Oh my goodness! What a brilliant book.
I’ve read Kirsty Greenwood’s other books and have hoped for years that a new release would come. When I saw The Love Of My Afterlife available to request I was so excited. This is an author who writes such captivating, funny, slightly surreal, fantastic stories…and this book was all that!
I was hooked from the first page. Poor Delphie living her final moments choking on a burger. Delphie is a great character, flawed and normal and utterly likeable.
I just loved every bit of this story, I’m not going to include any spoilers in my review, but every single character was great.
There were some real emotional parts for the reader, I shed a few tears throughout. I particularly liked the element around Delphie’s mum! Perfect! There are parents like this and this relationship explained so much without getting bogged down in the detail of it all.
This is going to be one of those books that lives in my head and I will recommend to others.
Thank you NetGalley and publisher for my advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 📚

I would give it ten stars if I could.
It is without doubt one of my books of the year. Pure entertainment! What a pleasure it was to read and I feel sorry for those that have to wait until June to read it. I laughed, I cried, I cheered. A full circle of emotion and it is bound to be a big summer hit!

I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this book! Kirsty Greenwood is absolutely everything. This is not my first book from her and she truly never disappoints. I will be sharing full thoughts and a review, but just wanted to share my initial thoughts and excitement. I felt I was right there with the main character and I was so darn curious what was going to happen. Would she return to the earth and stay there? What about Jonah? So do soooo good.

The Love of My Afterlife is a funny love story that made me laugh out loud and had me wanting to read 'just one more chapter.'
Delphie finds herself unexpectedly dead. After randomly meeting a dreamy man for a very short time in the afterlife she's offered a second chance, find the man who was mistakenly sent to the afterlife and is now back in the real world and get him to kiss her within ten days in order to escape her own untimely death. There's only one problem, she only has his name to go on, and so once back in the land of the living she enlists the help of her aloof neighbour to help her locate the man.
She soon discovers that Cooper is not who she thought he was, and as he helps her track down the alleged man of her dreams, she gets to know him a little better. Her liaison from the afterlife is hilarious, and given she loves romantic comedies, the references to the tropes and books we all love from this genre promise to delight you. Throw in another fantastic friendship with her other unconventional neighbour Mr Yoon and The Love of My Afterlife will have you sighing with contentment as you finish the last page.

Thank you so much for this arc in exchange for an honest review!
I’m so grateful that I got approved for this arc because this book truly became one of my favourite romance books of all time.
I'm a huge believer of the afterlife and I loved the supernatural element it added to the story. I’ve never read anything like this before and I can’t remember the last time a book made me laugh and cry so hard.
I really enjoyed Delphi's character development, the beautiful love story and how everything turned out in the end.
There isn’t much more to say. Absolute perfection.

I absolutely loved this book and was rooting for the brilliant Delphie from the very start. A wonderful cast of characters and a fresh, funny, moving and original story. A truly fabulous read.
