It was twisted and demented and the fact that the ending could happen is utterly devastating. But that’s what makes this book so dang good. Highly recommend this series and this author.

I thought it was odd when I downloaded this audiobook that it was less than 3 hours. I thought maybe it was a much shorter book? However, you quickly notice that the book jumps around a lot and doesn’t seem to finish a “scene”. I think I downloaded faulty copy.

However, it is a shame that this is the case because it does seem like a great book! From what I heard, it seems very intriguing and twisty. After reading the sleepover, I can only imagine!

Hopefully, I will get the chance to listen to the full copy so I can properly rate this book and enjoy the story.

AFTER THE SLEEPOVER is the second book in the Sleepover series. I would recommend reading THE NIGHT OF THE SLEEPOVER before this book. The story picks back up from twenty-five years earlier when Leah's friends all disappeared during a sleepover. Now there are boys missing that were camping out on a local farm. Leah finds herself reliving this once again. She tries to help the investigators, but will they ever find the missing boy? Although this is a short book, it's filled with suspense. It ends on a cliffhanger, so I can see a sequel coming in the future!

Many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with a gifted copy.

If you've read the first book, then you're getting something similar here.
A mystery involving a disappearance , that has the whole village talking .
It very cleverly doesn't give away too much of book 1.
At times it felt like someone having a gossip with me, very chatty narration.
The whole thing felt very short, but not so sweet.
It was entertaining.
Thats pretty much what I'm hoping for from my audio

Not what I expected, but that's on me for not realising that this was book 2 when I requested the audiobook. It was a lot shorter than I expected too, I'd have been at 4 stars if it'd been fleshed out more.

However, although I can say I enjoyed a good read, I'm absolutely positive that this isn't kWs best book. Lol not that that would stop me from getting everything he writes as I love more or less all of his books!

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Kerry Wilkinson for the opportunity to review with an ARC!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the copy of After the Sleepover by Kerry Wilkinson.

This sounded like it would be a really good one but I didn’t feel like it was how I was expecting. It didn’t seem to entirely follow along the lines from the first book and just left me wanting more in a book.

After the Sleepover started out at the peak of brilliant rollercoaster with so much potential, but quickly crashed on the way down.
Having not known there was a first book, I read this as a stand-alone and it failed for me. Not enough insights to bring the reader up to date.
Leah is the lone survivor from 25 years ago, when 3 teenagers went missing. But I couldn’t figure out much about her story (because it was book 1). She now is helping to support the mom of a current missing teenager. Can history repeat itself?
I was hopeful that the ending would wrap this up nicely and leave things clearer, but I was left just thinking “what??”.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for this early audiobook in return for my honest opinion.

I am not sure if the narrator works for this audiobook. I found it a bit difficult to follow with the tone of the speaker. Also, it seems this is book 2 and there was no note or anything regarding that this was not the first book so I may have missed important parts of the story.

⭐⭐⭐⭐
After the Sleepover by Kerry Wilkinson, an audiobook narrated by Olivia Darnely was a gripping psychological suspense novel. It definitely made me guess what is going on but at the same time this book made me question did I understood what happened. After dropping the twist book ended and left me with "Excuse me - What?"
I went back to double-check that I didn't miss anything and no I didn't... So yes, I am not sure what happened...

Leah's life never was the same after that dark night when her friends disappeared. 25 years later similar thing happened again - 3 boys went camping and never came back... Is this a coincidence or there are some parallels? How many disappearances can take one small town? Are these cases related?

I absolutely loved the narrator's voice! It was so easy to listen, I literally managed to connect with the book straight away! And even more, when there was a small chapter from another book at the end of this audiobook, and because I went back to re-listen to the last chapter, Olivia Darnely's voice was so clear compared with that other narrator! Adding Olivia to my favorite narrator list!

Thank you Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for this advance copy!
