This is a really well done horror novel, it had everything that I wanted from the description. I thought the use of the deal with the devil worked with the plot of the book. Christopher John Chater has a great writing style that I enjoyed getting to go through.

Thank you Netgalley, Christopher John Chater and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op, Chater Publishing for the eARC of Out of Body: Master of Archons.. When I read the blurb, I didn't realise that this is the 2nd book in an upcoming series called Out of Body, Needless to say, this book was still a good, standalone read. As well as the supernatural /occult elements. A False God wanting to control the world, there was a few nice little twists to the storyline. It was engaging and fun with the dark humour. . I do wish however that it could have been a little longer. Will be seeking out in first book by Christopher Chater and looking forward to reading more adventures of Harley Barker.

It's hilarious occult horror, what more can one ask for in a book?

I adored the writing style and attitude, it was just perfect for a fast, entertaining read. This one is without a doubt one of those books that you read because you want to just sit back, relax and enjoy yourself. If you do want to think Deep Thoughts and try to impress someone, I guess you should look elsewhere. But if you just wanna have a good time, this one is the one to pick.

I guess the people who'd love it the most are people looking for a fast read and like their horror to not always take itself that seriously. If in addition religious/occultism topics are your thing, this one is likely to be spot on.

Just make sure to leave your requirements of Serious elsewhere.

Nice characters all developed well, protag who you can really root for, and intriguing idea of the plot all come together to form a very good horror work. Would recommend.

Thank you  Christopher John Chater and NetGalley, for the ARC. I leave this review voluntarily and happily. Also, thank you publishers for your hard work!

I will admit I didn't know this was the second in a series, but that didn't stop me from reading it. I have to say this is definitely a book I enjoyed. it's not like any book I've read. It's different, out of this world, and I loved every moment of it. From start to finish, I couldn't tear my eyes away from the pages. I wanted to know what was going to happen, and this book didn't disappoint. It does leave you on a cliffhanger, so beware, but that only means there will be more in the future! I'm definitely going to pick up book one to see how everything started.

A book about demons, false gods, Satan, the occult... so much is put into this book, but in a good way. It's not too much or too little. It's perfectly paced, in my opinion, and it certainly doesn't leave you bored. You feel the emotions and all that happens flying off the pages and want nothing more than the characters to be ok in the end.

Like I said before, I haven't read a book like this before, but I'm glad to have read this one. Hope to read more from this author soon. This book deserved every star!
